Rating: Summary: I've seen worse sequels Review: "Caddyshack 2" might not be one of the best sequels ever made, but I didn't think it was as bad as a lot of people seem to think it was. I thought parts of it such as the waterslide prank and the gopher playing its dirty tricks was hilarious. But I do agree that it's not a classic like the original was and that it's not as funny because it doesn't feature the hilarious cast that the original had. But it's not all that bad of a sequel in my opinion. I've seen much worse. If you liked the original "Caddyshack" movie, I would recommend at least watching "Caddyshack 2."
Rating: Summary: Maybe the worst sequel ever made Review: And its got some serious competition in that dept.. Low brow doesn't go far enough. This isn't a film so much as a method of torture. I was on a bus when someone stuck this in the cassette player and it became one of the longest trips of my life. Wearisome, cornball, primetimesque, it had everything but a laugh track. Theres comedy and there's silly. This film falls into the latter category by a wide margin in my opinion.
Rating: Summary: Not the worst movie of all time, as some would suggest... Review: but still pretty bad. As others have pointed out, Jackie Mason is the only reason to see this movie. The rest of the movie falls flat. Still worth sitting through once, just to enjoy Mason. His years of being blacklisted really deprived us. The other comment I wanted to make is that most people miss out on a great joke -- Jackie Mason's character in Caddyshack II is the same character he plays in The Jerk.

Rating: Summary: The Gopher made it worth watching Review: Caddyshack 2 is such a bad movie. The funny little gopher was funny to watch but everything else was horrible. This movie is full of senior actors and this has to be all of their worst work. Robert Stack is somewhat funny but not near of what he was like in Airplane. The worst has to be Dan Aykroyd he is an absolute terrible addition to the movie. He is a pretty good actor but I could not believe he acted this way in this movie. His role is so annoying and he sounds terrible and unfunny. This movie is an embarrasing mess to watch. Brace yourself for Dan Aykroyd though he is at his worst at a time where he was at the heat of his acting career.
Rating: Summary: A classic comedy of the 80s with help from Jackie Mason Review: Caddyshack 2, has never gained as much respect in comparison to the highly acclaimed Caddyshack 1, starring Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield. However, I strongly feel that this sequel has broken through all barriers of poor sequels in the past. The hilarious comedy has captivated the true cult era of the 80's, and the relaxed layed back manner of all the cast in the fresh surroundings of Bushwood Country Club, gives the perfect atmosphere for all viewers. Jackie Mason (Comedian) is simply all class, with his mumbling jewish accent. He is portrayed as a rich man who lives in what he thinks is style. When he attempts to join Bushwood, he is faced with extreme predjudice. I feel that this has one of the best casts since "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" Any questions...give me an e-mail! Cast includes: Jackie Mason, Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd, Robert Stack, Dyan Cannon, Jonothan Silverman, Chynna Phillips and Randy Quaid By David Gwurve
Rating: Summary: No Redeeming Qualities Whatsoever Review: Caddyshack II is not only the worst movie sequel of all time, it may well be the worst movie of all time, period. I realize that there are far worse movies in terms of script, acting, cinematography, etc. However, most of those movies are in the B-movie category. Caddyshack II is in the A-movie category and, as such, should at least be watchable, which it is not. Caddyshack II is worse than a cheap immitation of Caddyshack. It would have been excusable if they had tried to copy the original. Instead they made a movie which was wholely antithetic to what the original movie was about. Instead of making an anti-movie, which is what Caddyshack was, they decided to make a cheesey and very predictable bore, which was an example of the worst excesses of the schlock sentimentality movie making of the 80s. Some people like to believe that Jackie Mason was at least a good point of the movie. No, in fact, he was the worst part of it. It is the glaring contrast between he and Rodney Dangerfield from the first movie that puts this movie in its rightful light, as a dreadful piece of mush. Well, I guess I've gone on long enough about how bad this movie is. If you are thinking about ever watching this movie, don't. Save yourself the regret of having wasted any part of your life having watched this monstrosity.
Rating: Summary: Rodney , where are you when we need ya Review: Caddyshack II is one of those sequals that would have been an ok movie had it been made under a seperate title . although after watching it through the years , i find it's nt as bad as reviewed, still cannot hold a candle to the original. Here's some brief history on this film. Originally it was to have starred Rodney Dangerfield, Sam Kininson, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray. after dangerfield read the script he and Kinison offered to do some rewrites and were refused. Thus leaving the production altogether. Murray for whatever hos reasons were chose not to appear in the film at all, Chase became the only returning cast member of the original (albiet only in a cameo role ) but he does remind one of how good the original was. So the producers chose the following replacements ; Jackie Mason 9 The Rodney Dangerfield Role) self made millionaire Rich Slob, Randy Quaid ( The role of mason's lawyer originally inteneded for Sam Kinison) and Dan Ackroyed ( The Bill Murray role ) all three do actually play differant characters than of those in the original , and i have to admit that Mason and Quaid are both quiet likable and good in their roles. The plot is the same as before with a rich snob trying to join Bushwwod CC. Robert Stack is the villian of the piece ( Ted Knight in the original ) Mr Knight has passed away prior to production. all in all not the worst sequal ever made , and Chases' brief apperances do liven things up a bit when he's on screen ( but not much ) but it certainly isn't the best. you be your own judge .
Rating: Summary: Horrible horrible sequel.. Review: Caddyshack is one of the comedy classics of the last 25 years. It's become a huge cult hit and rightly so. Sadly the sequel is, to put it bluntly, a waste of film. It's one of the most mindless, unfunny, useless mvies to come out of the 80's. Even when I was 14 and first saw this I couldn't stand it and at that point I considered the dirtbike kid to be touching drama. 9 years later I still can not believe this waste of a movie ever got made in the first place. Please skip this movie at all costs and pick something else, anything else. It can NOT be worse than this...
