Summary: Great Film!!!
Review: I am a huge John Cusack fan and this film is definitely one of his best. It shows off not only his acting ability but also his writing talent and sharp sense of humor. And the music in the film is so excellent that I find it hard to think of any other films where the soundtrack adds so much flavor to a movie. It's one of my favorites!

Summary: A smart black comedy.
Review: This was a film I watched at 2am half asleep, I can say it woke me up though. This is a really enjoyable film, the script is witty, and the plot is an interesting one. A man called Martin Blank (John Cusack) is a hitman who is called to a 10 year school reunion at Grosse Pointe, which happens to coincide with an assigment for him. When Martin arrives he visits his old girlfriend (Minnie Driver) who he stood up on the prom night, for this he has some explaining to do. On top of this he has a rival trying to do his job and another one trying to kill him. The script ( co-written by Cusack) is darkly witty and the performances by Minnie and Cusack are very well delivered (I reckon they were the best part of the movie).Really I would give it 4 1/2 stars because it was very enjoyable. It was a bit silly in one or two areas, which is a shme because I really enjoyd this film. I suggest you watch it when you can.

Summary: Great movie, great actors, great soundtrack
Review: Grosse Pointe Blank is a really good, darkly funny movie, with a great soundtrack. You'll never again listen to "99 luftballons" the same as before! Kudos to Cusack who co-wrote the script.

Summary: Intelligent and Fun - With intrigue of a hitman's character
Review: I instantly became a fan... this movie just plain rocks, rent if want and you'll soon be tempted to own it... lots of great 80s music and I heard the guy from The Clash picked it all. Great stuff, all my friends immediately go "OH YEAH!! I SAW THAT" when I ask them.

Summary: This is one great movie!
Review: After I watched this movie, I became an instant fan of John Cusack. The movie was almost a parody of some of society's awkwardness and emotional troubles. It had a lot of great dialogue that made you laugh out loud, along with the emotional twists that made you want to just cry. (Well, at least for me.) There are tons of scenes that you will later remember as your favorite, such as the one where Martin looks curiously into a baby's eyes, wondering if there is a meaning to life after all. The chemistry between J. Cusack and Minnie Driver is fun, and all of the friends I recommended this movie to loved it. In fact, I think we all have copies of it now. I would certainly recommend this to all. END

Summary: Great for everyone
Review: This movie is about a professoanl killer who decides to go back to his 10 year high school reunion. John Cusak plays Martin Q. Blank, the main character, his sister Joan Cusak plays his secretary Marcella, and Dan Akroyd plays Grocer another hitman. I loved this movie, because it has something for everyone. It has comedy, romance, intrigue, and action. The scenes that John and Joan Cusak share together are hilarious, and Akroyd is very sinister as Cusak's rival hitman. Plus you have the very talented Minnie Driver as the girlfriend Cusak stood up on prom night. This a great movie for a Saturday night with popcorn! END

Summary: OUTSTANDING FILM!
Review: This is by far one of John Cusack's best movies. Starring as a hitman who gets pushed into going back to his hometown, High School reunion, and to do a "job". He is finally forced to confront his past and challenge his values, while being the hunter and the hunted. Not only is this film about finding one's self, it is full of humor and a touch of romance. The chemistry of this film is SUPER! IT'S FUNNY,TOUCHING, & FULL OF STARS! JOHN CUSACK, ALAN ARKIN, MINNIE DRIVER, JOAN CUSACK, DAN AYKROYD and the rest, all give outstanding performances in this excellent film. END

Summary: Another Cusack Winner
Review: John Cusack rarely makes bad films, and he can be highly original when left to his own devices (as here). Cusack has managed to maintain a hip/cool image even as he has grown from teen heart throb ("Say Anything") to an actor now in his thirties.

Cusack plays a very neurotic hitman who has tired of the hitman game. After a stint in the military, he found he had a very unique talent: he is very good at killing people. He's made a very good living, but he is tired of the pressures of his profession (apparently there is a lot of competition in the hit man industry). He tries to sort his life out with a very reluctant therapist (the hilarious Alan Arkin) and decides to attend his high school reunion. Naturally, a hit man can't return to his high school reunion with out some kind of high jinks ensuing.

This movie is wildly original and funny, sometimes over the top, but always entertaining. My only real problem with it, there just did not seem to be a lot of chemistry between Minnie Driver and Cusack. In fact, she almost seems disinterested in her part from time-to-time. Still, this is worth viewing again and again. And everyone I lend it to loves it.
