Review: Tom Jones is the film that brought the superb English actor, Albert Finney to the attention of American moviegoers. The film is based on the novel of the same name which follows a young Casanova, Tom Jones (Mr. Finney) through 17th century England. The movie is a bawdy, tawdry tale, with alot of double entendres and sexual innuendo. It was considered quite risqué upon it's release in 1963. Critics loved it and the film went on to win the 1963 Best Picture Oscar.
