Review: I would not recommend this movie. It was filmed a long time ago and probably not good then either. It was predictable and boring and the acting was terrible. Everyone just seemed so affected like they knew a camera was focused on them the entire time. The dialogue was the worst part of all. The Big Chill was a classic and very difficult to copy without viewers expecting the same quality entertainment. This one did not even come close. The only good part was the end which did not come soon enough.

Review: I write this in hope that I can dissuade indie-film loving viewers from renting this. I never negatively criticize a movie and always avoid making objective statements. This movie is bad! The worst movie I have ever seen! I rarely watch big-budget movies, so my opinion is not resulting from lack of appreciation. I love obscure, slow-moving, complicated independent film. This is not any of those. This is a low-budget horror film, without the horror. Or a low-budget porno, without the sex. One more: a low-budget reality show, without the reality. Skip it, by all means!

Review: This movie does not feel like your typical "indie movie." It has the look of a high budget studio movie. Very enjoyable. The acting, editing, camera work et al were right on. I wish I could see more indie movies of this quality. It would give the idea of indie filmmaking a better reputation. Bravo!!

Review: What a nice surprise this movie was! I wasn't sure what to expect given the title, but gave it a shot since it won a bunch of awards on the film festival circuit. This movie is about a group of friends over a holiday weekend, who find themselves at crossroads in their lives. But they only discover this as dynamics and frictions among some in the group cause skeletons to surface, and the weekend to escalate into some hilarious episodes. While this ensemble cast are not name stars, some of them probably will be. The performances are really quite good, and this is one of the better independent films I've ever seen. It definitely delivers, and there are some great twists and turns along the way. This could be compared to other ensemble films like "The Big Chill," but that movie is over 20 years old and about a different generation. "God, Sex & Apple Pie" is a contemporary, humorous and poignant look at the current generation of thirtysomethings.
