Summary: Better than the Holy Grail?
Review: Many people consider "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" to be Python's best movie. However, "Life of Brian" contains a mix of over-the-top slapstick and very subtle humor that is the Python trademark, and ties it all up with an ending that is far more enjoyable than that of the Holy Grail.

While some people consider the movie blasphemous, it never pokes fun of Christ (who appears in the film). Instead, it shows the desperation of the people to find some leader, rather than simply acting on their own. The scene where the crowd says, in perfect unison, "We're all individuals" epitomizes the Python belief that we are too eager to follow and let others do the thinking for us.

From the wooden spoon to the Judean People's Front to the disgust with the Romans for bringing peace, this movie is a skillful mix of comedy and social commentary.

Summary: Perhaps the greatest British Comedy to be re-released...
Review: The Life of Brian will definately be a movie to own if you are a Monty Python fan. This movie is one of the best parody's ever done on the story of Jesus. From stonings and false prophets to gay Centurions and a spaceship ride into space, this movie will have you laughing uncontrollably. Considering the source of the movie, and the style of British Comedy's, this will be considered the Monty Python classic of the Century.

Review: This movie is hilarious, especially with the scene where Pilot mentions his friend Biggus Dickus and the other guards are trying not to laugh. I know I couldn't stop laughing.

Summary: The second funniest movie ever
Review: The greatest comedy being Monty Python's Holy Grail, The Life of Brian is a close second. This movie will have you in stiches. From the transexual terrorist to Pilate ("Welease Wodger") this movie contains all kinds of hiliarious characters. This parody of the life of Christ is not quite sacrilegious but well worth any minor offense.

Review: Lovely British comedy set in the New Testament Biblical days. Timeless comments on society, religions, sociology, ... people in general.

Summary: Absolutely the best and funniest film ever made
Review: It's a very intelligent film about Brian who is believed by the people of being the Messiah.

Review: I love this movie. I especiall like the song at the end called "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life." I am a huge fan of Eric Idle. I saw him in the movie Nuns on the Run and he was hilarious. Graham Chapman plays Brian like a true professional. I cracked up laughing at the scene where the guards brought Brian to see Pilot and when they mention Biggus Dickus, the other guards tried not to laugh. That's the best scene in the whole movie. Go out and buy it.

Summary: The best comedy ever
Review: Where does one start? Ok, let me start with the one (and only) scene that I don't like: the spacecraft scene. But other than that this movie is 90 minutes pure comedy!! There isn't a dull moment in the whole movie. If anyone says otherwise, they either haven't seen it or have seen it only once. You have to watch it a couple of times to pick up every little nuance.

My favorite scenes are: The mountain sermon, the stoning, the haggle scene(!!!!), the scene with the hermit, Pontius Pilate scenes, and the scene in the colloseum where Stan wants to be called Loretta.

But again, all (but one) scenes are hilarious. If ever a comedy deserved 5 stars, it is this one. I would give it 6 if I could. But hey, that's just my opinion and tastes vary.

Summary: Superior comedy
Review: When I first saw this film in theaters, I noticed that about halfway through it, the elderly folks in the audience started walking out of the theater. But I went to go see it 3 more times after that. So my suggestion to you is to watch this film any way you can (and since it's currently not available on video, I suggest you scour your local video store for a copy).
