Summary: Strange...but good.
Review: Before watching this movie I thought Heather Graham and casey Affleck - thats got to be good...and it was. I expected it to be better in the sense that the story could have been more in depth and it needed to flow faster. Aside from that the cast were great - watch out for Goran(ER) as the guy who sits with Heather Grahams character while she watches her husband - its hilarious.

Committed tackles the issue's of marriage and painful break-ups but with a comedic style that really works.

This movie is really good....but I'd only really recommend it if you like Heather Graham or Casey Affleck, otherwise pick it up at your rental store or catch it on TV.

Summary: Silly
Review: Committed is totally a late 80s throwback movie. Substitute Rosanna Arquette or the chick who played the lead in Valley Girl, switch up the soundtrack from Calexico to X and you get my drift.

That being said, the movie is not hardly as offensively bad as I expected it ot be. Heather Grahame is actually very enjoyable to watch, which is a good thing, since a)her performance distracts you from focusing on the unavoidable fact that the plot is completely and naggingly implausible AND b)by far, her character has the most screen time.

Her rabbitty features (big eyes, delicate chin and thin hair) usually annoy me, but they actually helped draw me in, this time- although I did keep on wondering how she kept her hair so perfectly touseled-yet-not frizzy, despite the fact that her character was living out of a rental car in the desert for several weeks (those damned plot holes!).

With the exception of Luke Wilson's twitchy and unconvincing performance, the supporting cast was great. Teen movie queen on the low, Rain Phoenix, was underutilized as usual, but Casey Affleck's performance as the cutieboy slacker brother was a show stealer.

PS: look for the major continuity error- when she's leaving the club her pants are red vinyl, when she gives the homeless man money, her pants are black and when she gets into her apartment, they're red vinyl again. haha.

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: Heather Graham is a turly great actress, she brought this charm and charisma to the character of Joline that could have just been some other annoying, obbsesive pyscho stalker. THe movie is hilarious and super cute!!! Too bad its incerdibly hard to find!

Summary: Heather at her best
Review: Heather Graham's character's husband disappears and she goes
looking for him. In her escapades just when it looks like she
is stranded, she gets back at those who victimize her, in a
way that will split your gut. This has the spanish beauty from
"mummy returns" and the croatian doc from "ER" who are both
great. The movie also has some native american mysticism as
Heather tries to protect her husband. This is a great quirky
or funny movie. I wish I could have seen this in the theater. I
decided to purchase this after I saw it on "stars" cable TV.

Summary: Upbeat
Review: I don't tend to like romantic comedies but this one was different. Heather Graham plays Jolie a night club owner who never fails to keep her promises. When her husband asks for leaves her, Jolie starts to go to great lengths to convince him that she still loves him.

What really makes this film work is the character of Jolie. Some romantic comedies stretch creditably to the limit to ensure a happy ending. In "Committed" it is the fact that main character sees everything in such a positive light, despite what is happening to her, that makes it refreshing upbeat. Jolie is a wonderfully, engaging, proactive character and I haven't watched such a loveable character in long time.

"Committed" is a great little film.

Summary: good movie
Review: I enjoyed this movie very much... especially because there was no way we could guess what she would do next. I'm the kind of person that likes to have to figure out a movie. Plus I loved Heather's hair do's. I didn't think her clothes really fit the texas area either. If you like movies that don't have too much action and suspense then you'll like this, It's a very good psychological movie according to me.

Summary: Refreshingly offbeat!
Review: I need somebody to explain to me why uninteresting, predictable, so-called "romantic comedies" like "Runaway Bride" are successful, and a movie like this can't find an audience. Admittedly, Heather Graham's past performances have been nothing to write home about, but she blossoms in this role a young woman who's genuinely trying to figure out her life. Graham is hugely appealing and shows real comic timing. The script is great, the supporting cast (including Casey Affleck, Goran Visjnic, and Patricia Velasquez) is talented and funny, and, perhaps most delightful, the film is unpredictable--unlike a lot of more mainstream movies, you honestly can't tell what's going to happen until it does. I see "Committed" as the more offbeat, intellectual, American version of "Bridget Jones's Diary" (which I also enjoyed), and I recommend it to everyone in the mood for something different and refreshing.
