Summary: Not a well made or verry funny movie
Review: I have to admit I was very intrigued by the idea of this movie. Cuba Gooding Jr. and Haratio Sanz going on a gay cruise. They had me sold from that point and I got robbed.

Boat Trip has a very simple plot. Cuba Gooding Jr. gets turned down by the woman he proposed to Viva A. Fox. She tells him she is going out with her car detailer and she's cheating on him. He lives in self pity for six months until his buddy Haratio gets him to go on a cruise. They tick off the cruise agent man and he gets back at them by signing them up for a gay cruise.

While on the Cruise Cuba falls in love with a woman who is the dancer instructor played by Roselyn Sanchez. Horatio is falling for a Swedeish bikini tan model who gets on the cruise because he shoots there helicopter down with a flare gun. Will they both keep the woman they love or turn gay. It's all up to you to watch it.

Cuba Gooding Jr. displayed a lot of energy in the movie. It's sad to see a guy who was so great in movies like Boyz in the Hood, Men of Honor, Jerry Maguire, and Radio do a movie like this. You have to wonder what he's doing with his carear. He's one of the best minority actors in the world. A tacky raunchy comedy doesn't show that talent and this is something only his diehard fans could love.

They aren't really offensive to gay people in the movie. I thought Haratio would have a field day with it, but he doesn't. He does some bashing, but the movie has a feel good about homosexuality theme to it I didn't like.

This is a bad movie. It's suppose to be one of those raunchy comedies and it really isn't. If you want to go see a good tacky raunchy comedy, go pick up Animal House, American Pie, or Porky's. Don't waste you money on trash like this.

Summary: A huge waste of any one's time
Review: **BIG WARNING ABOUT THE DVD!!**
If you have children or family members you usually watch films with, do not watch the DVD with them. Why? The title menu has three topless women sunbathing. That's it. Great title menu huh?

Despite this un-auspicious beginning, I was willing to give this movie a shot...but the only shot I got was this movie's stupidity going to my brain.

Cuba Gooding (who is a great actor that finds himself in awful movies...a lot)and Horatio Sanz are in need of romantic recovery and sexual drive, so they book a cruise liner. Sadly, by the time they get on they realize its a gay cruise (they can't read the large letters by the side of the stairs that say "Gay Cruise").

Things go from bad to worse as the same homosexual stereotypes are used over and over again. Homosexuals are basically that in this movie: stereotypes. Even the four guys Horatio Sanz makes friends with are too poorly developed to be real characters. Things go from worse to awful when a lifeboat is picked up by the ship. And get ready for this: there's a Swedish bikini team on it. And get ready for this: they have no other clothes but their swimsuits. And of course they all want to have sex with Horatio Sanz, because he's on the tip of every woman's tongue when it comes to orgasms.

Things finally come full sucking when lil' Cuba gets a romantic interest with the dance instructor on the boat, who cavorts in see-through outfits and skimpy dresses (she doesn't like men hitting on her). It becomes nothing but the old romance formula, they get together, break up, get back together in the end, blah blah blah...

This is basically a big dumb movie. A lot of tasteless humor done by people I would never want to see do tasteless humor. Don't watch it. Please.

Summary: Sucked
Review: This movie sucked. It wasn't funny at all. Cuba Gooding Jr.....man what are doing?!! You're killing your career man! The only bright spot on this movie was Rosalyn Sanchez, but even she couldn't save this movie. Two straight guys on a gay cruise sounded like it was going to be hilarious. Once I put the movie end I was waiting for it to be over. Please don't rent this movie. The only difference between the R-rated version and the unrated version is topless sunbathers. Whoopie. I can't even begin to contain my joy. Not!! I realize this movie was probably created to shed some light on the gay lifestyle and all that, but I'll pass. I already know that gays are people who have a heart and feelings. Staring at men walking down steps with their butts hanging out is just not my idea of a good time. Pass on this movie, please. You'll thank me

Summary: Awful
Review: What happens when a recently dumped straight man and his oafish best friend accidently find themselves on a gay cruise? A big mess. "Boat Trip" is one of the worst films I've ever seen. Filled with crude sexual humor and goofy sight gags, "Boat Trip" is rarely funny and often offensive. Apparently, the makers of this film were trying to cash in on the recent explosion of gay culture in the media, but after watching this film I have a funny feeling that the writers have never even met an actual gay person. Tired and ridiculous stereotypes are all this film really has to offer. Charming Cuba Gooding Jr. and sexy 'n sassy Vivca A. Fox should fire their agents immediately.

Summary: OUCH...
Review: This movie was so bad it hurts...I watched it because like another reviewer, I was waiting for some redeeming quality. Welp, there was none, outside of laughing out loud three times and counting the 'funny' every time I did, a sure sign that the movie wasn't working.

I know good actors sometimes makes bad movies, but I'm suprised the participants allowed the movie to even be released. The unrated version came off as desperate, offensive and not nearly as funny "Porkys". Really, really, bad. Ouch...

Summary: Funny
Review: The comedy in this film wasn't really that great, the funny bits were mostly one liners and the plot wasn't too deep. After buying and watching the DVD I must say it didn't live up to the expectations I had to begin with but it was funny in it's own way.

It's a movie that can make anyone laugh, regardless of what your comedic preferences are, and so I give this 3 stars, its a fun movie and anyone who likes movies will find this worth watching.

Summary: Great idea however didn't deliver the goods.
Review: I enjoyed this film for what it offered and found the comedy fairly amusing for the most part. This would be an OK date movie. It addresses discrimination, but in a funny way that makes it acceptable and easy to take without being too heavy. Some of the humor was in line with slap stick ( no pun intended ) and I will admit it had some fairly funny scene's. I enjoy Cuba Gooding Jr. in many of his films however this was not one of his better works. The story had promise but failed to deliver in the end ( no pun intended ). I recommend you rent it first and then make the call on buying. This has adult subject matter and would be in questionable taste to show to mixed crowds. Not one of my better purchases.

Summary: Oh ... My ... God ...
Review: Wow! This movie is something - I'm not sure what, but it is something. Gay men, straight men, and women are all stereotyped and lampooned - but it is never funny. At the same time, it is never really offensive either. Some raunchy, supposedly comedic sex and nudity scenes are neither really comedic nor sexy. Even in that teenage-boy-wants-to-see-some-boobs way. It is so weird.

I can't even really describe how awful it is, but I couldn't turn it offer either because I had to keep watching to somehow justify it's existence. Why did Cuba Gooding do this? Has Roger Moore blown through all his cash? With all the scripts floating around, who read this and said - yes, this is the one, let's make it!

I haven't asked myself so many questions since Philosophy 101.
