Rating: Summary: Lloyd Review: A pastor friend of mine in California recommended that I purchase a copy of Lloyd for my pre-teen grandchildren. I was able to find it on Amazon.com. After reading other reviews on Amazon, I nearly decided not to purchase it.I reviewed the movie before allowing my grandchildren to see it. The only vulgar language that I heard was the word "fart" that was used twice. So far, my pre-teen grandchildren have watched Lloyd three times. They love it! This film is very unique in that it addresses all of the issues that pre-teens have. It helps them through these very difficult issues in ways that they can easily identify with.

Rating: Summary: What movie did your reviewer see? Review: After reading your reviewer's summary of the movie Lloyd, I'm thinking she might have been watching two things at once. Her review of this often funny and, also, touching movie bears no resemblence to the film I enjoyed. This is a wonderful film for anyone who has ever been an outsider. We may not have all triumphed in the end as Lloyd does, but he reminds us all that it's possible. Lloyd is a great role model of perseverance-- and of overcoming unhappy circumstances with creativity and humor. Ignore the "official" review and buy this for your family. (And talk about it with your kids, too.)
Rating: Summary: Jeez, have a sense of humor! Review: I am the first to object to mean-spirited films about outcast kids, and this movie isn't one of them! The outcast kids are our protagonists and so what if the teachers are parodied? We all recognize the kernel of truth in the characters presented. I have no hesitation letting my 8 year old watch this movie with us and we have adopted several lines as our own family sayings (for example, "Wow! Whoa! Amazing!" and "In this class we do not call each other ... FREAKS". Definitely...enjoy some belly laughs with Lloyd.

Rating: Summary: Give this film a chance! Review: I have seen this fim several times and was quite shocked by Lynn Gibson's negative review. The quality of the film speaks for itself. But only if it is seen..... The unanimous approval of the customer reviews attest to this fact. It is most unfortunate that potential buyers are first presented with with the "official" reviewers dismissal of this fine film. How many never bother to follow the links to the other reviews? In responce to the reviewers comments, I have many things to say.... but I will only quote from the book "Saturday Morning Censors: TV Regulations before the V-Chip" by Heather Hendershot "Debates around children's entertainment inevitably reveal what adults need or desire for themselves and of children." With this in mind, I encourage people to re-read the reviewers comments and come to their own conclusions.

Rating: Summary: Most unappreciated film ever made! Review: I love this movie. My mom loves this movie. Everyone I know loves this movie. We've watched it repeatedly and never tire of it. It's chock full of everything that a real adolescent experiences on a daily basis. And to top it all off, it's downright hilarious. Todd Bosley is by far one of the brightest young actors I have ever seen, and I hope his career continues to flourish.

Rating: Summary: This is the best "kid" movie about life ever! Review: I thought this was a great movie. Most of the other movies about kids and school are all really boring. Lloyd is not your average person as he has no friends, is made fun of by his little brother, and is an ugly kid. Yet he manages to find confidence in himself to invite a kid over (Troy played by Brendon Ryan Barrett)and become his friend as well as going after a girl he likes. I thought it was very different than your average 6th grade flick. I love the part when Lloyd starts screaming in the playground after seeing the girl he likes go with someone else. I also think that Brendon Ryan Barrett is the best actor in the movie as he was 14 when he shot this movie and looks really young.
