Summary: Yes, I'm a natural blue...
Review: While there were elements that might seem scary to a young child, overall this movie was very enjoyable and good for all ages. You may have to explain about death to smaller kids, though.

Summary: Fantastic Animation
Review: When the theatrical trailer was released, I was not impressed. Luckliy my 6 year old talked me into going. I was not dissappointed.
This film is simply captivating with the artwork and visual effects. But the film's most notable attribute is the diverse selection of characters. Ellen deserves an Oscar for her audio work as Dory, the fish with short-term memory.
Whether you're a fan of animated films or not, I found this film to be solid overall and I highly reccommend it for all ages.

Summary: not just another kid flick
Review: When i was first going to see finding nemo, i was like, well this will just be another kid movie, it wont be that great, i doubt i'll ever watch it again. but i saw it, and i liked it, i laughed a few times, and it was just a good storyline. The plot is not very big in the movie, marlin, a clown fish, nemo's dad, loses his son, when he goes to touch a boat, just to prove he can do what he wants to. Marlin gets freaked out, and eventually runs into a fish with short term memory, dorry, and they go an adveture to find his son. The main comedy usually comes from dory because of her short term memory. Back to the plot, even though it is a ver small, and weak plot there are many sub-plots along the way. They meet sharks who nearly kill them, a fish that also nearly kills them, seagulls, little fish who make fun of marlin through charades, and who could forget the turtles. The turtles are like hippies, who say, totally and dude, which also makes more comedy for the movie. But what is happening to nemo this whole time? Well once he gets picked up by the scuba guy, we find him in a fish-tank in a dentist's office, with a lot of fish he doesnt know, but soon becomes friends with. Nemo meets all of the fish, and becomes friends with them, but most of them are older, but nemo still makes good friends. Nemo finds out that in 3 days or so a freaky looking girl, who the fish call a "fish killer", is going to come to get nemo, so nemo has to take action. The fish tell them this fantastic plan, that ends up not even working. So by the end, because of confusion, marlin and dory think nemo is dead, but he isn't, and nemo finally escapes, and returns to his father. But right then fishermen pull a net down to the water, and catch try to catch all of the fish, but from what nemo's friends teach him, he gets them all to swim down, and they are all free. By the very end, dory begins to live with marlin and nemo, and marlin is now much more looser, and isnt scared of what might happen. The sharks keep their "fish are friends not food" meetings, and dory continues to go. Also by the end marlin, being a clown fish who never was funny, turns out to be a funny fish, who actually can tell jokes. so in the end, you, your siblings, or daughter or son, love the movie, and so do you. This is not just abother kid flick, i reccomend this for everyone. So in the end, you get a funny, heart warming, story that you and younger kids love.

Summary: Pixar's best, hands down
Review: This movie is brilliant - a wonder ride for children of all ages, from 4 to 84! The voices of the colorful characters are very well cast (Ellen Degeneres as Dory, and Willem Defoe as Scar are so convincing you almost want to believe that they *are* talking fish), and the adventures are breathtaking, exhilerating, and frightening all at the same time. Plus, the movie has so many hysterical moments -- pelicans crashing into windows, the famous "bird bubbles" scene (which is definitely in one of the trailers), and of course the evil seagulls croaking "mine". No one could resisted being amused, amazed, and satisfied with this movie. You'll want to ride the East Australian Current again and again!

Summary: Stunning Underwater Animation. Another Winner from Pixar.
Review: "Finding Nemo" is a film from Disney's master of computer animation, Pixar Animation Studio. Like all Pixar films, it was born of pixels, not animation cells, and so has a visual style distinct from conventional animation. The images have much more texture and subtle activity than films made from individually drawn cells. "Finding Nemo" takes us into the ocean, to an imaginary world of marine life in Australia's reef. We meet Marlin (voice of Albert Brooks), a neurotic overprotective clownfish whose only child, Nemo (voice of Alexander Gould) has been abducted by human divers and taken away on a boat. Impelled by his great love for his son and aided by a hyperactive blue tang fish with a terrible memory named Dory (voice of Ellen DeGeneres), Marlin sets out to find Nemo and bring him home. Marlin and Dory encounter perilous creatures and make many new friends in their tireless journey to Sydney harbor. Meanwhile, Nemo is residing in a dentist's aquarium where he and his fellows captives are plotting an escape of their own.

"Finding Nemo"'s animation is beautiful. Writer/director Andrew Stanton and the folks at Pixar made it hard on themselves by setting this film underwater. The ocean and the reef are is constantly in motion, so every bit of the image must be moving. This makes for some gorgeous scenery and gives the eye a lot to take in. The movement of the water provides some of the film's most striking animation. And, as we've come to expect from Pixar, there is a lot of clever but good-natured humor that's fun for kids and adults. At times, I was struck by the tremendous creative talent exhibited on the screen. The only thing I didn't enjoy about this film is the constant chatter. The sea critters talk all the time. Literally. At times I felt that the film should have slowed down and shut up long enough for us to take in its stunning artwork. Marlin and Dory really could give you a headache. The humor in "Finding Nemo" isn't as sophisticated as that of "Monsters, Inc.". The writing is more Disney-influenced. But "Finding Nemo" is entertaining and its strength is its beauty. Kids and adults will both enjoy this gorgeous film.

Summary: Disney did WHAT now?
Review: i loved Finding Nemo - Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich are amazing! Let's get one thing straight: Disney did nothing but finacially back this movie - the incredible animation and story lines are by the good folks of PIXAR! I loved that the extras of this DVD included the short film, "Knick Knack" because that's a great movie! This movie definietly earns the title of "Best Movie of the Year."

Summary: Finding Nemo
Review: I'll keep my review short and in agreement with the large amount of positive reviews already expressed.
I would just add: Besides being one of the year's most entertaining movies for youngsters, Finding Nemo astounds grown ups with "how'd they do that" art for the total length of the movie. This movie has a sophisticated plot. Lot's of laughs yet poignant. The animation is so good you forget you're watching animation and not living creatures! I also appreciated that both the widescreen and fullscreen versions are included in the one package. The behind the scenes extras show how enthusiastic and professional the creative staff are.
This is another DVD that makes your player, TV, etc look their best! And, if not obvious from my review, one that I think should be in everyone's DVD collection!

Summary: What a great, great film. Regardless of age.
Review: I enjoyed every minute of this film when it was in theatres. Hilarious and entertaining throughout, Pixar has yet to dissapoint. Finding Nemo is one fabulous comedy. A family film without being sappy or filled with eye-rolling cheesy songs...it quite simply is one of the best films (animated or not) to be released in the past couple of years. The DVD is underpriced given that it is PACKED with extras that everyone can enjoy. Recommended if you have kids, recommended if you do not. This is just great movie making. The characters are full of life, and the animation is stellar. Anyone who collects DVD's (for themselves, or the little ones) should have this one on their shelf.
