Rating: Summary: One of the great black comedies off all times! Review: Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn are a match made in heaven. Neither of them have ever looked so beautiful. It's a fun and exciting story line that'll keep you interested. It's a shame Bruce Willis had to be in it. Just like The Sixth Sense, it would have be a lot better.
Rating: Summary: Funny, sexy, dark...etc! Review: I loved this movie! It's so funny. Every time I watch it I find something new and funny. This is a movie for everyone!
Rating: Summary: Great movie. Funny and a little creepy too. Review: This is one of my favorite movies. It's funny, creepy, and has really good acting by Streepe and Hawn. I love the part where Goldie Hawn gets really fat. LOL!
Rating: Summary: I've seen it 36 times.....and I WANT MORE!!! Review: This is my favourite movie. Streep, Hawn, Willis are really great. Now I know what the real immortal woman should look like!!! Well done!!!
Rating: Summary: A very good movie, terrible DVD video transfer. Review: This is a very enjoyable movie that is hurt by a terrible transfer to DVD. It looks a though the publisher used a VHS casette to make the DVD master. Until they release a decent DVD version, just by the VHS casette (or the Laser Disc, if you can find one).
Rating: Summary: Simply Original. Review: If you want to see something completly different, this movie is for you. With dazzling leading performances by Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn, impressive special effects and it's originality make of this movie a:"BIG LAUGH"
Rating: Summary: Great!! Review: A timeless tale of beauty, vanity and revenge. I reccomend this movie to anyone looking to be entertained!
Rating: Summary: This movie is hilarious! Review: I found this weird comedy to be one of the most entertaining films I've seen in a long time. The acting is great and Willis is ten times better as a nerdy plastic surgeon with a drinking problem than as the reluctant heroe of Armageddon. However it's a little to weird, especcially at the beginning.
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite movies of all time! Review: Death Becomes Her is a wonderfully funny movie. Also riddled with symbolism, this movie makes a broad point about vanity. Strong performances from the leading ladies: Streep, Hawn, and Rosalini. A great movie for anytime. However, the synopsis above is extremely off base.
Rating: Summary: great farce of female issues Review: Mainly the issues of jealousy and not losing one's looks.Helen (Goldie Hawn) is the mousy pal of glamourous Madeline (Streep.) Madeline constantly has to one-up Helen, who believes the trip ethat comes out of the mouth of her 'friend'. When Madeline successfully steals and marries Helen's boyfriend Ernest(Willis), Helen becomes obese and obsessed, ending up in a mental home where she bores the other patients by talking about Madeline, who knows of and delights in Helen's plight (the witch). A few years later, though, Madeline sees Helen at a party looking slim, young and happy. Turns out Helen has the secret to immortality and Madeline wants in on it. When she gets it, the fight really begins -- with incredible special effects -- and poor Ernest caught in the middle of it all. This is a great comedy on some real issues women face as they get older -- it's nice to see it in an exaggerated humorous light.
