Summary: Not impressed.
Review: The only reason I gave this movie three stars is because James Bond, aka, Roger Moore portrays a homosexual. Priceless. All in all, I was not impressed. I usually love Cuba Gooding, Jr. but in this film I felt his acting was a bit contrived. You're welcome.

Summary: funny, but wierd
Review: my aunt had me watch boat trip with her.. its that one movie where those two guys accedently got on a gay cruise... it was... kinda... uhh... weird. most of the movie was just [...] jokes and [...] jokes. it was funny... but it was wierd. at the end of the movie i walked out and the only thing i could say was, "...uhhh..."

Summary: This dvd has the best interactive menu ever made!!
Review: You should be familiar on how a dvd menu opens different windows for each option, such as audio, scene selection, and commentary. Well with this dvd, a cast of 9 sexy playboy playmates hosts the menu.
There are 3 windows that are viewable one at a time. When you press the arrow button on your remote all the way to the right, then a window opens revealing 3 playmates. When you press the arrow button on your remote all the way to the right again, then another window opens revealing 3 different playmates.
Each playmate opens the options for audio, scene selection, director commentary, deleted scenes, etc.

Summary: Career Killing Unfunny 'Comedy': Just Stay Away
Review: So, here are the facts. 'Boat Trip' was shot in 2001, but never released until 2003. It stars Oscar-winner Cuba Godding Jr. who was nominated for the worst actor category of the Razzie Award (but, hey, he lost!) in the same year, as well as the director Mort Nathan (and he lost too!).
Now, is this that bad? I finally saw it, and now regret seeing this dreadful unfunny comedy. Think about this. Two straight guys (Cuba Gooding Jr. and Haratio Sanz), because of travel agent Will Farrell, end up on a 'gay only' crusie. There are many 'funny' gags related to the situation, which are not funny at all. One of the passanges happen to be a female Roselyn Sanchez, and Cuba Gooding Jr. fell for her. But of course! she thinks he is a gay -- he MUST be a gay, she thinks -- and she, dancing instructor by profession, quite seriously confesses to him that she like males only when he is a gay. Is this funny?
Still reading? So, Cuba Gooding Jr. pretends he ia a gay, and she is tricked into this strategy which I don't buy. When Vivica A Fox as his ex-girl friend storms into the ship, things don't get better. And if you see ex-007 agent Roger Moore (74 years old) degrading himself with some of the corniest lines he ever uttered (including as Bond), I start to wish an iceberg hit the ship, and sink the whole crew with the film itself deep into the Atlantic Ocean.
That's it. Who gave this potentially offensive project a green light? Gay people hate it, I know, but first of all, if you're not a gay, you would still hate it for being full of cliche, uninspired gags, and the final obligatory 'message' that tries to deny the suspected homophobia in the film. That I don't believe.

Summary: This had me laughing hard
Review: Awful acting, and Cuba is a previous Academy-winner? This is serious overacting, and not to mention embarrasing - and this is ok for the feautering models, but for serious actors like Cuba it's not. Two heterosexuals crashing into a gay-cruise could have been really fun, but the bad acting followed by a stupid plot for a storyline makes it one of the least funny comedies I've ever seen. Sorry Cuba...

Summary: Doomed for an iceberg...
Review: This movie had all the elements of something that could've been very good, but for various reasons turned out to be marginally acceptable. While the blame mostly lands on the feeble shoulders of the script, the acting and direction also contributed greatly to its floundering.
Boat Trip stars Cuba Gooding Jr., Horatio Sanz, and a very hot Roselyn Sanchez as the love interest (sort of). In the opening sequence, Jerry (Cuba) is dumped by his girlfriend (played flatly by Vivica A. Fox), and in an effort to cheer him up, Nick (Sanz) convinces Jerry to head out on a singles cruise with him. The problem, of course, is that through a series of foul-ups, they end up on a Gay cruise. The problem worsens when Jerry meets Gabriella (Sanchez) and falls instantly in love with her. He decides to pretend to be gay, since she's made it clear that she's done with straight men and that she is trying to get a gay man to sleep with her. From here various subplots play out, including Nick questioning his own sexuality, a creepy appearance by Roger Moore as a gay Donald Trump character, and a reappearance by Vivica A. Fox. All ends as it should, happily ever after.
The movie was by no stretch awful, but it was horribly acted and completely clich?-ridden. I find it amazing how quickly Gooding has gone from Oscar-caliber work to starring as a sidekick to a SNL character actor. None of the genius that seemed to shine in his earlier films (Jerry McGuire, As Good as it Gets) is even faintly present here. The best aspect of the movie by far is Sanchez, who was the only one not throwing herself over the top in that "slam-you-over-the-head" style comedy weighting this one down. Otherwise, the only reason I can suggest renting this is for the DVD menu. It's literally the most random thing I've ever seen. It has nothing to do with the movie - nothing to do with anything, really. I can't imagine why they used it. I'm not saying it's bad, not by a long shot, just random and actually worth renting it for.
Sanz will certainly go on to do several of these bombs in the next few years, being the closest thing we have to Chris Farley, and Sanchez is just too talented and attractive to stay in this caliber of film. Gooding, however, is in trouble. After his last few performances (Pearl Harbor, The Fighting Temptations, Snow Dogs, etc.) I'm skeptical he'll ever recover, and may be destined to the B movie genre from here on out.

Review: I've watched Boat Trip over and over and over again! It's the most hilarious movie I've ever seen. Cuba Gooding Jr is GREAT in this movie. So funny. I love it and I never get tired of watching it.
