Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One to memorize
Review: A top ten of all time. Brilliantly written, plenty of action, humor, and great chemistry between DeNiro and Grodin. About thirty lines in this movie are worth memorizing.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Simply Beautiful
Review: Just becuase its an Action Comedy it can't be called a classic by most reviewers, but its definetly one to me. What can I say , I simply love this film. How many films can you watch that lose absolutly nothing with each viewing. I mean as soon as De Niro (my favouite actor) gets the hood and the credits say "City Lights films present" with brillian rock score , whoof I'm in heaven. It is a film so good that you lose youe elequence raving about it. Don't just see this flick , own and love it'll be a start of a beautiful friendship.I mean Patton is good flick considered a "classic" by most , I own it I've only seen it once and probably will never see it again. Midnight Run (like the wonderful Plains, Trains and Automobiles ) is good to the thousandth viewing.

Summary: This is what "Movie Magic" is all about
Review: For those of you who haven't seen it - you are in for a treat. For those of you who have, you will be delighted that it is finally available on widescreen DVD. This is the greatest buddy movie of all time. Entertaining, hilarious, and moving. The only crime is that DeNiro and Grodin have not been paired together again as of yet. In one film, they prove to be as funny together and have as perfect chemistry as Hope and Crosby, Lemmon and Matthau, and Martin and Lewis. Well scripted by George Gallo and masterfully directed by Martin Brest. Long live "Midnight Run."

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST COMEDIES IN YEARS
Review: This is a great buddy movie but more than that, it's a touching story and FUNNY AS HELL. . .there haven't been many good comedy teams to equal DENIRO & GRODIN in the 80's and as one reviewer notes, where's the sequel? But, really, could they really top this? I don't think so. Just enjoy this one because IT'S THE BEST in all respects: script, supporting characters (almost TOO RICH), action, music, suspense, etc. This will always be one of my favorite movies regardless of category. DON'T DO A SEQUEL (IT'LL BE A LETDOWN, TRUST ME)!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Don't Laugh; This Is DeNiro's Best Perfomance!
Review: We all know about Godfather II, Taxi Driver, and Raging Bull. Well here is a film that is not only a four star gem, but just happens to contain Robert DeNiro's best performance. As Jack Walsh, the worn bounty hunter assigned to bring back missing mob accountant Charles Grodin, DeNiro combines humor with true human qualities to give a multi-layered performance that almost everyone watching can in some way relate.

Charles Grodin is appealing as well as the clean-cut "Robin Hood" and makes you say, "why did he ever take that TV show?"

Martin Brest is at his directing best, and is able to create a film with memorable characters played by wonderful character actors such as Dennis Farina, Joe Pantilione, Tom Keough, and John Ashton.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A quirky character study
Review: If I have to rate this movie, I'd give it ****1/2 stars. It's close to a ***** movie, but I'm not generous with that rating. It's enjoyable, funny, and totally watchable. Plus it has Joe Pantoliano (who's the man - loved his character in THE FUGITIVE). Besides that, there's the obvious casting of Robert De Niro (never a mistake).

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An understated classic.
Review: MIDNIGHT RUN is what "good" movies used to be all about. Start with a smart, clever screenplay by George Gallo, add in breezy direction by Martin Brest and then add two delicious performances by DeNiro and Grodin. This is clearly one of the best films of the last twenty years, and it plays very well on DVD. Danny Elfman's score sounds crisp andthe scene selections are perfect. FUNNY, HEARTFELT and WELL-PACED. Some of the most memorable lines in modern cinema come from Dennis Farina's mobster, "Jimmy Cerrano." Truly hilarious.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great entertainment, never misses a trick
Review: Funny, fast-paced and sometimes very touching, this movie gets everything right in terms of tone, humor, plot twists and surprise ending. The jokes come thick and fast and, though there's an awful lot of swearing, the effect is mostly humorous. Little devices like "Moron Number One and Moron Number Two", and the double-crossing assistant to the bailbondsman who is always pretending to "go get some donuts", are perfectly done. I'm told this is more of a boys' than a girls' movie - I wonder.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best comedy ever
Review: After about 50 viewings and a 'hit' of Midnight Run every 2/3 months, the scene at the end when Alonso smiles at Sorrano in the airport is still the greatest ever. The best action comedy ever made - but please, people, help me - after 10 years of trying - can I find anybody who stocks the soundtrack ??? Please email me if you can. Go see Midnight Run and buy the video - the best anti-depressant ever.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I have seen Midnight Run too many times.
Review: Jack Walsh(De niro) is a bounty hunter who sets out to find John Mardukas(Grodin), an accountant who imbezzled millions from a big time Mob boss(Farina) giving some of it to charity and keeping the rest. There are so many hilarious moments in this movie. De niro and Grodin are halarious together. Other funny characters are Eddie Moscone, Agent Alonzo Mosley, Marvin Dorphler, and Moron #1 and Moron #2. Gut-busting funny and action packed from beginning to end. The funniest role De niro ever played. See it, See it, See it. Note: A wide variety of profanity is scattered through out this one and it is damn funny because of it.
