Summary: A Classic comedy
Review: This film was a great comedy in its own right. It teams up Eddie Murphy & Steve Martin for the first time, and I'm sure not for the last. Martin plays his typical likeable part, this time as a B-film maker, and Murphy as Hollywood's hottest action heroes, and also his not so successful brother. Murphy is brilliant in both of his roles and steals the show, playing his best part since The Nutty Professor. The film is worth watching for the simple insane looks Murphy gives as his core character of Kit Ramsy, who believe that aliens are actually following him. To add to the film, Martins character decides to make a film (which Kit Ramsy does not know about), where aliens are in fact following Murphy, the results will make you laugh out loud. A very, very funny film, only American Pie made me laugh harder in 1999. The DVD has plenty of worthwhile extras, including commentary by director Frank Oz, and deleted scenes. As well has being a great film, a truly great DVD.

Review: Steve Martin are funny again. With Eddie Murphy too, this one is a real treat. Even the dog in the movie, is an exellent "method actor". The story of Bowfinger, a struggling director, which hope for sucsess is something which we can identified with. And Frank Oz commentary track on the DVD is a mini filmschool in itself. Weel worth the money. Should been a classic !!!.

Review: wen i saw this film i wasn't expectin anythin good because recent Eddie Murphy fims haven't been as good as his old films due to his most recent films being for little kids n most little kids even laugh at them.
Anyway this film is suprisingly good with a good plot, the actors used well and some great comedy such as Bowfinger (steve Martin) making Jiff Ramsey (eddie murphy) a soon to be a star geek and brother of action superstar kit ramsey ( also played by murphy) run across a main road of heavy traffic and speading cars with no safety helmet on just to get a scene in his low budget fim chubby rain, of course jiff thinks the drivers in these cars are stunt men no there not there just peaple driving.
The film plot is about bowfinger the worst director of all time trying to make a film with kit ramsey the greatest action star of all time. Of corse kit being the nice man he is says no n chucks him out of his car.So how can you get kit in the film? you dont need to when he has a twin brother jiff who is willing to be a star. Funny plot great character and of corse heather graham make this film class.
We all will like this film and when i say we i mean me.

Review: Bowfinger is a freakin awesome movie. I knew it would be funny because Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy are in it & I was right, I was freakin' right. Its about a independent movie company that wants to make a movie called Chubby Rain and they want a guy in it that doesnt want to be in it. So they film it with him in it without him knowing. The acting is superp, splendid, spectacular and its really perfect.If you like Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin you must buy 10 copies of thsi dvd, keep one and give 9 away as presents. Its a the best way you can possibly spend your Time. Great charachter actors, everyone really plays thier part to make this one of the greatest films of all time!!!

Review: Bowfinger is a horrible movie. I thought it would be funny because Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy are in it but I was wrong. Its about a independent movie company that wants to make a movie called Chubby Rain and they want a guy in it that doesnt want to. So they film it with him in it and he doesnt know. The acting is bad and its really fake. Even if you like Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin dont even rent this movie for free. Its a waist of Time.

Review: Bowfinger is the perfect inspirational movie for any starving artist -- because it's all about lying, cheating, stealing, conning, blackmailing, and sleeping your way to the top. Steve Martin stars as Bobby Bowfinger, a down-and-out filmmaker who's about to call it quits until he finds the perfect screenplay (it's a sci-fi film called Chubby Rain). Suddenly, the only thing standing between Bowfinger and a major Hollywood deal is signing Kit Ramsey (Eddie Murphy) to star. When Kit throws Bowfinger (and his script) out of his limo, Bowfinger decides that Kit's definitely going to be in the movie -- whether he knows it or not. Without being totally honest with his other cast and crewmembers about Kit's involvement, Bowfinger begins filming around an unknowing star, following him to restaurants, to his tailor, and to his home. Thus Bowfinger begins creating his masterpiece with a cast of has-beens and hopefuls (including Heather Graham, who plays a wannabe actress who will do anything to be a star, and Eddie Murphy, who plays Kit's body double) and his crew of illegal aliens. Meanwhile, paranoid Kit is starting to think that there really are aliens after him... Bowfinger has Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, and...Eddie Murphy. What more can any laugh-seeker ask for? Martin's knack for screenwriting -- and a perfectly-hilarious cast -- make this movie a frequently-played part of my collection.
