Review: After watching the Queens I asked those with me what was funnier ....The Kings or the Queens ....the response......They are both good but in different ways, the content, ambience, the audience present - VERY DIFFERENT. I thought it was very funny Adele was the funniest, the host was mediocre and Sommore and Monique were very entertaining...Yes the sexual content was a dominant feature but it was not crude and distasteful (well maybe once) but it was the audience that made the at home viewer doubt the quality of the comedy (as we South Londoners say " They were so DRY!!!!!!) I don't know if they came straight from church but it seemed they all felt guilty for laughing. And they were old ... and everyone knows you shouldn't cuss in fornt of grown folk so that kinda kills the vibe. As a 22 year old I thought it was funny ..., don't expect a great Bernie Mac performance but do expect a good time!! Go on you can trust me

Review: yeah they are queens but not legends. i loved it anyway. they are really in your face, personal and truthful. All the women were great but i believe that sommore was the best. the hulla hoop, ssshhh, ssshhhh thing will have me laughing for weeks.

Review: "The Queens of Comedy" is the female companion piece to the vastly superior "The Original Kings of Comedy." If nothing else, it shows that the women can be just as raunchy and profane as the fellas. But this DVD lacks much of the sharp-edged wit that made Kings of Comedy such fun. Instead, we have these four ladies (a term I use rather liberally in this review) get onstage and get filthy for the sake of being filthy. Now, I like a little raunch as much as the next guy, but there's very little grace or spark in any of their performances. The concert reaches its nadir when Mo'Nique performs towards the end. I was absolutely stunned to see what a foul brain this rotund beast has. Somebody get this sister a brillo pad and Ajax to wash that filthy mouth! A (former) friend of mine insisted that I watch this DVD, as he swore left and right that it was way better than "Kings." Oh, was he so very wrong. Unless you want to watch a disaster unfold before your eyes, this concert is an affair to avoid.

Review: Not that they aren't funny, they just pale in comparision to the Kings. The humor in this is harsher than the men, and that is most likely the biggest failing. The men work on you with humor, the women work to shock you. They fail most of the time. You will laugh, but it is not the same as the Kings.

Review: Let me just say from the onset, I am neither a prude nor uptight about sex talk. I wish I would have been when I watched this concert. Maybe I wouldn't have bothered to watch it.When I saw this video coupled with Kings of Comedy as a combo, I was hyped. I went to see the Kings @ the MCI Center in DC and it was all of that. Very entertaning and a whole lot of fun. I loved the King's movie as well. Even having seen a lot of the material at the concert, the movie was great. So when I saw the Queens of Comedy, I am thinking, "Wow, I am going to laugh my heart out." NOOOOOT. The is a crude, boorish movie. The ladies try and make sex talk funny and do not succeed at all. They come off as comedienne has-beens looking for a cheap laugh. What I found sad was that I have seen all of the ladies work (excl. Ms. Laura) and have been very pleased but this is ridiculous. If there had to be a glimmer (and a small one at that), I would have to give it to Adele and that isn't giving her much. So'more was tired. As a matter of fact, her schtick was so tired, I fell asleep and woke up again for Mo'Nique. I should have continued to sleep. What is an even sadder commentary is that the Kings didn't even resort to the crude humour these broads did. Oh they did their share of cursing and making references to sex but not to the level of tastelessness that these women did. What can I tell you, if you like to hear women talk about their sexcapades @ length and in detail (don't look for humour--there is none), this is your movie. If you want some good, thought out comedy, stick with the Kings. They live up to their name!

Review: I laugh so hard everytime I watch this that it's bordering on obsessive! I have seen it countless times- I have the whole thing memorized!! And a word to those with a problem with the "adult" nature of the language- You should have paid a bit more attention to Adele Givens when she tackled that very subject!

Review: with all the talented women in this video i thought for sure that this would have been an outstanding video...not. it was ok but not great. The routines were extremely vulgar. I am not a prude by any means, but the vulgarity overshadowed the jokes and left this viewer to wonder what were they thinking? All in all this isn't bad if you are renting it, but it isn't good enough to purchase. If you MUST purchase a video the kings of comedy is better by far

Review: This movie... I'm not a prude or anything, but I've never heard such vulgar language to no effect in my life. The only one who was slightly funny was Monique. Don't waste your money.

Review: I have seen this movie over and over again and each time it get better. All of the ladies came in and did what that had to do. The language didn't bother me at all because I saw to the "Kings of Comedy" and they had bad language and nobody conplained about that so give the ladies a break. They just kept it real. This is a must movie. If you need a laugh watch this movie.
