Summary: An Awesome Movie!
Review: This was the best movie I've seen in over 10 years. It was really funny and light-hearted. The plot was a little predictable, but the chemistry between strong the characterizations keep me interested. They were hilarious! Many movies these days have simply dull acting styles because they are attempting to be "realistic." WHAT A GIRL WANTS utilizes the perfect concentration in the characterizations to create believable, hilarious scenes.

Summary: Really Enjoyed It
Review: When I saw the previews for this movie, I knew it would be a movie that I would enjoy. Amanda Bynes stars in WHAT A GIRL WANTS, with Colin Firth. She plays Daphne, the daughter of Henry and her mother, played by Kelly Preston. Her father and mother were seperated, when one of his assistants told her to leave, he thought she left him, she thought he wanted her to leave. She was pregnant with Daphne, and every year Daphne would wish for her father to return, only he did not know he has a daughter. She goes to London to find him, and ultimately, finds herself. There is a lot of humor here, and Firth and Bynes have a lot of chemistry together which is the true treat of the movie. Henry is a politician, and it is awkward at first between him and his daughter. She causes a little ruckus at a few important events before he tells her she needs to abide by certain rules. At this point she has been interested in a young man named Ian, who encourages her to be herself, telling her she was born to stand out. In the end Henry and Daphne's mother learn of the complication, and fall in love again, and get married. Daphne gets back together with Ian (who had left her because she was being proper and unlike herself) and they started dating. The movie was cute and humorous, great music, and also very touching. Overall I was pleased with this movie!

Review: I say it is a must have for my DVD collection. Miss Amanda was a blast and the story was wonderful. I convinced my mother to watch the movie, she doesn't go to the movies, but she did go and cried. Miss Amanda, if you read this you made my mother cry which is a rare thing to see. She wants the movie when it is on DVD. It is a must see!

Summary: The Best Comedy/Romace Film For Kids Ever!!
Review: This is really the best movie. At some times it will make you want to cry and at others laugh. Altough this is a little bit about romance and things about separtion from parents it is for everyone, my brother really surprised me when he said it was the best movie ever seen and he is a boy only 6!! Right after you read this review you should go straight to the movies and buy a ticket to see What A girl Wants. ENJOY!

Summary: One of the best movies I've seen in a long time!!
Review: Like my title says, this movie was one of the best i've seen in a while. It had just the right amount of everything to make a movie good, especially for the younger viewers. Well, I don't really have much to say other than everyone should go see it. All ages will love it. I have already seen it in the theatre once and am planning to go this weekend to see it again with a friend.

Review: Sorry to say this movie wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I enjoy watching "The Amanda Show" on Nickeldeon with my 8 year old daughter and think Amanda Bynes is a good actress. The story was o.k. and predictable.
My 8 year old daughter wasn't too interested in the movie. She seemed bored.

Review: I saw this movie two days ago. It was awsome. I even liked the part when Ian and Henry went to New York City. My other favorite part is when Daphne threw the kid in the water. It was all about London. I went there on the 9th of April. It was even right near the Hotel where I stayed. So my mom decided to see this movie with me and my sister, because it was all about London. There was Big Ben, The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and the Changing of the Guards. This Movie is really awsome. You should see it. Even though if you went to London. It's about a girl who never had seen her father in her whole entire life. This 21st century Cinderella starts for a sad girl's sad life.

Review: I thought this was a really cute movie. Although it's defiantly predictable, the cast of well known actors and actresses makes this a great feel good film. The story line follows a girl named Daphne Reynolds (Amanda Bynes) who is in search of her father Lord Henry Dashwood (Colin Firth). From her home in the laid-back streets of China Town, Daphne soon sees the stark contrast between home and London society. If you have an afternoon free this is defiantly a fun romantic comedy to see.

Review: Amanda Bynes is on the road to movie stardom, and she proves that with her first starring role in "What a Girl Wants," a horrendously titled, but sweet, good-natured take on the "Pygmalion" story.Seventeen year old Daphne Reynolds (Bynes) has been raised in New York City by her mother (Kelly Preston), a professional singer. Waiting for her birth father (yummy Colin Firth) to show up during every single birthday party, she finally gets fed up and decides tto go find him herself. She packs her bags, leaves her mother a message on the answering machine, and travels to London, where daddy dearest is part of a very hoity-toity British aristocratic social circle. Once she gets there, however, it doesn't take long before her hip American lifestyle disrupts his entire life, and might ruin his chances at winning a political campaign. Can she find a balance in the relationship between her two parents, find her own piece of mind, and along the way, possibly fall in love as well? Perhaps most importantly, does she have a chance at being the Debutante of the Year? And what's a Cinderella story without the father's wicked fiancée and her evil daughter trying to keep our Yankee Eliza Doolittle down. It all makes for an entertaining tale any young girl will love. In one of the best scenes of the film, wicked stepmother tries to ruin our young heroine's dreams, when her real mother bravely steps in. "Take your hands off my daughter," she tells the manipulative shrew before her. "You don't want to cause a scene," the shrew replies, to which mommy dearest manages a brillian comeback. "Oh honey, if you don't take your hands off my daughter, you'll get more than a scene, you'll get a Broadway musical." It's moments like this that make the predictable tale so worthwhile. This lively little fairy tale revels in its star's funky individuality, doesn't condescend to its audience and as implausible as it may be, manages to be genuinely charming and engaging. It's not the best take on "Pygmalion," but it sure as hell is one of the most entertaining thanks in part to Byne's winning personality. And don't forget those really, really cute clothes.
