Review: I agree that you either love this movie or hate it. I love it, and bought the DVD the day it came out in that format. I love DVD because you can skip to a favourite scene, but I realized when I started watching this movie that I love the whole thing. I think every single line in the movie is funny. NO EXCEPTIONS. Every single line. The bank robbery scene is pure genius. This is a credit to the Coens. The amazing part is that they have found a way to make such a funny movie without being offensive or obscene. An extremely intelligent comedy that only plays dumb.

Review: Nowhere near as funny as Barton Fink or dark as Miller's Crossing its still got some moments that are mindblowlingly(is this a real word?) funny.Like most coen bros. films this one attacks a certain kind of people and where they live. As Fargo bashed northerners, like Barton Fink bashed California and mostly Hollywood and the freaks who live there(as you can tell i really dig that film). This films focus is isolated trailor trash. It has a great start, the baby snatching redneck couple, the escaped inmates who still think its 1956, the evil biker guy and a great setting. Near the end it seems this movie just crumbles, like all that was to be said and done was done so in the first hour and their just making time. Its got a strange feel to it, not in the coen bros. way but just a loose "we have no idea how to make a movie" feel. Its allright, superb performances, ok script, falls apart near the end but makes up with a great narration ending. See Barton Fink, way better.

Review: ever since i was 16, this has been my fave flick. the classic one liners such as 'well, okay then', fill the entire movie. all of my friends and family have the whole movie memorized. it has also served as a great dating tool for me. i know when i watch this one with a chich, and she doesn't get the humour, it's over between us. if you haven't seen 'raising arizona', you must, now!

Review: All-time classic cult movie. The best comedic lines in the history of motion pictures would be the following: Police Detective to N. Arizona: "Excuse me Mr. Arizona, but do you have any disgruntle employees?" Nathan Arizona: "Disgruntle! Hell they're all disgruntle! " It just doesn't get any better than that.

Review: I first saw this movie on a date, and my date didn't like it...and not coincidentally, there was no second date! Now I'm married, and fortunately for him, my husband loves the movie (or at least he claims he does). Our entire family loves this movie, which is infinitely quotable--we can come up with quotes from it that suit a wide variety of situations. As my mom says (who typically thinks it's a waste of time to see a movie more than once), it is the kind of movie that just gets funnier with repeat viewings. It is absolutely hilarious, though as other reviewers have pointed out, you either love it or hate it...."Maybe it was Utah." Check it out, and who knows? Before long, you'll be quoting away!

Review: For those of you that say DON'T BUY THIS MOVIE, IF YOU HAVE TO SEE IT, RENT IT, please don't let your stupidity ruin the viewing experiance of others. This movie is just hilarious! Of course you do need one thing before you watch this, A SENSE OF HUMOR. If you go into this movie expecting a RoMaNtIc CoMeDy, then you don't know the true art of JOEL AND ETHAN COEN. We are lucky enough to have these two making these great movies that represent the majority of us that look at life with a sort of BLACK COMEDY. Not only is the dialogue hilarious, but the chase scenes, HOLY CRAP! "Don't watch this movie, it's a total waste of my hardearned money." Maybe you should spend some of that "hardearned" money, on a brain with a sense of freakin humor. This is the one movie that I respected Cage as an actor in. "HEY NICHOLAS CAGE CAN ACT." Then he went on to "Bigger fame" with Con Air. I think he needs to talk with JOEL AND ETHAN, and maybe they'll forget about his current "rotten acting credits", and put him in another movie like RASING ARIZONA. For those that liked this movie, which is the majority of the population of the WORLD, then you will also like BARTON FINK, and FARGO! JOEL AND ETHAN COEN are the directors of the century, and I hope they continue to make these types of movies for many years to come.

Review: This has to be the funniest movie of all time, I watched it 5 times over one weekend, and always found something new and never stopped laughing. Such innovative camera work, such fast and funny dialogue, such a wonderful film it can't be described in words!

Review: I loved this movie. Perhaps one of the best comedies in the last 20 years. Anyone who didn't like this movie should go back and really listen to the dialogue and see how witty and sharp it is. For example, take these two quotes concerning Holly Hunter's inability to conceive: "Her insides were a rocky place where my seed could find no purchase.", "Biology and the prejudices of others conspired to keep us childless." You gotta love it!

Review: I hate people who give bad reviews but don't give any reason WHY it deserves a bad review. For my GOOD review of this VERY FUNNY movie, let me just say that the Coen Bros. did a great job in creating odd and u-pleasent situations for these strange charatcers to go through. This was the stranges kind of crime farce. I think it is the Coen's best, although I think many people will argue with me about that. Not a waste of time or money, if you have a good sense of humor. This is a good movie.
