Summary: Great Movie, Lovely Heroine, Dana Wheeler-Nicholson
Review: Chevy Chase is always hilarious. The real star of the movie is the incredibly gorgeous Dana Wheeler-Nicholson. I just wish she and Chevy would make a few more movies together. One of the best parts of the movie are when the police are chasing our hero thru the convention hall.

Summary: Irwin M Fletcher, you choose!
Review: It almost seems unnecessary to review this film, as it already has a strong 5 star rating. However, Chevy deserves that much. Fletch is a must see film. It is tough to explain, but Chevy's dry humor and sharp wit is so impressive. It is a pleasure to watch such an intelligent man pick people withouth them even knowing it. In general, this film is more popular with guys than with girls. I saw in it in 1985, and probably watch it yearly. Definitely a must see.

Summary: Cut To The Chase
Review: Chevy Chase is at his (...) best in this extremely funny film. He stars as Irwin "Fletch" Fletcher who is an investigative reporter for a L.A.. newspaper. He has gone undercover to expose drug smuggling activity among the L.A.P.D. Along the way he is approached by a rich aeronautical tycoon who claims to be terminally ill and wants Fletch to murder him in order to enact a large life insurance policy for his wife. Mr. Chase dons numerous disguises and uses fake names like Don Corleone, Daniel Poon and Gordon Liddy to hilarious results. He throws out one classic line after another and basically chews up every scene. There are some famous names like Geena Davis, George Wendt and Tim Matheson who are in the film, but this movie is all about Mr. Chase and everyone else takes a backseat.

Review: Chevy Chase's dry humor, quick wit, and subtle wise cracks makes "Fletch" worth seeing. I've got to admit, being a Chevy Chase fan made this a treat to watch. Geena Davis was way under used in this movie and the director could've added at least 10 more minutes to the film with her filling that time. I give this movie 4 stars out of a possible 5. This movie will keep a smile on your face. When Chevy sang "Moon River" I thought I'd fall over laughing.

Summary: Chevy Chase at his best
Review: This has to be my favorite movie of all time. Chevy Chase portrays a wise cracking, undercover reporter who will stop at nothing in order to solve a mystery and get the whole story. The video and audio quality leave a little to be desired for the die-hard DVD fan. It is in the 1.85:1 widescreen letterbox format which is a big plus. The audio seems to be mono, with a simulated stereo effect. You will not get any benefit from your premium sound system on this movie. As far as extras, there are some production notes and the movie's trailer. The trailer was kind of fun because I don't recall seeing it run when the movie first came out. Of course, the movie was made over 15 years ago, so what do you expect? Setting the audio aside, the humor and character interactions are terrific. This comedy would seem to be the timeless classic to add to your collection today!

Review: I have watched this movie quite a few times (probably over 10) and each and every time I find myself cracking up at how Chevy Chase portrays many different characters in his pursuit of the truth during his investigations as a popular newspaper columnist. It's great, you'll love it.

Summary: One of the most quotable films ever...
Review: This film has an excellent plot. Great characatures. Kareem Abdul Jabaar. It is Chevy Chase's best work. Sublime, punny, witty, cerebral humor. You don't usually get it all when you see a comedy, many have limited scope, holes like swiss cheese, sex and foul language to obtain a rating, and poor acting. This movie transcends it all...and if you know anything about ballbearings, it will keep you in stitches many times over.

Summary: Original, Refreshing, and Outragously Funny
Review: Chevy Chase uses his unique variety of low-key humor perfectly in this crime comedy. It's a great film and I highly recommend it. However, I must warn you to hold on to your chair or you will fall on the floor from laughing too hard. For some reason Chevy Chase films have a cult following in the American military - especially Caddyshack and Fletch. I remember when I was in the Air Force and working as an Aircraft Mechanic. We sometimes had a hard time diagnosing a problem on a jet. In that situation, it was common to hear someone say, "It must be the fritzer valve". And someone else would say, "Yep, we're gonna need some 40 weight ball bearings here". Anyone who has seen Fletch will understand the references.

Review: An often overlooked movie that I re-discovered 5 years ago after not seeing it for over 10. This by far is my favorite comedy ever. Just pay close attention and you will laugh all the way through. There is so much subtlety, everytime you watch it you'll see something new. If you aren't a big Chevy Chase fan, maybe you should stay away from it... but then again you may love him after seeing this movie. The DVD is good. Widescreen, 16x9 enhanced, looks clear all the way through. Dolby Surround is adequate for the movie. Comes with the trailer, cast/crew bios, and production notes. Highly recommendend.
