Summary: Don't listen to the reviews.
Review: Alot of people were sort of let down with this film. I almost didn't watch this film due to some bad reviews I had read. If there's one thing I've learned over the years it's that most film reviewers don't know what they're talking about. If movie reviewers know so much why don't they make their own films? Be your own judge when it comes to movies. I've seen alot of great films get thrown in the crapper because of bad reviews.

Not watching this film would have been a big mistake on my part. Ali G Indahouse was full of laughs from the opening scene. Sure it's not the most intelligent film but it sure as hell ranks up there with the best comedy flicks of the past 10 years. I don't think I've seen a film that made me laugh this hard in a long time. I'm sure the people who hated this film loved the lame American Pie trilogy or the completley unfunny and unorigional Old School.

Even the deleted scenes in this film are hilarious. There's one deleted scene that made me cry laughing. It was a parody of west side story involving a booger fight.

Take it from me (a comedy writer), Ali G Indahouse is a funny movie worth watching. If you don't get at least one or two good laughs out of this film e-mail me and tell me what a moron I am.

Summary: An outsider's review of Ali G
Review: Having seen the "Ali G" movie before seeing the show seems to have given me a different perspective than most. Instead of comparing the movie to the show, a different comparison took place: a similar type movie came out in the States, called "Malibu's Most Wanted" starring Jamie Kennedy, and next to this movie Ali G shines. So go out and see this movie, expect some 'campiness', and you'll like it.

Summary: I love the show
Review: Huge fan of the show, so I thought I'd rent his movie. I was severly disappointed. Some reviews here state that if you enjoy Ali G on tv, you must enjoy the movie. Not true at all. The intelligent and witty humor in the show is a complete opposite of the crass and base "humor" of the movie. I had to stop watching it after twenty minutes, and the only reason I put the movie back in was to see Borat's cameo. So I sat through the movie, and Borat said two words. I finished the movie, hoping for some glimmer of worth. No dice.

Summary: Completely Lacks Genius of TV Show
Review: I am obsessed with Da Ali G Show; not only is it insanely hilarious, but it is often a potent social commentary, uncovering people's prejudices and idiocies. However, this film made me very disappointed in Sascha Baron Cohen; rather than bestowing his audience with his genius, he regurgitated the potty humor that can be readily seen one of the "illustrious" American Pie films (which, I have never seen, but I could imagine). I guess this could be worth buying if you want to see a cameo from Borat, or spy a photo of Cohen as a boy while Ali G is about to hump Rhona Mitra from the Practice. In my opinion, you should save your money and have repeated viewings of the Season One dvd. Jagshemesh!

Summary: Booyakasha!!!
Review: I'm shocked that so many people think this movie sucks. Sure it lacks a good plot, but what were people expecting? Some kind complicated and intelligent plot? Anybody who didn't laugh during the debate scene is a bell end.
Pretty much if Malibu's Most Wanted was actually funny and British, it would be Ali G Indahouse. At least rent it and make your own decision.

Summary: Not Half the Sparkle of the Series
Review: I've been a huge fan of Da Ali G Show, and knew a feature film couldn't come close to the outrageous originality of da show. Still, "Ali G Indahouse" isn't half bad and if you're a fan at all, it's certainly worth a viewing, just to see some familiar names fleshed out. There are some genuinely funny moments - but it's obvious that the (at least seemingly) spontaneous quality of the series can't really be replicated for "da film."

Sasha Baron Cohen is brilliant with this (and his other characters), but I hope in the future if Ali wants to get in "da movies" he sits back, watches a few episodes of the show and decides to keep doing what he does best.

Summary: Kept Me Watching
Review: I've never seen the show once, i've just seen clips and commercials and have never been intrested in Ali G but after see'n this movie, I'm looking to buy this and the first season Dvd set. I have friends that are like me and would find this movie funny. I guess he was hitting a younger generation with this one, because i got a couple of chuckles along with outrageous laughs. If your 18-23 I recommend this movie because it connects with us 80's Babies.

Summary: Bush is a Bell-end
Review: It's true, Indahouse is not as funny as Ali G's show but that doesn't mean that it's not funny. If you like the Character Ali G then there's no reason that you wouldn't like Indahouse. The humor is all the same except this time there's no dimwitted politicians, etc. who are being made to look like bell-ends. How could you not want to see 90 minutes of Ali G???

Only problem I have with this dis ere flick is that there's no Bruno. I think it would've been hilarious if Ali G had a run-in with Bruno. It could have been the best scene in the whole movie and I would've given it 5 stars. But anyway the movie is really funny.

So don't be a bell-end. Buy Ali G's Indahouse!

Summary: So Silly ... Popular British TV Comic's Screen Dedut
Review: Sacha Baron Cohen's popular "Ali G" is transferred to the big screen, and the result is not as bad as I expected. Ali G originally appeared as a comic character in Channel 4's program "The 11 O'Clock Show" in 1999, who interviews several celebrities with very (knowingly, but apparently innocently) awkward and embarrassing questions.

But the film shows him as an anti-hero on his own, who lives in British suburbia Staines. Ali G is leading his 'gangstas' (in a mock LA hip-hop fashion), and occasionally teaches the little kids how to swear in the local center. To his chagrin, the center is going to be closed down, but at the same time Ali G is 'found out' (in the silliest way) by Charles Dance's Duputy Prime Minister, and is chosen as candidate for the next by-election. He is of course supposed to lose, but somehow people come to like this awfully outspoken guy after one hilarious debate on TV, and Ali G finds himself in the Cabinet, handling the important national politics like immigration in his very unique way.

The premise is as silly as "Zoolander," but unlike Ben Stiller Ali G often does sexist gags which are probably meant to be ironic, but in fact fail to be so. And he gives now clithed jokes about gays ... yes, funny I admit, but not all viewers would feel the same way. Still, his very native way of delivering these crude jokes has, I thought, some childish but charming qualities especially when he is with his sidekicks, spitting out very silly lyrics of rap music -- like repeating "Ali G, It's me" again and again.

The film is no satire, just a series of stupid jokes about booze, grass, chicks, and so on. Frankly I do not know why Michael Gambon (as Prime Minister) should be here -- and Charles Dance for the matter -- but though the film is nothing particularly great, the fans of Sacha Baron Cohen would not be disappointed.
