Summary: Not to be missed!
Review: I first rented this on a whim in early 1998 and fell in love with it instantly. The story line is something I (and just about anyone) could relate to-- six friends coming together to deal with something major that has rocked their lives. There are some huge laughs, a few tears, and a great soundtrack. This one is hard to find, so get it while you can. :0)

Summary: Don't waste your time or money-
Review: I had a hard time staying interested in this movie. If you can't get to sleep, here's your remedy.

Summary: typical portlanders
Review: I loved this movie - so very portland. we even saw it at the mission theater. Funny and well written, could have been better acting - but it was a great movie anyway. Do I know these people - it seems like I do.

Summary: This 20 Something Whinefest - Not For Everyone
Review: I must say right off that I'm over 30...so perhaps "I just don't get it".

That said...this film has done for me what all the sleeping aids in the world have failed to do. I rented it from Blockbuster and tried to watch it for 3 nights in row only to have the same thing happen...zzzz. This Big Chill Wannabe has some fantastic production values going for it as well as some (please note: NOT ALL) good acting to it's credit. But the screenplay is a whinefest that never really works it's way out of the "Feel Sorry For Us" mode. It's plunging the depths of young adulthood problems reveals only an old boot and some seaweed.

Summary: Two thumbs up
Review: I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Its offbeat characters, witty dialogue, and daring humor make this low-budget Big Chill an entertaining forerunner to the Something About Mary line of movies. Unlike the Chill, though, Games cleverly skewers its subject by revealing the shallowness and self-dramatization of the X-Generation. The production quality is first-rate; Games looks like it came from a major studio (i.e., 1000 times better than Clerks).

Summary: This movie was horrible
Review: I wish i could give this movie no stars, but unfortunately that is not an option. I rented this movie with a friend thinking it would be funny, especially since the label compared it to Clerks. This movie does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as clerks. This movie was in the comedy section...the only thing funny about it, was that some movie company actually let this peice of ... be released. The dialogue was not witty at all and clearly tries to emulate much of the dialogue from clerks. In once scene the slut of the group is asked how many guys she slept with...her answer 63. In clerks Veronica tells dante she had oral sex with 36 guys, what is 36 reversed? The whole movie is chock full of cliches. The subject has been touched upon thousands of times before and in much more original and thought provoking ways. How can you take someone's suicide seriously when the person's boyfried sleeps with her younger sister the night of her funeral. The only reason we watched the whole movie was to see if it could get an worse and it did. We should have known from the start that it would be bad. A line in the opening song goes..."they call it the past because it passes you by." Near the mid point of the movie stoner fried walks in...what an original idea. Every character in this movie was a walking stereotype. If I had friends like the people in the movie...id probably kill myself too. Watching this movie made me want to kill myself. Luckily i listened to Tool, true artists, and was saved. To quote one of the greatest shows ever..."Worst movie ever."

Summary: A reminder of most of my college weekends.
Review: If you a Gen-Xer, or even a veteran of late night quarters campaigns, this movie is for you. With a collection of some very good Pacific Northwest bands, the movies soundtrack keep time with the ebb and flow of the picture. Going from serious to aloof in a single scene, Drinking Games will keep you interested throughout. I dare anyone to keep up with these people during the movie, and if you do, don't plan on driving. If you are a child of the 80's, we finally have a movie to call our own.

Summary: Portlanders Would Understand
Review: If you live in Portland, Or and are 20-30, you must see this film. That's what you do, you get together with your friends and play drinking games till you all pass out somewhere. I related to it and so could you if you've ever been in this drunk situation. Although the acting was not top notch, it sure did make me miss my home. Oh, yes, and the sountrack is to die for... hmmm... I think I hear another search coming on. :)

Summary: Drinking Games is utterly Brilliant!
Review: Independent Films have the tendency of being a hit or miss, this film hit me right between the eyes. I have never seen a movie that trult captured a friendly get-together as wells as this film did. The cast is filled with talent, adding to the wit of the script and the strength of the subject matter. My advice to you is SEE THIS MOVIE.
