Summary: One of the Best Classic Movies!
Review: First of all, I loved it. :) It is suspenseful and funny at the same time. I especially liked Jack Lemmon in this movie....he made me laugh. :) I laughed at many scenes in this movie with the two musicians in drag. Marilyn Monroe did a very good job playing her part as "Sugar". Second of all, I wonder how the "censors" ran past this movie. At the beginning of this movie, the lady boss of the girls' band said the word "pregnant"....this is a 1959 movie! When she said that word, I remember on "I Love Lucy" that I heard they could not use the word "pregnant". There were more I have noticed but I won't explain it all. :) It doesn't matter anyway because this is a GREAT movie and I enjoyed it very much! Anyone who wants a good laugh should either buy or rent this movie - There are so many scenes in this one I enjoyed and you will too!

Review: Little ditty 'bout

Jack and Tony, dressed as girls

Wild times on the lamb

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Richer than even its admirers will allow.
Review: For too long this treasure has been dimmed by the gender bores, who seem to think that a man dressed as a woman is suddenly initiated into the joys of menstruation and pregnancy! I know, it is pretty revolutionary. But from a historical perspective, it emerges as an inspired attack on 1950s conformity, with its celebration of transformation (Wilder's films are always transposed fairy tales) - it is the men who cannot adapt to change, eg Spats, who must perish. The film is set in 1929, just before the Crash, this shadows everything that follows, especially the fact that Osgood is a millionaire. It's also a great gangster film, and the opening scene of a mock-funeral, and the terrifying proximity of our heroes to being slaughtered give the film a metaphysical reach Wilder rarely has. I mean, it's great fun as well, although, as ever with Wilder pacing and self-editing are a problem.

Summary: Comedy Classic with Lemmon, Curtis, and Monroe(and Brown!)
Review: SOME LIKE IT HOT is a hilarious classic that is now a legendary piece of comedy gold. One of Marilyn's best films, she is hilarious as Sugar. Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis are also great as the two musicians who witness the massacre, disguising as women to join a all-women group. Joe E. Brown is the man who "falls in love" with- someone. It is a great film that is probably the funniest ever! It was named the funniest movie ever made by the American Film Institute and is a four star movie of Leonard Maltin. Almost perfect classic film that all will enjoy!

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: My mom introduced this movie to me when I was a teenager. There were several classics she introduced me to that I didn't appreciate until I was older, but I immediately loved this one. It's still one of my favorites. Jack Lemmon "trying" to sleep on the train while the women are having a party (I'm a girl, I'm a girl) -- hilarious! Tony Curtis' Cary Grant impersonation of an oil tycoon -- hilarious! Too many hilarious scenes to name. Watch this movie!

Summary: One of the best movies I've ever seen
Review: I find it amazing that Monroe had to do, like, 50 takes on some scenes in this film because she and the other actors are really natural and believable. The plot is hysterical and I thought the ending was quite clever, though a cop-out. It was really exciting and - well, I know it's a cliché, but they just don't make'em like this any more!

Summary: One Of Wilder's Wildest!
Review: A.F.I's choice for the funniest movie ever made, is indeed quite funny. Whether it's the funniest movie of all time, is a mere matter of opinion, and not at all "a fact". Great performances by Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, and Marilyn Monroe. The standout to me is Joe E. Brown who delivers of course the famous ending line, "Nobody's perfect." A very good script written by I.A.L Diamond and Wilder. Much ,much better than their later outting "The Fortune Cookie". A excellent fast paced, humorous, movie which deserved to get Lemmon an Oscar nomination, but unrightly over-looked Curtis and Monroe! Top moments are Monroe singing "Running Wild" and my personal favorite "I'm Thru With Love", I couldn't stop laughing when Curtis ,dressed up like a woman, actually kissed her after the song! I enjoyed the scenes with Brown and Lemmon out on the town, dancing the tango. And of course the famous ending scene. Also the great George Raft turned in a "fun" performance as "Spats Colombo". A great movie everyone in need of a good laugh should watch. A COMEDY CLASSIC!

Summary: One of the Funniest Movies Done
Review: Thsi movie is rolling-through-the-isles hilarious. It's about two met who need to masquerade as women to hide from some men whose crime they witnessed. This movie is just sooo funny and everybody should own a copy. Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon are the funniest pair I have ever seen in a movie. Get your hands on this movie if you are in the mood for a great comedy.

Summary: All time great comedy hit
Review: Curtis and Lemmon in drag and Monroe's irresistible sexuality made this a heavyweight comedy. The scene on the train where Monroe sings "Running Wild" while Curtis and Lemmon ogle at her is a splendid example. The way Curtis and Lemmon are accepted into the girl's band and the jokes that go along with it are priceless. I'll bet the censors really had a sweaty time with this film, especially back in that relatively innocent time. Monroe was a perfect choice because her natural naive innocence and trust combined with that knockout body really helped turn up the temperature and add spice to the humor. Nobody should miss this comic masterpiece.
