Summary: Fun filled frivolity for the whole f@# kin family
Review: Entertaining remake of the old Jody Foster movie that is fast paced family entertainment. Jamie Lee Curtis has a lot of fun with what is definateley her best role in years. She is so adept at broad comedy that I'm surprised she doesn't get better parts in movies. Lindsay Lohan is good as the daughter and reminds me of Melissa Joan Hart a little bit. Mark Harmon who plays Curtis' fiancee has definateley cornered the market on blandness but the pace and tempo is kept fun and lively throughout and your kids should love it.

Summary: Most Empty Movie ever made, Hands Down
Review: "Freaky Friday?" WOOOOOOOW!!!!! Could there ever be a more original idea than, "switching bodies"? Whoooaaa, groundbreaking!!! Jamie Lee Curtis and some blonde b*tch nobody cares about play a mother and daughter who have their personalities switched after eating Chinese food. And as e ALLLL know, stuff from other countries is always magical and waaayy kewl!

There is also an impossibly bratty younger brother and a lame attempt at a romance!!! Romance? You mean to tell me this girl is prissy?!? Oh, Nooooo! This girl is COOL! You want to know WHY??? Cause she's in a BAND! Ooooooh! And it's called, "Pink Slip"! Yeah, that's right! Ain't that HEAVY?!? She plays a GUITAR! That means she's "down" with all the Generation X-ers! And as Good Charlotte and Avril Lavigne have proved over and over, anyone and everyone with loud guitars is to be respected, no matter how stupid and juvenile their lyrics are!

A teenage girl who probably thinks cheerleaders are evil!!! WOW! Haven't seen that before in my entire life!!! And of course she has to be rebellious!!! Oh, no! But not rebellious in a threatening way! No, WE CAN'T HAVE THAT!!!! Not rebellious in a way that would make her question organized religion or want to protest the actions of the U.S. government!!! No, only rebellious enough to wear horrible leather jackets and piercings and safety pins and smeared makeup.

Eventually, "Freaky Friday" will become doubtlessly a fascinating document - a frightening insight into the vacuous state and empty-headedness of 21st century culture. Students of the far future will hopefully stare at it in disgust and scratch their heads over its contents. Like another Nsync album. Like another "American Pie" sequel. Like barney the purple dinosaur. Like a soap opera. Like a shopping mall. Like a Nike trainer stamping on a human face forever.

But in the end, truly the saddest part of all this is...it's not even the movie's fault. The ones who bought the tickets, the people seeking to shut out reality and dull their senses with movies so sweet that they cause tooth decay...we customers are the ones to blame. It wasn't this horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE movie's fault for trying its luck at the box office - it was our fault for indulging it.

Summary: Girl Power
Review: I love that there are quite a few good films for young girls to see. Movies with spunk. This one is no exception. It's fresh and funny, and brilliantly acted out. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan do amazing jobs pretending that they are one another, so much so that I actually began to believe that they had switched bodies.

Like many mother/daughter's, Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) argue. Anna thinks her mother is ruining her life. Tess thinks she is just watching out for her daughter. They go out for Chinese and a little old Chinese lady gives them each a fortune cookie, which is the catalyst for their switch. Will they ever get back to their own bodies? And more importantly, can they learn to respect one another?

Of course this movie is predictable, but that's not the point. It's sweet and a total blast to watch, not to mention laugh out loud funny.

The DVD contains some good special features, including alternate endings, which are pretty cool. I have no doubt that teen girls are going to go insane over this film, but men, women, and picky little boys who won't watch anything but Pokemon will like this movie as well.

Review: I'm not watching this movie because I resent Jamie Lee Curtis calling our President a warmonger. Keep your political opinions to yourself, Jamie -- your job is acting.

Summary: FREAKY FRIDAY
Review: Lindsay Lohan & Jamie Lee Curtis star in this wonderful and delightful Disney comedy about a mother and a daughter who argue a lot and end up switching bodies with one another after a mysterious fortune cookie!
Lindsay Lohan plays the daughter named Anna, whom has a passion for being in a rock band, and also has a crush on this guy named Jake, whom she see's at school, and is too afraid to talk to him.
Jamie Lee Curtis plays the mother named Tess Coleman, whom is a psychology doctor, and is too busy to understand what Anna wants or what Anna wants her mother to understand.
Once Anna and her mother are in each other's bodies, they learn to understand how it's like to be one another, and with that, they find love and respect in each other, and for a Disney movie, this one is sure to be a very funny and hilarious Disney film to watch for the whole family to enjoy! I give this movie too thumbs up! TOTALLY!!!

Summary: cheesy yet touching
Review: If you a looking for a children's movie, "Freaky Friday" is the one you want. The kids will absolutly love it!

In "Freaky Friday," the relationship between daughter and mother, sister and brother, friends and friends or enemies are portrayed in the some how chaotic (and filled with detention)life of the main character. The clever banters and arguments are one of the facets that makes this movie as a acceptable entertainment.

For adults and teenagers, this movie might seem stupid for the storyline had been played by other movies as well. However, a part that might grabs the attention of teenagers are the music played by the band, Pink Slip, of the main character. "Ultimate" and "Take Me Away" are two pretty good songs that make the movie a lot more lively.

Summary: Super Freaky
Review: The original Freaky Friday, released in 1977, starred Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster, as a mother/daughter, who pull off the old switchero. The sprited 2003 remake is as much fun as the earlier incarnation and is a great showcase for the comedic talents of its two female leads.

Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her 15-year-old daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan) are not getting along all that well. The pair butt heads over everthing from boys, household chores, to mom's upcoming nuptials to Ryan (Mark Harmon). However, everything changes when two identical Chinese fortune cookies cause a little mystic mayhem and Tess and Anna find themselves inside the other's body. And with Tess's wedding only a few days away, the two have to find a way to switch back before the big day.

Under the direction of Mark S. Waters, Freaky Friday, has what many of the identity crisis comedies of the past did not--good chemistry between the leads. Curtis and Lohan make quite a team. I was very impressed with the way they were both able to transform into each other. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have a clever and witty script, to back you up. After seeing Curtis strut her stuff, her Golden Globe nomination for her performance, was well deserved.

The DVD has a solid assortment of extras, but I really wish the stars had recorded an audio commentary, that probably would have been lots of fun. Waters offers an introduction for a deleted scene and no less than three alternate endings. I'll let you decide for yourself, which ending works best. Actress Lindsay Lohan grabbed a DV Camera for some fun backstage moments with the cast and crew during the making of the film. There's also a three minute blooper reel that's worth a look, two music videos from the film's soundtrack: Lillix's "What I Like About You" and Halo Friendlies' "Me Vs. the World", a few DVD-ROM weblinks, and the usual Disney sneak peeks. The actual theatrical trailers for either Freaky Friday film, however, didn't make the disc. Viewers can watch the movie in either the full-screen or widescreen formats

This is a lighthearted family comedy that made even this somewhat cynical reviewer smile. Recommended

Summary: Excellent
Review: I watched this movie with my mom - and we both loved it (which is not something I can say about all movies we watch together). The actors were amazing, they totally fit their roles and acted their parts throughout the whole thing. The plot sounds a little dubious - I mean, a mom and daughter changing around? - but the movie carries it off very well and it was really touching at the end. Lindsay Lohan is awesome on her guitar - I love Ultimate at the end - and Jamie Lee Curtis was AMAZING in her award-nominated performance. I haven't seen the original version of this film, but this one has a very upbeat and modern feel to it - you won't get bored. A DEFINITE must-see with your mom/daughter -- if not for anything else but to drool over Chad Michael Murray!
