Summary: Don't take it serious or expect a lot...but good light fun
Review: It might be the timing when it came out or maybe I relate with something but I really enjoy watching this. I have seen it several times and I'll watch it again. I guess it is unrealistic but it is fun to watch and Jon Cryer and the others in the cast are likeable. As far as a well made film....well I guess it gets few stars but fun to watch? Well for me I give it 4 stars. So I average it and give it 3 here.

Review: Once upon a time their were some very interesting movies made. This was during the 1980s. Some directors had some interesting ideas about showing how high school can have quirky moments and be educational sometimes but also give life lessons that will help down the road. Even the teachers have political viewpoints, not just parents. Maybe not anymore. After all that wouldn't be politically correct any more to talk about that in class. I feel sorry for students today, so many things are not allowed I don't know how they can learn anything about life and having a personality. Well back to this movie. It is Jon Cryer's best from all his movies that I have seen. Funny and suspenseful with some love thrown in for romantics. Cryer is a stock broker, Andrew Morenski, that finds himself on the run from hitmen. He hides out with a nephew and finds that being high school student, Max Hauser, is a good cover. Cryer is excellent and the rest the supporting cast are great as well. Any fan of movies like "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Breakfast Club" should love it.

Review: Sure I wasn't really old enough to see any of the great 80's flicks when they first were released but I've seen 'em all lately and 'Hiding Out' is BY FAR my fav! I was totally head over heels obsessed with Jon Cryer after seeing 'Pretty in Pink' but when I was convinced to watch the movie 'Hiding Out' on TBS, I instantly knew it was a GREAT one!! IT NEEDS TO BE RE-RELEASED, Does anyone realize how FUNNY that movie is! I was DYING of laughter it was so funny! Gosh I luv Jon Cryer.. RE-RELEASE 'HIDING OUT' SOON!! Or else I'll go mad!!

Review: This is my favorite Jon Cryer movie. I love the transformation he makes in the movie. Did you know that the person acting as his aunt in the movie is his mom in real life? Take a look at it... you might like it! I did and I'm trying to get some more Jon Cryer movies to add to my collection.

Review: To begin with this a great movie I would have to say that it was funny. Great entertainment for everyone. Movie makers just don't make them like this anymore. if enough people have not complained yet for this movie to be brought back. Well, they need to. Starting with me. BRING IT BACK. Now, back to how great this movie is. I enjoyed the movie most beacause it was like many movies i've seen. It had something very different to what people normal seen. Untamed and unusual. Cryer was handsome and a gas. The best part was when Cryer and the girl were at the skate place. Truly, a moment. 3/30/99 age: 18
