Summary: It's the dogs bollocks
Review: Such a funny film, from the women being stoned, and Brian getting locked up in jail and being called a lucky bast*** because he was spit on. The men in the jail too 'we've got lumps of it out the back'. Then the end with the always look on the bright side of life (or death). Such a cool film. EXCELLENT

Summary: Masterpiece
Review: This is what Monty Python will be remembered for in the future - their most sustained, coherent work, and one that is staggeringly funny and very very powerful in its message. Those who didn't see it, and protested anyway, were only improving the film by giving proof that its central theme of the stupidity of blind faith (and I'm sorry you religious Python fans - but that IS the point of this movie - it is a powerful atheist tract) was 100% accurate.

Fantatic piece of work. immensely funny, Graham Chapman's finest hour.

Summary: Straightening out misconceptions.
Review: I'll refrain from summarizing the plot, as I'm just writing to clear up anti-religious themes.

I, as a member of online Monty Python communities and as a Roman Catholic, do not find it offensive. I think the movies political attacks are about the time of Jesus, not about Jesus himself. Jesus only makes two appearences, once as a baby, and the other when he's giving his sermon on the mount. In this scene, Jesus has nothing to do with the action, he's just the background character as the rest of them get into arguments (very funny by the way). As I said, most jokes are aimed at the times. For example, there is a scene where a man is getting stoned for uttering the name of the Lord, and it just gets incredibly silly.

In conclusion, I'd just like to say that all of the people that I've met that find the movie offensive, haven't actually seen it. That includes all of the protesters who were marching for a boycott. Go ahead and watch it, if you think you'd like it.

Summary: fantastic DVD version!!!
Review: All too often in the rush to transfer a film from tape to DVD format, we get VHS-looking quality instead of DVD clarity. This time that isn't true! The picture for the Life of Brian is outstanding! Along with the great looks you still get a very funny movie....but that's been reviewed before. Get the DVD version...it's great!!!

Summary: The best Python film
Review: The best because it's the one with the most coherent plot as well as some of their best humor. I like the part where all the worshipers decide that he is indeed the Messiah and immediately split into factions over how to worship him, while one old man suggests that everyone stop and give thanks. He's ignored of course.

Summary: Always look on the bright side of life ......
Review: This is the only film so funny that it caused snot to shoot out of my nose. For that it gets 5 stars.

It was a bit embarrassing at the time since it was in a crowded cinema, but I don't think anybody noticed because everyone was crying with laughter. It was the 'Biggus Dickuss' scene, which sums up our British humour I suppose. Thank you Pythons for that moment alone.

Summary: It's a great film to forget..just so you can watch it again
Review: The more I watch The Life of Brian, the more ridiculous phrases and references I gather to annoy my friends. This is a FUN movie, that make's you think. It makes fun of all things equally ("follow the shoe") but with great and original wit. If you don't get it ... you don't get it, but if you do get it you won't get it anywhere else ("We are all individuals"). Where else could a skit about Latin grammar seem so amusing. With a beginning, middle and a catchy song to finish, what more could a person ask for. Do do, do do do do do do

Summary: What have the Pythons ever done for us?
Review: Apart from making us laugh until we've soiled ourselves? This is a truly brilliant movie, and I can't wait to upgrade from the fuzzy VHS version. Not quite as good as the Holy Grail, but then what is?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Zany, pastiche of Jesus Christ
Review: One of the classic Monty Python films. Not if you're sensitive about Christian religion

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: top notch Brit houmor
Review: The best of all the Monty Python movies combines first rate religous parody with biting commentary on society as a whole. One of the funniest movies since Blazing Saddles.
