Rating: Summary: I have seen Midnight Run too many times. Review: Jack Walsh(De niro) is a bounty hunter who sets out to find John Mardukas(Grodin), an accountant who imbezzled millions from a big time Mob boss(Farina) giving some of it to charity and keeping the rest. There are so many hilarious moments in this movie. De niro and Grodin are halarious together. Other funny characters are Eddie Moscone, Agent Alonzo Mosley, Marvin Dorphler, and Moron #1 and Moron #2. Gut-busting funny and action packed from beginning to end. The funniest role De niro ever played. See it, See it, See it. Note: A wide variety of profanity is scattered through out this one and it is damn funny because of it.
Rating: Summary: great movie; terrible DVD audio transfer Review: I'm very disappointed in the audio quality of this DVD; there's terrible distortion in most of the loud passages (e.g. every Joe Pantoliano scene), even when played at low volume, verified on a second dolby digital A/V system.
Rating: Summary: One word;CLASSIC! Review: When people ask me what my all time favourite film is,there are two clear favourites. One is "Goodfellas"...and the second? well it has to be "Midnight Run".One of the funniest most heart warming films you will ever encounter,I urge you,buy it,you will not be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: This movie cracks my top5 all time favorite movie list! Review: I have seen this movie from beginning to end about 30 times. I have to see it atleast every 2 or 3 months. This is easily my favorite performance of Deniro! He is awesome as is Charles Grodin. A "Can't Miss" but be sure to watch the movie version and not the edited version for television. You'll love it and watch it for the rest of your life!
Rating: Summary: One of DeNiro's greatest (unknown) films. Review: Of all the movies Robert deNiro is famous for, i.e. Raging Bull, the Untouchables, Goodfellas, this movie that is not so well-known deserves more attention. DeNiro is genuinely funny, and this movie, surprisingly, is the only good movie I've seen of acting partner Charles Grodin, who works remarkably well with DeNiro. One of my favorite movies of all time--definitely a winner.
Rating: Summary: rare chemistry Review: Honest to God, I personally have seen this masterpiece more than 55 times! (and you can bet your boots I'm gonna see it still more!) This movie has magical property in its very essence, and I mostly liked its character development on the road..This is probably the only film that De Niro and Grodin starred in together and, boy! chemistry snapped right from the begining to the sensational end.. My Rating : ********** 10 stars
Rating: Summary: THE BEST DENIRO MOVIE EVER Review: This movie was one of the best movies I have ever seen, and also quite the funniest. I think Robert Deniro showed his true acting talent in this movie. If iwas to rate a cop/gangster movie best, it would be this one, even over the Godfather. Get it!
Rating: Summary: Definite "Guy" movie delivers the goods. Review: This is one of those movies that you will want to watch a number of times, making it an excellent addition to your home library. This film has too many memorable lines to mention, and moves through them at a fun pace. De Niro and Grodin play off of each other beautifully, and Dennis Farina is priceless as the mob boss. You'll quote this one as often as "Fletch" or "Spinal Tap". A real winner.
Rating: Summary: simply hillarious Review: This was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Robert & Charles were an awesome team. It had action and above all a ton of comedy!!!
Rating: Summary: Where's the SEQUEL?? Review: Hello? Hollywood has made some of the most inane decisions involving what projects to green light. Why has there been 4 Lethal Weapons and no sequel to Midnight Run? 8 Friday the 13th Movies? 10 Star Treks? Just watch this movie...it's funny. There is a real sense of character development that is a rare asset in modern film. Plus, plenty of explosions and people getting knocked out. :^) Charles Groden and Robert DeNiro could do worse than make a fun, lively sequel. When you see the end you will get an idea of the many possible futures, you'll be that interested in the character's lives. See it!
