Review: First of all I, myself, loved the movie. On the other hand, it was the DARKEST of dark comedies. At one point I thought that it was a suspense/horror flick in a couple parts, and then found myself laughing out loud in others. All around, I thought it was VERY good, but, Be sure you have some aspirin to pop during the movie because the suspense gave me a stress headache ( and I LOVE suspense movies). Ha Ha, enjoy!!!!!!!!

Summary: This is one sick movie- I LOVE IT
Review: For those who don't have weak stomachs and love DARK comedies, this movie is for you. I swear to god, when I went in to see this I was preparing myself for the most inhumane activities ever witnessed in a movie. I had read a critic's review, and he said "you cannot prepare yourself". So naturally I tried. I failed miserably. By the end of this movie you are so shocked by these "Very Bad Things" that it becomes almost funny, and that is where the dark comedy comes from.... good movie, give it a shot.

Review: christian slater makes a terrific psycho. Iwas very impressed with peter bergs work. It was a very entertaining movie from start to finish. I did not have high expectations after I had read previous reviews in magazines. They must have seen a different movie than I did.

Review: After reading some of the reviews in this list, I thought I'd give the movie a try. News Break: This movie is NOTHING like "Shallow Grave", "Heathers" or any of the other black comedies I enjoy. Slater's character is a F-ing psycho, Cameron Diaz is a whiny brat (which was refreshing, though still annoying) and most everyone else was just sort of there to be used as props to either be killed or verbally abused. Everything seemed strained, as though the filmakers just wanted to push the envelope as opposed to doing something with real originality. Probably the most annoying film since "Eight Heads in a Duffle Bag".

Review: Utterly astonishing. I knew the basic premise of the movie, but i had no idea as to how far it would go. the usual rules for a movie did not apply. i am always happy to see a movie that strays from the norm. The things these men do are things that people have thought about, but never really have been given the opportunity to act upon. what would i do? is a question that this film provokes.

Summary: One of the Best Movies of 1998
Review: Having said that, I can also say that this movie could have been better. The main problem with this movie, and it really is not that big of a problem, is that about an hour into the movie Berg, the writer and director, starts to fall in love with how obscene he thinks he is getting. Notice that I wrote "thinks he is getting." This undercuts many of the jokes, and makes them not as biting as they could have been. Like I said before, this is not that big of a problem, it just stops the movie from being great. I listed this movie at five stars, but it really deserves four and a half. I still do recommend the film, just with a few reservations.

Review: I don't think I've laughed so hard at a film since Pink Flamingoes. My God...what an incredible film. Superbly crafted performances, raw tension, and some of the darkest comedy this side of Sunday that would make John Waters proud. This was my favourite film of that year, the funniest film I've seen in 20 years, and one of the best films of the decade.
