Rating: Summary: It doesn't get much worse than this Review:
Yeeeeech!
I am at a loss for words after viewing this piece of refuse. Non existant story line, pointless scenes, a "Hollywood esque" plot twist at the end that was just absurd, I mean were the directors trying to make the worse film ever?????
Seriously folks, this one is strictly for bottom feeders. What kills me is that there were actually some decent actors and actresses in this lemon, Steve Zahn in particular. This film can boast some "A" List actors, who seem to have made a very bad choice. Do yourself a favor, rent "Collateral", or "Garden State", and skip this dud on your next visit to BlockBuster.
By the way, did I mention how bad this film is?
Tallyho!
Rating: Summary: An Unadulterated Mess! Review: A one star rating is far too good for this dog of a picture!
The premise of the plot was okay, but the execution of it, with numerous flashbacks, flash forwards, imagination/dream sequences make it impossible to follow this thread of a story. The Screen Actors Guild should put every performer listed in the cast on probation until they redeem themselves with a more competent role in a watchable film.
The less said about this turkey, the better!
Rating: Summary: Employee of the Month a funny twist with Applegate Review: I must say that I didn't have high expectations for this movie, but I really thought that is was funny and worth watching in the end. The cast worked very well together. I thought that Christina Applegate was just great and the rest of the cast was wonderful! Although I really enjoyed the movie, I think it is better to go into it without knowing the plot. It makes for better watching!! Funny, entertaining movie!!!
Rating: Summary: Pointless profanity and sexuality Review: If you like pointless profanity and sexuality, and a great cast in a weak story, I guess this is your film.
Rating: Summary: STEVE ZAHN (EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR) Review: IF YOU SEE ONE COMEDY,ACTION,THRILLER,DRAMADIC MOVIE THIS YEAR LOOK NO FURTHER THIS IS TOP SHELF STEVE ZAHN IS AT HIS RAUNCHIOUS HES GREAT THIS IS A MUST FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SEE A GOOD MOVIE CHECK IT OUT
Rating: Summary: ZAHN IS GREAT Review: Steve Zahn is totally hillarious in this film. He might be the only thing good about it. His career choice will floor you.
Rating: Summary: What a joke Review: This movie is a complete joke. It feeds you this half-baked story then at the end it throws in a bunch of plot twists that make half the movie nonsensical.
I felt insulted by the writers and actors if they think this kind of crap will float with people.
Maybe the worst movie I've ever endured.
Rating: Summary: Employee of the Month = Awesome Movie Review: This movie was surprisingly good. We originally intended to rent Wicker Park, but grabbed this one instead. I didn't expect it to be anything great since I hadn't heard anything about it before, but it was AWESOME. It was funny, suspenseful, and had a really GREAT ending. WATCH IT!!!!
Rating: Summary: Maybe not for eveyone, but I loved it! Review: Those who hated this movie must be the people that love the predictable, formula, cookie-cutter, cliche and usually boring remakes and sequels and clones of other movies. This highly original screenplay covers new ground in a refreshing, off-beat way, and the actors are up to the challenge.
Yes, the behaviour of the characters will seem inappropriate from the bginning. And the people who aleays walk out of the theater BEFORE the credits start rolling will not understand anything they just witnessed, because the characters motivations and secrets are not revealed until during the final credits. The movie "Wild Things" which also starred Matt Dillon, resolved all of the surprising plot twists in this manner, during the end credits. This is a far more valuable use of space than the usual "blooper" reel of ham actors laughing hysterically at eachother for forgetting their lines. This is a very DARK comedy, along the lines of Office Space, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Natural Born Killers, and Wild Things. If you liked those, you will love this.
Rating: Summary: Why? Review: [...]
The acting--can I call it that?--is reminiscent of my eighth grade Christmas pageant. Did you see it? It was pretty bad. The story, such as it is, is so completely derivative that it's not an "homage," but outright plagiarism. If I wrote my thesis like this guy directed his movie, I never would have gotten my degree. Who knows, maybe there would have been a federal case. Hey, here's food for thought, why can he make a movie like this, but I can't burn a CD for a friend?
This movie made me literally furious. Not the righteous indignation inspired by a good documentary, but primal rage, hate, and bloodlust. In light of this movie, I feel that I have to go back and reassess all those movies I once deemed bad. The irony of this movie is that its only achievement is to redefine the criteria for an awful movie.
