Summary: A very good edition of a very funny movie
Review: First off I didn't buy American Pie the first time it was released and I'm glad I didn't because the ultimate edition is a well produced dvd. It has it all: good features, 2 good transfers (full-frame and 16x9 enhanced widescreen), super cool packaging, and a free ticket (yes I said free no additional purchase needed) to American Pie 2. Also although it may not matter to everyone the layer switch on both transfers is extremely smooth (it's a pluss to me because an ill placed layer switch can ruin the home vieing experience)....

Summary: What's the difference between Ultimate vs Uncut?
Review: I have the 'uncut version'. What is the difference besides dishing out another $25? 5 stars for the movie and 1 star for the marketing genius who is out to suck more money out of the consumer.

Summary: pathetic.
Review: is it just me or is the new Hollywood 'gross-out' trend wearing thin? I mean, movies have never been this perverted (or terrible) in all of cinema history. I can't remember the last time I've seen a *funny* comedy in the theaters. Comedies nowadays are all just about sex. I'm tired of it. Call me bitter, but Hollywood just plain stinks!

Summary: Hated it!
Review: I'm sorry, but I loathed this movie. I thought it was vulgar and even more damning, not the least bit funny. It sort of scares me that we're raising a generation of kids who mistake humor for the gross-out one-note "jokes" of AMERICAN PIE and SCARY MOVIE. This one made me want to wash my hands and go watch an old Cary Grant/Katherine Hepburn movie. Or at least something genuinely funny like ANIMAL HOUSE!

Summary: Great movie but DO THE SPECIAL EDITION THE FIRST TIME!
Review: This movie is funny. I like it. But shady business practices like this are exactly the reason I rarely buy DVDs - asking fans to pony up twice for the same film in the space of a couple years is an insult. I will pay for this film 0 times, give Blockbuster my business, laugh at the movie again, watch the special features, then return it.

Can't wait for the 3-disc set! I will rent that at Blockbuster too!

Summary: Good DVD to own!
Review: This is one of, my favorite comdies Jason Biggs (Jim) Mena Suvri (Heather) Tara Reid (Vicky) this is a comdey about these friends who want to get, laid I wont say anything else but the 2 disc dvd is good, better Deleted Footage which is, funny as ... and the Sneek Peek to "American Pie 2," I want to see that. But this edition is worth buying. So enjoy this. NOT FOR YOUNGER KIDS.

Summary: What do you expect?
Review: Okay, I watched this film and honestly, I tried to keep an open mind. I wanted to see for myself if the movie was really as bad as I'd expected. Well it was worse. This movie is offensive to the very same crowd that it targets. I mean come on what do you expect from a movie whose whole plot is centered around a scene where an adolescent jerks off in a pie? They could have spared us a lot of agony by just having people pay to come and see that scene and then leave, because the plot line was remanufactured, overused and only funny if you are one of those people who believes that Elvis is still alive. The difference between Porkys and this movie is that Porkys WAS original and WAS funny. This is just another 90's flick whose plot was cut and pasted from many previously successful films and then promoted as being unique and made "original" by pushing the envelope of baseness and depravity. Bottom line - really bad movie.

Summary: Don't waste your money on this if you have the original
Review: If you bought the original DVD version that came out then you pretty much already have this "ultimate" edition. The deleted scenes, which there are only a handful, are the only real additions to the original disc. Save the twenty-two dollars and use it to go see "American Pie 2" if you already have the original. Don't let Universal milk you for twenty-two more dollars. If you don't have "American Pie" on DVD, then definitely buy this because the extras are great, just not that different from the first DVD of the movie.

Summary: Fun
Review: This is a DVD worth owning! It's a fun, fast paced movie that makes me laugh everytime I see it.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Clunky scenes, only one or two laughs...
Review: This film is not funny. It is very poorly scripted. On stepping into the cinema, I was hoping for an evening's mindless entertainment: and while what I witnessed was sufficiently mindless, it failed to qualify as entertainment. Do yourself a favour and spend your hard earned money on a real life apple pie - and eat it - you'll be much more satisfied.
