Summary: Hardly an ordinary movie...
Review: It really is a shame that some critics have panned this movie. However, this movie may not be for everyone as it will be everything you don't expect and just throws people for a loop. I've heard people call it the weirdest movie they'd ever seen, and it is that. (From the director of Trainspotting, what can you expect?) But if you just watch it with an open mind, you are sure to love this movie. If you're a fan of Ewan McGregor or Moulin Rouge you'll really love it, as he gets several singing cameos (that were added just for him). I'm not a huge Cameron Diaz fan, but she's perfect in this role. So please see this movie and decide for yourself. It's worth it.

Summary: So much more than the ordinary love story
Review: I loved this movie! It is a great movie that is silly, absurd, spectacular, and twacked all at once. The music is perfectly chosen to fit the plot and is used to pull you even further into the world of the characters. Ewan McGregor is great as a bumbling kidnapper with a romantic heart and big dreams. Cameron Diaz is a great spoiled brat who tries to be a lot tougher than she really is. See this movie! Holly Hunter is great if not a little frightening in her worldly angel role which is well matched by her partner in crime, Delroy Lindo. Watch it and have fun with it.

Review: Life less ordinary was very funny. The script was wonderful. It was playful, and at some points, suspenseful. I liked it very much, it should be watched. Ewan McGregor was absolutely fantastic. He is very adorable:)

Review: This movie is one ride you don't what to miss. In the movie two people don't know each other but that's going to change everything. The cast did great job on the moive. (Ewan McGregor) and (Cameron Diaz) play a great and cute moive I wish more moives where like this one don't you? Robert get's fire from is job and get's replace so he walk's in the office and he's daugher is in the office with her father and he walk's in and he's like I what my job back and the police run's in and start to fight with him they are like all over him and he got the gun form one of the police men and he pointen at his boss and said I what my job back no he did't get his job back. He said I am going to count to five and if I don't get my job back I am going to kill you! Well, he is counting and he stop's at four and the daugher said five!He shoot is boss in the leg and he took he's daugher and the father of the daugher he go's out and pay's some people to kill robert so he has alot to do. But those people are not going to kill they are going to make him fall in love with the rich girl. Well, go and watch for yourself. I saw it and I like it you well, too. I know will like it. Review: To be honest the only reason I got this movie was because I'm a Ewan mcgregor fan. After watching it I am very glad I chose it. Although this is a very weird movie, It is a dark, but funny romance about the worst kidnapping ever. Great movie.

Review: This is an experience more than merely a movie: be prepared for anything! I loved this film. It's one of the most offbeat romances I have ever seen, not to mention earning bonus points for its own unique brand of comedy. Ewan McGregor is perfect as Robert, and Cameron Diaz blends the perfect doses of world-weary cynicism and naivete into her role. You really root for these two, and it's that emotional connection that keeps you enthralled until the ending credits role. A movie "less ordinary", indeed!

Summary: Off-beat Romance mixed with a sense of serious ethos
Review: What a delightful surprise! Thank you Bravo! A great cast, but, as the man says, "that's not all!" An excellent commentary on the ethos of love and relationships in a delightfully humorous and exentialist manner! Not necessarilly a "girl thing," but men, well, for that matter, even women, might need to have a bit of an adventursome intellectual/"artistic" bent to truly enjoy. Too, it waxes a bit "spiritual," in a very off- and up-beat manner, which may be somewhat off-putting to some, but hey, "try it, you might like it"!

Review: This is a wonderful movie highlighting the early acting skills of Ewen MacGregor, as well as venerable ones such as Iam Holm and Holly Hunter. It's a fun movie to watch with tongue in cheek humor and an interesting story. I have the DVD copy, and enjoy watching again from time to time. In short, it's a movie that gave me a pleasant suprise, and one I just happen to "discover" at the video store.

Review: I first read a review of this film, when it was coming out in theaters, and I was intrigued at the concept. It wasn't until a couple of years later I that I rented the VHS and was greatly entertained. Not only is it a refreshing new idea of kidnapper/victim in a comedic slant; but playing the lead role was the up and coming Ewen MacGregor, who's talent at the time, was just being discovered. With venerable actors as Ian Holm and Holy Hunter, it was a treat to watch. It has the "independent" feel to a film, and delivers a refreshing new story with wonderful results. ... a great late night movie with that special friend. Enjoy!
