Rating: Summary: Nothing Freaky About It - This Movie Is Wonderful Review: Mother and daughter Tess and Anna Coleman just don't get along. Tess embarrasses teenage Anna to no end and is so busy planning a wedding she doesn't realize her daughter is growing up. Anna resents the new man in the family and wants to be treated as a grown-up, even if she's not responsible enough yet. Then one Friday, they wake up to discover they've been transported into each other's bodies. Now Tess has to go to school and see what Anna's world is really like. And Anna must act like a grown-up whether she wants to or not. But can they figure out how to switch back before Tess walks down the aisle? I actually have never seen the original or read the book, but as soon as I heard about this movie, I had to see it because of Lindsay Lohan. I became an instant fan with her work in "The Parent Trap" remake, and this movie impressed me even more. She made playing a grown-up trapped in a teen's body completely believable. Jamie Lee Curtis is equally wonderful as a grown-up who really isn't. The supporting cast is wonderful as they try to coup with the weirdness going on around them that they can't possibly understand. I laughed the entire way through the movie and choked up with tears at the end. (I cry at the drop of a hat, what can I say?) The DVD is well worth buying. Not only do you get the fun movie, but you get a few cool extras. They have a deleted scene with director commentary (and he was right to delete it), and two alternative endings. The bloopers reel was fun, as were the two music video's from the soundtrack. There is a seven minute back stage featurette this is also worth checking out. I would have loved to see an audio commentary or two, especially one including Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, but it's not to be found. The movie itself is presented in both widescreen and full frame formats, with a wonderful picture. The full surround sound is great as well. Truly fun movies the entire family can enjoy together are a rare treat. Jump on this one while you can. Everyone will have an evening of pleasant entertainment.
Rating: Summary: Disney=Greedy Grubbing Grabbers Review: This review is NOT for the movie, but for the preposterous, boneheaded idea of EZ-D. It is up to us, the consumer, to make sure this illogical scam fails miserably! Why would you pay nearly seven dollars for a DVD that you can only watch within 48 hours after opening, when you can buy a new release-that will play forever with proper care- for about double the bones (sometimes less, if you look). This is Disney's ill-conceived attempt to muscle out the rental market. Again I present the argument of price. It only cost me a couple of bucks to rent a new release. And some video stores have recent and old releases (but not new) for a buck for 7 days. If more rental stores across the nation would offer this, the EZ-D format would die the quick death it deserves. Do NOT buy anything in this format!! I've always suspected the evil undertone of Disney, and my suspicions have been confirmed. Hit 'em in the pocketbook, people!! You can fool some of the people some of the time, oh MegaEvilCorporation, but you haven't fooled me!
Rating: Summary: Lindsay Rocks!! Review: Lindsay Lohan rocks. This film really demonstrates lindsay capability! U rock She's way better than Hilary Duff.
Rating: Summary: Very Funny! Review: This movie was extremly hilarious! Of course I am only 12 and this movie would probaly be lame to me, but I was amazed! I especialy like the 2 music videos in the bonus features part! Anyway that is just what I think of this movie! It is definatly a family movie! Oh yeah and this movie is just like my life except for the changing places part! Duh!
Rating: Summary: Curtis is awesome Review: She is so great in this movie. She and Lohan make a great pair. The movie is funny as well as fun. Forget about any of the previous versions of Freaky Friday. This version beats out Foster's 70's version, and there's no water skiing in this version.
Rating: Summary: Enjoyed it Review: I enjoyed this movie very much. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are great. I am disappointed that Lindsay Lohan isn't in any more movies than she is because she is a good young actress and should be used for new future teen movies. Enjoyed it and you should check it out!
Rating: Summary: Boring.... Review: I found this movie to be incredibly boring. There were few funny parts to it, while I had expected a whole lot more. Also this is a very childish movie that is not suited for anyone over 9. I gave this move 3 stars because I did like the ending, few funny moments, and the fact that at least it is watchible for SOME age group. Hope this helped.
Rating: Summary: weird Review: this is a good decent movie that is weird and has your head spinning in, and by the way its time for curtis to retire

It is a great family movie to spend time together while laughing! I absolutely loved the movie! If you haven't watched it you should! Becuase during one part it shows...........
Rating: Summary: Amazing Remake Review: Dr. Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis), and Anna (Lindsay Lohan), her teenage daughter, never see eye to eye. Mom and daughter have different taste in clothes, guys, and even music. That is, until one night when everything changes for them, for they are now in each other's bodies, and forced to see how the other half lives. Sure, it's definitely the freakiest Friday, but Tess's wedding is on Saturday, and Anna is definitely NOT going to be marrying Ryan (Mark Harmon) for her Mom. Now they have to try to switch back in a flash, before both of their lives are ruined forever. With great lead and supporting cast members, FREAKY FRIDAY is sure to be a hit with all crowds, young and old. Ryan Malgarini (playing Harry, Anna's younger sibling) plays the part of an annoying younger brother fantastically. Mark Harmon (playing Tess's fiance Ryan) puts up with everything the kids throw at him, and manages to keep a smile on his face while he does so. Harold Gould (playing Grandpa), is perfect in the part of a neurotic, senile adult, running whenever someone yells "EARTHQUAKE!" And Chad Michael Murray (playing the role of Anna's crush, Jake) is the absolute perfect guy, playing someone who has a tough exterior, but is really just a big sweet teddy bear, who is absolutely perfect for Anna. Fans of the 1977 classic FREAKY FRIDAY, starring Jodie Foster, will relish in the 2003 remake of it. Featuring award-winning performances by both Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, this is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Don't miss it! Erika Sorocco
