Summary: Paved the way for great teen movies... and none can compare!
Review: This movie was the first movie to REALLY start the image of the real teen (okay, perhaps a little exhaggerated, but...) Really, guys DO all think about sex. Here are the characters:

JIM is a slightly timid guy who's confidence and faith in his lady skills are LIMITED. He wants more than anything to score with Checz exchange student NADIA, but just when he gets closest, he screws it up. He just may find a solution in MICHELLE, a "band geek" who has more to her than people think... a LOT more.

KEVIN is an all-American virgin, who has been trying like mad to get his girlfriend, VICKY, into bed. Vicky, though, has an image in her head of the perfect moment, perfect setting, and the perfect three words from Kevin: "I love you." But Kevin needs those three words to be perfect as well.

OZ is the jock of the group, who thinks he can coast through life without effort for anyone else. But he takes some advice and goes for a sensetive angle, working over the innocent, but definately not naive "choir chick" HEATHER. But the moment is in danger of being ruined by STIFLER, another jock, who is not exactly Mr. Sensetive. He's HOTTTT and knows it.

BTW, his mom is quite the "MILF" although she only actually appears once... and FINCH, a new-age ladies man, goes nuts for her... and WITH her.

Other characters include JESSICA, Vicky's "experienced" best friend who gives advice to EVERYONE, Chuck "Sherminator" Sherman, and Jim's Dad.

Summary: is this supposed to be a joke?
Review: It is movies like American Pie that give americans a bad name
No F****** wonder the world thinks were just horney beer guzzling hormone charged robots.
This movie brainwashed high schoolers and preteens into thinking mindless sex and constant partying is just harmless and (reputation speaking) required in High school. Well, i watched my class mates follow the stupid antics that this movie depicts, and one got ran over by a car, and one got his girl friend pregnant(she was a freshman might i add)
These are the people who are going to run the country, I pray these people work in factories or go into the military, because if you let these kids go to college, $4,000 is going to go straight down the drain,
im not a hard core christian and i know its only a movie, but it did start a revolution of my generation, and it sucks

Summary: Tara Reid & Seann W. Scott - only redeemable factors
Review: What kept me from hating this movie as much as I wanted to was the fact that two of my favorite stars (Tara Reid and Seann W. Scott) were in this. Otherwise, this movie was just a piece of junk. It's one of those ... teen movies that makes us all look like we're horny, sex-loving pervs! Not all teens are all about sex - a lot care about issues such as college, success, politics...you know what I'm getting at. Plus, Chris Klein bugged me. I used to think he was an okay guy and all, but after I watched this, I came to the conclusion that the only role that guy gets is the sweet but naive jock role! He must have a very bad agent or something to be getting these awful, camp roles. Either that or he's just a bad actor. I actually thought this would be a good movie! Whoah...was I WRONG! This was a terrible movie with a dumb plot. The only people who will enjoy this are teens who can't get it on or adults who never quite got over issues. Awful, awful movie.

Summary: Adolescent
Review: Picture realistically depicts the wrestling match most adolescents involve
themselves in with sexual relations. Movie was well done technically
and the actors were pretty believable; but the subject is one of
growth from immaturity, and the rating reflects this genre.

Light weight, but how else could it have been done, given its goal?

Summary: Sexy, hilarious teen movie
Review: "American Pie" is one of the funniest teen movies released in 1999. It explores the side of teen real life that few producers have dared. Its risque sexual material combines with the incredible sense of humor that nobody will forget.

A group of four high school boys vow to lose their virginities before graduation. All four think of a scheme to manuever their ladies to have sex with them. There are losers, there are fools, there are sensatives, but there are no ordinaries. Everyone has their funny outtakes dealing with their sex struggles. Their actions change their lives forever. Jason Biggs, Eddie Kay Thomas, Thomas Ian Nicholas, and Chris Klein participate in the wonderful quartet of friends. Seann William Scott plays their party animal half-sidekick. Every actor expresses their character comicly. Even those with two-minute screen time are unforgettable.

Those who are looking to kick back and have a good time should watch this comedy movie. This will make any get-together spicy. Afterward, those who want more spice should also watch the sequel.

Summary: Rated vs. Unrated
Review: Did a quick search for the differences... there are 4 scenes added/changed in the unrated version (unrated is 12 seconds longer than the rated version):

Scene 1 (The Pie Scene)
Unrated: Horizontal Position
Rated: Vertical Position

Scene 2 (The Beer Scene)
Unrated: Shows the guy hunched over with the beer
Rated: Shows the look on the girl's face

Scene 3 (The Exchange Student)
Unrated: Shows her pleasuring herself a little more

Scene 4 (The "I'm Coming" Scene)
Unrated: Shows the "bible" a little more graphically.

Summary: A really funny movie, only two problems...
Review: "American Pie", is a great movie but it should have been rated NC-17 for Strong Sexual Content, Drug Content, & Language, and more nudity from the girls.

Summary: As "Wholesome" As Apple Pie
Review: Many of the teen comedy movies that we are presented with today are raunchy spoofs of other movies or genres, such as the Scary Movie series and Not Another Teen Movie. This is one of the factors that sets American Pie above the others; it is a (somewhat) original idea about 4 friends who vow to lose their virginity by grauduation, but they have a problem: they don't know how to treat girls. The each have their own path that eventually leads them to the Prom, with or without a date. This a VERY funny movie. Many of the jokes are gross-out gags, but the beauty of it is that many of them are brand new (beer anyone?), and the ways the quartet go about wooing their prospects are great. Also, the girls are given substancial, if not equal, screentime as their male counterparts, so we can get to know them as well as our heroes. Finally, I would like to share some trivia that I just became aware of. When Alyson Hannigan was first called in to do this movie, the filmmakers wanted her to play Heather, but she preferred the character Michelle. If she had played Heather, there would have been parallels to her character Willow on the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. 1. She would date a guy named Oz. 2. She would sing a song called "Do You Believe In Magic?" (Willow was a witch.) 3. Oz finishes a song saying "Scooby bop". Buffy's gang of friends is often referred to as the "Scooby Gang". If you haven't yet seen this movie, get to your nearest video store and see it now, because, this one time, at band camp...
