Summary: PLEASE, Universal -- DO THIS DVD RIGHT!
Review: Let's hope Universal Studios does this DVD the right way and releases this classic in a letterboxed format (unlike the recent scandalous Disney pan-and-scan releases of movies like "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" and "The Moon-Spinners). "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" is probably one of the most eagerly awaited comedy titles to not yet appear on DVD -- let's hope Universal gets a nice, clean widescreen print for Don Knotts' best film!

Summary: Atta boy Universal!
Review: The Ghost and Mr. Chicken is finally being released on DVD by Universal Studios [...]. Its spec's are Anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) with Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono sound in a Snap Case housing. Personally I rate this movie as a piece of Americana at its best and should be on AFI's top 100 movies of all time. It is a true cinematic treasure that takes one back to the innocent but changing times of the 1960's. And anyway it's just a very funny movie!

Summary: COMING TO DVD ON SEPTEMBER 2!!!
Review: This movie and the other four movies that don knotts made at universal studios in the late 1960's (the reluctant astrounant,
the shakiest gun in the west, the love god? and how to frame a figg) will all be released on dvd on september 2nd of this year.

Summary: Don Knotts Rules!
Review: All of these early 1960's Don Knotts films are super. They're enjoyable on so many levels. The Vic Mizzy scores are remarkable and worth the price of admission. Why aren't these out on DVD???

Summary: Scary Hilarity
Review: You'll go from the edge of your seat to the edge of your sanity.
The organ music is just the best in ghostly mood music.
And like most, my favorite line is: "And they used Bon Ami".

Summary: My favorite fall pastime
Review: I have seen this movie at least once every year since I was 10 years old, so that means I have seen it at least.............well let's just say A LOT of times. :) It is a classic movie that will never grow old to me. My kids now look forward to watching it with me. I'd love to see it on DVD, only because I am afraid my tape will eventually wear out.
This movie is hilarious, even though I know exactly what each person will say and do it still cracks me up every time I see it. I recently ordered the CD by Vic Mizzy called Suites and Themes just to get the songs from the movie. They are creepy and fun at the same time.
Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Summary: My favorite fall pastime
Review: As soon as the trees start changing colors I think of this movie. Ever since I was probably 10 years old it has become my favorite fall pastime. So that means I have seen this movie at least 28 times but probably closer to 50. But I still crack at up Don Knotts jumpiness when inside the house and his nervousness with Alma on their dates.
It is too funny. A great movie for the whole family. I now have a few kids who look forward to seeing it as much as I do I the fall.
