Summary: Hilarious Early Woody
Review: I liked the almost-documentary style that this was shot in. Funniest gag scene is when Woody is chained up with other cons(I nearly busted a gut on that one!). Watch what happens to Woody's soap gun as he almost escapes from the prison! This one is just downright funny, and does not include(which I still like) the philosophical discussions on life, death, sex, etc. This one is hilarious and is superior to Banannas.

Review: I watch this movie about 10 years ago. (Rented from stores). As a Allen's fan,It's a shame that I didn't even know the name of the movie before. I just can't help from laughing after I played it through the LD player. (with tears somehow). I recommended it to all my friends and made me watching it over 5 times withih the next 3 days. It's one of the best comedy I've ever seen! I couldn't buy it in Hong Kong until I find Amazon and it's great to realize that the DVD is even cheaper than the VHS. Anyone who loved Woody or comedy. Take it and run!

Summary: Nothing can beat this !!
Review: I'm a great Woody Allen's fan but I believe he offer us three types of movies. 1. Kind of serious movies 2. Nice comedies with great dialogues and history 3. Hilarious comedies. The last type are my type. If you've seen one of the following listed below, you MUST see the others: Love and Death, Bananas, Take the Money and Run, Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex But Were Afraid to Ask, Anie Hall, Sleeper, A Midsummer Night's Comedy and Zelig. Garanteed laughs !

Summary: Unexplainably funny
Review: If you don't buy, or at least rent this film you're a very stupid person. If you see it and don't like it than you just don't get it and you should stick to Jay Leno and Titles with the name "Ernest" in them.

Summary: Take the Money and Laugh.
Review: Not many can see Woody Allen as a thief, if even a simple pick-pocket, but yes, he has been one. I have no doubt in my mind that this is the best movie he has ever done. It has so many scenes that I have loved, but to mention my favorite would lead to sheer chaos. So I will.

Woody Allens character needs money desperately, and so, in a short thought attempt, he jimmies open a gumball machine and gets away with pockets and pockets of quarters.

I have not much to say about this film other than I wouldn't recommend buying it, but you at least have to see it,

Summary: Forced jokes, shameful mugging, dated.
Review: Really lousy combination of second-rate physical comedy and tepid jokes that go on way too long. I find Woody Allen more or less repulsive when he acts like the cute little schlemiel - -after all he's an adulterous, conniving, repulsive little fellow.

Summary: for those who like to laugh at stuff
Review: Simply put, this movie is hilarious. If you like movies with a bunch of ridiculous (and unexpected) scenes to laugh at, as well as hilarious lines to repeat to your friends later ("... and for marrying a horse."), this movie is for you. Its sort of like a 1969 version of "The Naked Gun" mixed with "Spinal Tap" and something else that is more intelligent than both. Check it out.

Summary: The funniest film of all time.
Review: Since I first viewed this gem in the late 70s on TV, I have never been the same. After countless viewings, the film still manages to crack me up. Woody was at his all time best with this, his directorial debut. Fantastic satire of prison/crime films done in a part "drama", part mock biography- style. If you have never seen this: WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? A 100% laugh riot.

Review: since I've seen this hilarious movie on TV. Favorite lines: "Is Kawalski a midget?" and "They received one hot meal a day -- a bowl of steam." I love the narrator's voice. Hilarious, just like the movie.
