Rating: Summary: Good, Fun, Movie Review: This was an enjoyable movie. It's about losing a love and having to get over it. But the main character Berke ( Ben Foster) just can't accept it! So he follows her into the high school play (umm he has no acting abilities lol) and tries DESPERATELY to get her back.. But she's found another love. (Shane West). After almost making a fool of himself he gets help from Kirsten Dunst who plays Berekes' best friends little sister. But what happenes when those two get together? Sparks maybe? :-) It's a comedy you'll be sure to enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Tommy O'haver rules! Review: A great teen comedy, beats me. An enjoyable follow up to BILLY'S HOLLYWOOD SCREEN KSS, for Tommy O'haver, definitely.
Rating: Summary: John Hughes Light Review: As someone who has not been a teenager for close to twenty years, I have to say I was quite surprised at how much I liked "Get Over It." It is one of the few movies in recent memory that I would compare to the films of John Hughes (Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, etc...) The teen characters in "Get Over It, " like the charaters in most of Hughes' teen comedies, are far more sharp-tounged and quick-witted than their real life counterparts are at that age. And, in true John Hughes fashion, the teaching profession is the butt of many jokes. In fact, Martin Short's drama teacher is right up there with "Ferris Bueller's" Ed Rooney and "The Breakfast Club's" clue-free high school principal as one of the funniest portrayals of and educator I have ever seen on film. Director Tommy O'Haver has also made a film that is visually so, well, Tommy O' Haver. As in his debut feature "Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss, O'Haver has a great way of using color to make average looking sets look great. O'Haver also pulled of something I have never seen a director do--he made a film shot in Canada not look like a film shot in Canada. Growing up in Detroit I have been exposed to all things Canada my entire life. As a result, I can spot a film shot in Canada in a second. I can't explain it, but those who grew up in a similar environment will know exactly what I mean.
Rating: Summary: Very Entertaining Review: I thought this movie was going to be garbage, but it was actually quite entertaining. I laughed quite a bit. Sisquo wasn't too bad. His character was somewhat goofy. Kirsten Dunst has a really nice singing voice...I think that was her voice. Cool Movie...Very Entertaining.
Rating: Summary: Get Past It Review: I have no doubt that Kirsten Dunst can carry a movie. I have no doubt that Colin Hanks will become a star. I have no doubt that a movie featuring Sisquo could be fun. I have no doubt that you should pass on this film, even if you are just renting it. Yeah, Kirsten does look hot in this film (as does Kylie Bax and Carmen Electra), but that does not make up for the void left by their male counterparts. Sisquo and Colin Hanks try (while "leading man" Ben Foster does not even register) but they can't get out from under this junk. Not even the manic presence of Martin Short as a flamboyant high school drama teacher helps. Seriously, the 1 star is because of how good the women look, and that's it. The Sisquo video during the credits shows 1000 times more bounce, fun, pop than the entire film!
Rating: Summary: Filled with tons of talented young stars! Review: This is a cute movie and I really enjoyed it!I thought Kirsten Dunst was great at acting, and Sisqo did a great job for his first film.Other actors such a cutie pies Shane West & Chris Jacot did a great job too, and they are both very talented!Over all I really like this movie ... I recommened you rent it first instead of buying it!Loved it!
Rating: Summary: I Will Never Review: I found this movie thouroughly entertaining. Kirsten Dunst lights up the screen (as usual)and has great chemistry with all the other actors. Not a new story (and that may be the point of the movie since one of Shakespeare's plays is at the heart of it).. Boy (Burke) gets dumped... tries to win her (Allison) back... Girl (Kelley) is little sister of best friend who is hot & interested... Boy and Girl get tangled together through series of events... Boy and Girl eventually get together. The "series of events" includes the preparation for the school play, in which all the main characters are involved. The biggest scene stealer by far is Martin Short, with his portrayel of the flamboyant drama school teacher.... The scenes of the play are wonderfully executed and fun to watch. Kelley's (Kirsten Dunst) solo song is jaw-dropping. Despite a few slow moments (including the very attractive but clumsy foreign girl) the movie keeps pace. The opening and closing scenes have "music videos" including Vitamin C lipsyncing.... Check it out!
Rating: Summary: HORRIBLE! Review: I did not like this movie! This is not KIRSTEN DUNST AT HER BEST.THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THIS 2 STARS IS BECAUSE IT WAS FUNNY AT SOME POINTS AND KIRSTEN DUNST WAS IN IT.IF YOU WANT A GOOD KIRSTEN DUNST MOVIE,TRY DICK.
Rating: Summary: Getting Over The Greatness Review: This DVD is great. The film is presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen with almost no errors, a clear transfer. The sound is pretty good too. As for the features, there are tons of them. They include an audio commentary, deleted & extended scenes (with optional commentary, most of them were changed in the film for PG-13 reasons), original songs (listen to the ones from the film), sneak peaks (trailers for other movies which Freddie Prinze Jr. stars mostly in), videos (LOVE SCUD from the film & THE ITCH by Vitamin C), behind the scenes featurette, Martin Short Outtakes (more than 5 minutes), Martin Short makeup test and a French language track. If you enjoyed this movie, it's worth getting this DVD.
Rating: Summary: I like Kirsten Dunst, but.... Review: I tried very hard to like this movie. Kirsten is great but i hated this movie. There was nothing special about it. It's one of the worst teen movies i've seen. Try crazy/beautiful. This movie ...
