Summary: A Perfect Generation X Comedy
Review: I believe this is only work by both Chris Farley and David Spade that is worth owning. If Chris Farley had lived longer, perhaps they would have been able to do more, but David Spade requires the chemistry he lost with Farley--he's not able to do it alone. Also, "Black Sheep" is a bit of a dud. Anyway, what a crack up! If you like immature humor you will love this film! They were running on eight cylinders when they motored through this production.

Summary: Uproariously Funny!
Review: This movie is one of my favorites of all time. Mind you, it's no Citizen Kane, but if you're looking for great slapstick, this movie is it. David Spade plays a brilliant straight man off of Chris Farley's well meaning, but bumbling goof. Farley and Spade appear to have been born to play these parts, as they seamlessly melt into their characters.

Anyone who has seen Saturday Night Live when Chris Farley was on knows the excitable, not-too bright characters that he plays. This time, he is able to bring more depth to this guy as Tommy Callahan, the son of an autoparts company president who walks through life without a care. Although Richard (David Spade) gets all the good lines, Tommy gets all the laughs.

While Farley and Spade went on to take another swing at the "Buddy Picture" genre (Black Sheep), this one is clearly the best of them all. The comedic timing of both of these seasoned actors, perfected on the SNL stage, makes for a seamless dialogue and you are sure these two have known each other their whole lives.

An acting nod should also go to another central character, Richard's car, which of course, takes a tremendous beating by Tommy, as well as an angry deer. The interaction between Spade and Farley is perfectly timed, and the writing is pure genius. Appearances by Brian Dennehey, Bo Derek, and Rob Lowe are all well acted, and add to the hilarity. Overall, a great movie.

Review: This is going to be short, but this movie has brought joy to so many people thatks to Chris Farley. His humor changes people's lives. He makes people laugh and be happy. This movie is one of the all time greats. No one will ever be able to re-create a movie with even close to Tommy Boy's re-play value. Buy it.

Summary: FUNNIEST MOVIE EVER
Review: What a riot! The bumbling, idiotic, and bashful character of Tommy (Chris Farley) and the smug, intelligent, and dishumorous character of Richard (David Spade)combine to create a movie that will make you laugh your socks off. After Tommy's father dies, its up to him and Richard to sell enough brake pads to keep the company alive. Of course, Tommy keeps screwing up. It's hilarious to watch his misbegotten attempts to sell. ( Especially when he lights the guy's desk on fire. Of course, who couldn't laugh when they dress up as stewards to get on a plane and get pressed into service doing the announcements. This movie is just outright hilarious.

Summary: Chris Farley and David Spade are a perfect match
Review: Tommy Boy will be rememberd as perhaps one of the funniest films of the modern era. Farley and Spade have hilarious gags that go between them, and together they are absolutely fantastic. Farley plays the son of an auto parts manufacturer who is trying to make a name for himself, considering the hapless life he's led. With the help of David Spade, the two go on an adventure that is unforgettable and full of laughs. Critics hated this movie because it is more of a physical comedy with stupid gags. The stupid gags are a laugh riot though. Regardless of your tastes, you have to give this movie a chance. A cameo by Dan Aykroyd really seals this movie as an exceptional comedy. Sure it revolves around two bumbling morons, but that's where the magic comes from! Give the entire film a chance and you'll find it to be quite good. From one liners to running gags, Tommy Boy really has it all. This is one to sit back and enjoy.

Summary: A Question
Review: First of all, let me say that I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Farley is probably the only physical comedian who actually makes me laugh. Now, as to the question--has anyone noticed that Rob Lowe is not listed in the credits for the movie? If you don't believe me, check it out for yourself. He is not listed in the opening credits of the movie, nor in the closing credits cast list. I find that rather bizarre considering he had a prominent role in the movie. Perhaps he didn't like it and asked his name to be removed.

Summary: Hope and Crosby
Review: One of the best buddy / road movies ever made. And Brian Dennehy as Chris Farley's father is just perfect. And Bo Derek is still a 10. Top 10 best movies of all time.

Summary: THE Funniest Movie.
Review: I don't know how many times I've seen this movie, but I laugh so hard each time. When Big Tom Callahan dies, his auto parts factory passes to his family, many of whom want to sell it to a corporation which plans to close it down. Now its up to Tommy Callahan III, played by Chris Farley, to generate enough brake pad sales to save the factory and its employees from losing their jobs.
This movie will have you laughing the entire time!
