Summary: Top notch film of hilarious dialogue and great characters!
Review: I have not laughed as hard as I did tonight for a very long time. Within ten minutes from the start of "Monsters, Inc." my sides hurt from howling with glee. This truly suprised me, for I am quite the harsh critic about movies, however "Monsters, Inc." is a true winner fit for people of all ages.

First, the Pros:

~ACTORS/ ACTRESSES: John Goodman and Billy Crystal deliver once of a lifetime performances as the lovable monsters in Monstropolis. Supported by a wonderful cast of slimy, scary, and funny characters "Monsters, Inc." has an amazing variety of characters whose unique personality's shine.

~GRAPHICS: The computer generated graphics are incredible. Generally I have a hard time sitting through cartoon movies, but "Monsters, Inc." pulls these graphics off beautifully.

~SCRIPT: How do I explain the witty word humor in "Monsters, Inc."? I love puns and other word jokes that require at least some intelligence and "Monsters, Inc." has one of the top ten scripts of all time because of the clever word humor that keeps the adults entertained while the kids are enjoying the colorful monsters.

~IMAGINATION: The writers for "Monsters, Inc." brilliantly create many devices for the movie that keep the story interesting. For instance, the use of ordinary doors in the movie as they are transformed into portals that lead to children's bedrooms around the world.

Cons:

~WANDERING PLOT: My one and only complaint with the entire movie is the wandering plot. About 2/3 of the way into the movie the story starts to wander and my mind followed. Before I knew what was happening I realized that I was drifting off into other thoughts besides the movie. This is due to a ten minute weak spot in the plot that causes the audience to loose interest momentarily. Perhaps this is an ideal time to run and grab the popcorn that the kids are asking for!

Overall:

Go see "Monsters, Inc." with your entire family or simply by yourself. However, I do have one warning: Be prepared to laugh and want to buy "Monsters, Inc." for your home!!!

Summary: Funny, Tender and Heart Warming
Review: My family and I went to see this movie on Thanksgiving Day. At first my sisters (ages 7 and 11) didn't want to go, especially the younger one and my parents were worried about the movie's content because of the inclusion of the word 'monster' in the title. In the end I got my way and we went to see it, and boy were they ever happy I insisted in going to see this one, because they ended up loving it.

The movie is funny, and yet it's tender and heart warming. The little girl, Boo, was just so sweet and "Scully" and "Mike" the two main monster characters were wonderfully hilarious. In my opinion the ending of the movie was somewhat bittersweet and almost moved me to tears, but to find out why you'll have to go and see the movie.

I give this film two thumbs up, and I recommend it to anyone, of any age. Excellent job Disney and Pixar !

Summary: this movie's great
Review: When I first saw it, I thought it was kinda funny. It was not "kinda" funny; it was real funny. Mike and Sully were the funniest.

Summary: An Animation with Style.
Review: "Boo...Did I scare you?" Doesn't really look like you could make much out of this movie except some incredible special effects, hu? That's what I thought until I saw it. The plot in this movie is so much deeper than I had ever imagined. It is not just another mindless cartoon this is deep. I know people of ages from over sixty or down to eight or even in their twenties or teens who love this movie! Actually I don't think I know a single person who doesn't love this movie! Don't let your mind trick you into thinking this is going to be just a bunch of animation and sounds. This is a movie! The characters in this feel so deep that they begin to feel human, and I even got close to getting choked up in one of the scenes. The movie is phenomenal. And about the animation this movie definitely has the most stunning and I can also say thrilling special effects I have ever seen! If you ask me this thing has easily earned all five stars!

Summary: not just for the kids..
Review: As is the case with most of Disney, This movie is just as entertaining for the adults as the children. John Goodman and Billy Crystal do a wonderful job pulling off Mike and Kitty. Bo could of had a few more lines however the laughs and scares never end in this wonderful movie. Strongly advise anyone and everyone to go see it.

Summary: Can't wait to own!
Review: My husband and I took our 3 year old daughter to see this. It was a huge hit in her book. She loved it. Finally a movie about monsters! What kid doesn't love monsters? Our daughter has been into "monsters" for quite some time and Disney brought it to us. As a parent it was a hilariously funny movie. I love Billy Crystal. Not only a fun movie for the whole family but finally I can find a "monster" birthday party theme! Our daughter would see it again and again if she could! She will once it comes to DVD!

Summary: No more fear of monsters
Review: A great movie to help us parents get our children over the fear of monsters. It is a brilliant idea to turn the fear around and make the monsters afraid of children.

This was a wonderful, funny, and very touching movie. As much fun for me as it was for my daughter. Thumbs Disney and Pixar, another success!

Summary: Brilliantly funny!
Review: Monsters Inc....wow. I must admit that I wasn't expecting the world when I walked into the theatre, but what I got was pretty darn close. From "Boo"'s little exclamations of "Mike Wazowski!" to Celia and Mike's romantic subplot, to the adorable Abominable Snowman and his snow cones, I was in stitches for half the movie. The other half of the time was spent either in awe of the animation (read: Sulley's hair moving in the Himalayan wind), worry for the characters (read: minor character and socks (need I say more? (...)), adoration for Boo, disgust at the antics of Waternoose and Randall (trying to suck out screams of poor innocent Boo?!), or laughing (even more) at the dialogue with Roz ("I'm *watching* you, Wazowski!).

I had a great time at the theatre. The beginning is interesting, engaging, and informative, the ending is sweet and leaves you with a warm and fuzzy feeling, and everything in between is nothing but sheer quality. Really a must-see.

Summary: Best Kids Movie ever
Review: I loved this movie from start to finish. This is the best kids movie ever made. I was glued to the screen more than my 4 year old son. The character Boo is my favorite, she is so cute. I liked her so much that i want her as a toy for christmas - I am 34 years old. Everybody should go see this movie. I can't wait until it's coming out on DVD.

Summary: Wonderful, Wonderful....I'll say it again, Wonderful!!
Review: Monsters Inc. was great! I'll get right to the punch. It was the best animated movie I've seen in a long time. John Goodman and Billy Crystal's voices are perfect as Mike and Sulley. The plot of the movie is solid. After watching it the first time, I tried to talk my girlfriend into staying and watching it a second time (Of course she was hungry and said no). I found that I could relate with Mike and Sulley. Although they are monsters, they have real human qualities that bring them more to life. And Boo is wonderfully portrayed. Her little voice screaming "Mike Wagowski" and "Kitty" rang through my ears hours after the movie was over. I'm 25 years old and I loved this movie, I can't imagine how much a child would love this. Go see it and you'll see.
