Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Some funny scenes
Review: Its hard to find a lot of comedys that get me laughing-at least the first half. The latter scenes were forced and dragged.Very funny was the sex club scene and when they got on the airplane.

Summary: LIGHT AND FUNNY !
Review: A lot of people expressed disappointment over this film, but perhaps they were just expecting it to deliver more than it was intended to deliver! I admit, it will probably never win any awards, and maybe it's not one of the absolute BEST movies Steve Martin and Goldy Hawn have ever been involved in. NEVERTHELESS, it delivers 90 minutes of laughs and entertainment as we watch empty nesters, Harry and Nancy from Ohio, tackle the many aggravations of BIG BAD NEW YORK CITY! Their rental car breaks down, they're mugged, pursued by a vicious Rottweiler, and spied in a "compromising position" by the mayor, himself! Yes, the movie succumbs to extreme silliness at times; but on the plus side, it made me laugh and never got boring! John Cleese is hysterical as a mad-cap cross-dressing hotelier, preforming a high-kicking disco dance to Donna Summer's "Bad Girls." (This scene alone makes the movie worth seeing)!

Summary: nobody does absurd surprise slapstick like Steve Martin
Review: This comedy really helped me cheer up. I was previewing it for our family and friends to watch on New Year's Eve because I didn't want a dud. I laughed so much that the cat was bewildered. I was in bed and trying not to roll on top of her because I really got the giggles and couldn't stop.

New Year's Eve was a hit because everyone enjoyed the show. Adding John Cleese was like the icing on the cake.

Summary: Great comedy!
Review: I never laughed so hard in my life! I rented this movie figuring it would be O.K. It was so funny. You know a movie is funny when you break out into uncontrollable, eye-watering laughter just remembering a scene from the film, even after you've finished watching the movie. Goldie Hawn and Steve Martin are a classic comedic duo. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to lift their spirits and see something lighthearted, not too serious, and hysterical.

Summary: Just stinking bad.
Review: This movie is, how shall I say, awful. Not funny at all -- and I'm pretty easy to get a laugh out of! Martin's acting, as usual, is good, but even his good acting could not trump the poor writing.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Embarrassing
Review: Embarrassing for the cast to be involved in this stink-bomb. It is the worst film involving Steve Martin that I have seen heretofore.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Fun at the Big Apple
Review: I liked this film a lot! Hawn and Martin are just the perfect match in this movie. Lots, lots of humor, see it!

Summary: Funny for being so horrible
Review: Bleh! Ha Ha Ha! How pathetic! I watched this film only because I wanted to see how bad it really was, and I was not let down in the least. Goldie and Steve Martin go to New York together to rekindle thier marriage while Martin visits for a job interview . Both of them try real hard to act silly as they get into dumb predicaments, but Goldie really sinks it up with this film .She trys to be too much like Steve Martin , and the result is a complete lack of chemistry between the 2 actors. The dialog and situations are just too rediculous to describe ! Rent this one if you like bad movies.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Unfunny. No imagination shown here.
Review: The original screen version is far superior to this stinker. Isn't there anyone in Hollywood who can write comedy? Hollywood screen writers seem to be stuck on a constant diet of tired sex jokes and innuendos. This movie is a heavy bomber. Don't waste your time.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: No Words!
Review: This movie is so uproariously(is that the word?) hilarious, it simply can't be put into words without lessening the quality. IT IS THAT GOOD! I love every movie Steve Martin has been in. Goldie Hawn is one of the greatest. But it is John Cleese who steals the show as a cross-dressing hotel manager. The dancing scene with Cleese high-kicking to "Bad Girls" is virtually unmatchable in hilariousness. This movie definitely stands out above the rest.
