Rating: Summary: Hmmmm....... Review: Since this movie is supposed to be dumb I guess it's kind of dumb for me to say how dumb this movie is. So I won't. What I will say is Tom Green isn't half as "abstract" or "surreal" as he thinks he is. He's just dumb.
Rating: Summary: MOVIE ... Review: This movie has to be the worst movie I have ever seen. Tom Green is usually funny, but this movie isn't even remotely funny. Save your time and money.
Rating: Summary: Can a movie really be any worse? Review: Good Zeus in Heaven, please hit Tom with a lightning bolt before he makes another movie. Sure, I can sympathize that [he] got testicular cancer and showed the world his surgery, but enough brownie points. At this point I expect Tom to make a movie that is A) amusing B) interesting rather than a movie where he plays sick horse and elephant mating games. Tom, go find a new career.....
Rating: Summary: "Look at my hooooooves". Review: I am not really a fan of gross-out humour. In fact, I refuse to see American Pie simply on the grounds of it looking disgusting. And I really wish that Tom Green didn't go overboard with sick jokes because it wasn't necessary. There are some scenes that are stupid, but still stay within the boundaries of good taste, and so the gross stuff was not needed. That said, I appreciated this movie for the silly humor that remained decent. One of the best scenes is the cartoon Green (Gordy) makes of a family of zebras that represent his family. It is hilarious. For the longest time, my dad and I would randomly say "Look at my hoooves, my hooves." So it is easy to forget that the movie is seldom tasteful, not to mention that the title refers to about two minutes of the film that is not even relevant to the overall plot. It is not recommended for anyone under eighteen, though, I know young kids will probably watch it anyway and perhaps that is pretty much the only audience the movie will appeal to.
Rating: Summary: Freddy Got Fingered--- A Matter of Taste Review: When Freddy Got Fingered came out in the theater, I did not stop laughing throughout the whole movie. I went back to the theater to see it twice after that, and still did not stop laughing. Tom Green stars as Gord, a grown man still living in his parents' basement. He embarks on a mission to make his drawings into a cartoon by taking them to a cartoon studio in Hollywood. I was very surprised when a few of my friends told me they didn't like it. I suppose you have to have a special appreciation for a grown man acting completely senseless. Come on, it would be kinda funny if a 10-year-old kid put his clothes on backwards and walked backwards singing, "I'm the backwards man, the backwards man..." but watch a 30-year old man do it, and it's 10 times funnier. Yes, it's completely stupid. But isn't stupid funny? It's not every day you see an adult accuse his father of molesting his 25-year-old brother and then jump out of a window, or run around in the middle of the road wearing a deer carcus. Tom Green is hilarious in "Freddy Got Fingered," and you'll love watching him drive his already eccentric father insane. His crippled- nymphomaniac girlfriend Betty is another hilarious addition to the movie. You'll laugh until you cry... and if you don't, just take a minute to appreciate the raw spirit of goofiness.
Rating: Summary: Is there anything lower than 1 star? Review: Quite frankly, this is the worst movie I have ever seen. There is no plot, and the jokes and gags just aren't funny. They're totally unrelated to what is going on in the movie. It's basically just a stream of Tom Green's sexual (both human and animal) fantasies along with other just plain disgusting things that Tom Green thinks are funny, all very loosely tied to a plot that goes about as deep as a kiddie pool.
Rating: Summary: oh the humanity! Review: Somewhere Ed Wood is weeping. That's just how bad this movie is. It's not funny. It's not clever. It's not sweetly goofy in a grade Z movie sort of way. In fact, it's not even coherent. Save your money and pass this little horror by.
Rating: Summary: A Very Funny Movie Review: While at a friend's house, we popped in Freddy Got Fingered and, from the reviews I'd read, I expected it to be one long, sick, hard to watch piece of drivel. Instead I found a brilliant movie that just happens to be loaded with lots of DISGUSTING humor. The story follows Gord Brody (Tom Green) as he attempts to live out his dream and become a real animator. He heads to Hollywood, gets rejected, and then heads home, only to be screamed and yelled at by his psychotic father, who can't put up with the idiotic Gord. His mom is sweet and loving and keeps trying to calm the father down, but he has problems and won't listen. Hilarity soon ensues, as Gord accuses his father of molesting his brother Freddy (Eddie Kaye Thomas from American Pie), and heads back to Hollywood to attempt his dream once more. The movie is pretty filled with sick stuff, but I actually felt it out of place, because this movie is pretty funny, and the crude humor seems more like an afterthought. I did not mind any of the gross out humor, and scenes I'd thought would be quite filthy and disturbing actually turned out to be laugh out loud funny. Still, there were a few things I didn't like. I thought it was sad that a little kid (propably 8) kept getting badly injured. At one point, he runs into Gord's car and is left with a very bloody face. Next, a glass bottle crashes intop his face, and he also gets hit with a baseball (a tooth goes through his lip!). Finally (SPOILER!) he is chopped up in a propeller blade! That's pretty sick and wrong. Aside from that, the movie wasn't that offensive (criticts, lighten up!) and it only proves why criticts should never be trusted. Go rent this movie toady.
Rating: Summary: A response to "All part of Tom's plan......" Review: Well, sounds like that ol' Tom Green tricked me. I (among literally BILLIONS of people who loathed this "movie" with every fibre of their being) actually thought he was trying to make a good movie and failed on every level possible, but he actually WANTED to make the worst and most universally denounced movie ever. Well, he's a...genius! He has, like, sooooo much integrity! It actually WAS his goal to make the worst movie of all time, and boy, did he acheive it! I have so much more respect for him now! It takes a lot of guts to make a movie like this! Tom Green is now my God, and I will soon begin a new religion devoted to him. All the pimply-faced 13-year-old kids who can't get enough of him or this true comedic masterpiece will join me as well. Every Sunday we will get together and worship him and watch this movie and his show over and over again and laugh at all those...mainstreamers who don't "get" Tom's brilliant sense of humor. This film is like the next 2001: A Space Odyssey!
