Summary: I expected more comedy and less gore
Review: Before I saw this movie, I thought it was a comedy. But this movie is so gory and there is so much violence that you shouldn't call it a real comedy. It is a thriller with some funny moments.

If you look at it serious, you will probably hate it. But if you don't think about the tragedy and the drama, then it's an enjoyable movie.

The performances of the actors are great and there are some very funny scenes.

Good to see once, but not twice.

Summary: brilliant - no less
Review: i have seen this movie 5 times and it gets better each time. dark? maybe. funny? definately! i think some people take movies a bit too seriously and try to read into them some type sociological commentary of modern life. to these people can watch schindler's list and like a movie about seeing such misery, death, and REAL murder but can't laugh at a movie like VBT which is obviously NOT A REFLECTION OF REALITY. it's only a movie folks, get real.

anyways, brilliant brilliant movie. worth owning. go for the wahoo moment!

Summary: I WOULD GIVE THIS ZERO STARS IF I COULD
Review: This movie was exceptionally disappointing considering the cast profile. The title ultimately sums up this macabre mix of "comedy" and extreme violence - it was a Very Bad Movie. There are a few good jokes, but what few exist are violated by the unexpected brutality that the editor forgot to cut out. The sadistic mix of vile humor with ultraviolence is disturbing. What was the point? A definite no for anyone who might question what's right from what's wrong. The finale pokes brutal fun at physically disabled individuals and makes you wonder what happened to Diaz who just became the main character. Don't worry -- I can't spoil the ending because it's not good. It could have ended about three scenes earlier (walking down the isle) and maybe I would have just laughed it off instead of writing this review. Probably not, though, considering the rapid plot contrasts within the entire movie. To take a serious step back, it seems like the director took a comedy, a drama, and a hot chick threw in a few murders. This was poor judgement on both of our parts. I should have never watched it.

Summary: TO SEE WITH NO PREJUDICES
Review: First of all: if you want to see and enjoy - and laugh out loud - this movie, you have to get rid of your prejudices. This is more than a black comedy, but it comes to show actitudes of real people. Believe it or not, I'm sure many women would be very close to do the same that Cameron Diaz did in the film to achieve its unique objective in life: getting married. But, if that kind of girls saw this movie, I belive they would review their priorities. Christian Slater and Cameron Diaz are superb!

Summary: Very bad things is a very average movie
Review: The comedy was good, the plot was okay, and it was a decent movie, but what made it a good movie for me was seeing that hot Asian pornstar

Summary: Very Good Movie
Review: I loved this movie, although it's very dark humor, and at times I felt guilty laughing about it. It was well written, and one never knew what was going to happen next, very suspenseful. I've only watched the movie once so far, but I am looking forward to giving it another look.

Summary: Absolutely NOT funny...
Review: I just finished watching this film, and I feel literally sick to my stomach. It is NOT funny in any way, and it was billed as a humorous film. Instead, this was a rather bizarre film that began with five friends going to Las Vegas for a bachelor party, and ending in a very disastrous way. I'm sorry, it was just NOT funny. Perhaps the story could have been turned into something that resembled humor, but if it was the director's intention to make a comedy, the attempt was unsuccessful.

At the bachelor party during a wild romp, a prostitute was accidentally killed. To cover up what was done, another person was killed. Then these friends went shopping for things to clean up the bloody mess and pack up the bodies. No, it is NOT funny to pack up two bodies in suitcases, mix up the parts, and then decide that the plastic-wrapped parts must be sorted and laid out for a proper Jewish burial at night in the middle of the desert. I kept wondering where the humor was in this movie, so I continued to watch it. All I saw were things that made me queasy, as murder after murder was committed. Laura, the bride-to-be (Cameron Diaz), was very grating as a hard-core control freak that was determined to be married at all costs. Why the groom wanted to marry her, I just don't understand. And I suppose in the end, we're all supposed to feel better because she ends up playing the mother role to some kids that hate her, while she must clean toilets and care for a quadripegic, a legless man, and a three-legged dog. It sounds funnier writing about it than it actually appeared, but the film was quite distasteful and SO UN-funny. The end of the film was weak, and I found myself waiting for after the credits rolled for something else to happen, like, maybe a narrator to say, "Okay folks, this was all a bad joke!" But no, nothing could fix this film. It was beyond redeption. My fellow movie-watchers and I decided that AT LEAST THE FILM WAS APTLY NAMED, yes, "VERY BAD THINGS" is an appropriate title. I'm still waiting for my stomach to feel better. I would recommend another movie, especially if you enjoy humor.

Summary: TWISTED
Review: This movie is fantastic. The comedy is in the extreme, exaggeratedmadness of the movie; the way that the human stability of each of thecharacters is hilariously compromised because of "what they did in Vegas" and the completely twisted events which take place.

The script is original, surprisingly intelligent, witty and very entertaining. The characters are great, helped by a brilliant cast offering excellent performances (especially Christian Slater as a neurotic estate agent). This movie is one of the most enjoyable that I have ever seen and I would definately recommend it to anybody with a stable mind (you'll need one) and sick sense of humour...If not watch it anyway.

Summary: Well made but no comedy
Review: I remember sitting there aghast at the end of the film, trying to figure out exactly who this was made for. It was certainly marketed incorrectly - while they got the "dark" part right, it wasn't much of a comedy. The comedy bits - lines, really - that you saw in the trailer are just about all the funny bits. The rest is a basic psychological thriller, and NOT a bad one. Well made, well shot, and well acted in most cases (Christian Slater was outstanding), but sorry, not funny. I was happy to see in an earlier review that someone confirmed that "Carla Scott" the dead hooker, was in fact Kobe Tai. I thought that was the case when I originally saw the trailer when the movie was in theatrical release, but it's good to know the ol' eyesight hasn't completely keeled over. I will echo what many of the online reviewers have said: the film is worth seeing on its own merits, but don't go into it thinking you're going to see anything like "Something About Mary". SAM may have had its gross moments, but it was at heart a rather sweet film. This thing is just vicious. Don't avoid the film, just know what you're in for (not bad advice when considering any video rental/purchase).

Summary: Hip Snuff
Review: Absolutely horrifying. Profoundly dull/sad. Perhaps even evil? Such a quaint concept, that one. Walk in on a nephew who will rarely be troubled with art laughing at this one Christmas morning. Superficially glossy, but think about it.
