Summary: Impressed
Review: In terms of what this movie was going for, I think it was a fine movie. Many hilarious moments, some good horror moments as well. I'd say it's right on the money.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: ummmm.....no!
Review: Is there a rating with less than one star? There should be. Ladies, let your guy see this one with his pals. The best thing I can say about this movie is that the actresses didn't seem to have had a lot of "work done". Honest, you'll get plenty of chances to check. Movie about a Jimmy Buffet rip off singer who own his own island resort...and horror insues.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Worth a look.
Review: It took a while to get going, but after the set up, the jokes start coming pretty regularly and some of them are pretty funny. There is not, however, one scene in this movie that is even close to as funny as the first scene in Super Troopers.

There seems to have been some confusion as to whether or not this was a horror movie. I cannot begin to comprehend how anyone could see it as such. Gore does not equal horror. Is it scary? No. Is it supposed to be? No. It is just a horror parody, much like the "Scary Movie" series but not as broad and zaney.

I do really like Broken Lizard as a comedy ensemble. They play off of each other really well. The timing is great, the humor is silly. Each one of them really has something that compliments the group as a whole. I also really like quite a bit of the writing. Some of it is kind of stupid, yes. But it always stays away from all Hollywood cliche and it sounds fresh - as in, not stale, like most of the Tinseltown cookie cutter crap that calls itself comedy.

If you liked Super Troopers, you will like this movie less, but you will still like it. Good, silly, fun from good, silly comedians.

Summary: a decent film
Review: it was not nearly as good as Super Troopers but it was funny Coconut Pete is the best character and his song Pina Coladaburg was great. This movie wasn't that funny but it did have some scary parts. I also thought the Dive Instructor was pretty funny it is worth watching and if you are a broken lizard fan you should buy it

Summary: one or two amusing moments - the rest was garbage
Review: Nope, terrible movie. A few snickers here and there from the audience last night, but pretty much dead silent. More of a weak slasher movie than a comedy. Bill Paxton did a great job, the pac-man scene is good along with the pretzel/watermelon moment, but not worth the cash - even for a rental. Catch it on Cinemax. Loved Troopers, but didn't expect or want to see the same characters/situations, as one reviewer suggested. Sincerely hope these guys can get it back together for a better run.

Summary: From a huge fan of Supertroopers
Review: Now, don't get me wrong... I loved their previous masterpiece, Supertroopers. Since I learned about Supertroopers from Amazon.com, that movie became my instant classic, I recommended it to all my friends. Too bad I can't do this with Club Dread.

In short, this movie is:
1) not a comedy (a movie needs to be funny to qualify as a comedy)
2) extremely boring,
3) painful to watch probably for everyone who saw and enjoyed Supertroopers.

Perhaps a DVD edition will come with a personal pack of Johnny Chimpo reefer, which would be the only way to watch it again.

Summary: this is a let down from The Broken Lizard crew
Review: Super Troopers did a lot for me and it wasn't a classic but it was funny as hell. Zoom foward to Club Dread which in the complete end of it has stirred away from it's own pot. Broken Lizard gang brewed up a mix of flat jokes, gorey violence and some scantly revealing women. In conclusion if this is your cup of tea then go for it but it's a let down. Bill Paxton (Near Dark, the upcoming Thunderbirds) who plays Coconaut Pete is the only highlight in the movie. Brittney Daniel (tv's That 80's Show, Joe Dirt) plays Aerobics Amy has her moments. It's like a bad hangover.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Funny...but not as funny as you'll hope.
Review: Super Troopers was a surprise to us all. I mean come on..who has ever thought of saying "A litre of cola"?

I liked Club Dread. But I like 'B' movies also. If you are expecting it to be as funny as Super Troopers...then I would at least rent it first before buying it. It does have it's funny moments though...like playing a live action Pac-Man maze game..lol. And like a true slasher flick, it does have a good ammount of boobage. True fans of Broken Lizard will like this movie, but hope that their third installment is better.

I miss Favre!

Summary: Trying to keep my excitement under wraps!!
Review: Super Troopers... Amazing. My favorite movie genre is comedy, and I love a lot of comedy movies; for instance, Dumb and Dumber, Zoolander, Me Myself & Irene, just to name a few. From the moment I saw Super Troopers, the others just fell into second place. Broken Lizard, the team behind this madness, are true genius comedians. What makes them so great though, is there ability to translate this comedy in to a film.

With all of that being said, Club Dread promises to carry on the tradition of outrageously funny comedy... we can only all hope and pray that it is!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not What I Expected...
Review: The moment I watched Super Troopers I thought it was the funniest movie ever, and when I heard that the makers where making a new title "CLUB DREAD" I couldn't wait at all! Although I have to admit some parts were funny...the movie was just plain lame and boring. I only laughed outloud once. What happened? Usually I like all movies but hey, it's worth a see!
