Summary: Watchable for Witherspoon
Review: It's rarely a good sign when a movie is released straight to video, but it's infinitely worse when the main character's name just happens to be...Wyatt Trips (only in the movies, my friends, only in the movies).

An appealing cast is mostly wasted in this entertaining, but lightweight and predictable bit of fluff. Paul Rudd, who has done fine work elsewhere (Clueless, The Object of My Affection) is way over-the-top way too often and should have been hemmed in more by director Jason Bloom (Bio-Dome). Rudd plays Trips, a college student who sends his old high school sweetheart a hate note when he finds out she's been cheating on him. When she manages to convince him otherwise, he decides to intercept the letter, which just happens to have been sent--are you sitting down?--by overnight delivery.

Christine Taylor (The Brady Bunch Movie) as Trips' girlfriend Kimberly and the always-watchable Reese Witherspoon as Ivy, a fellow student (and exotic dancer) who offers to drive Trips cross-country to Kimberly's college, emerge relatively unscathed. In Taylor's case, it's because she only appears at the beginning and the end of the movie; in Witherspoon's, it's because her character is simply a lot less silly (and more believable) than Rudd's--although she does perform a striptease and engage in a couple of other fairly demeaning acts.

More than anything, Overnight Delivery resembles one of those John Cusack vehicles from the 1980s like The Sure Thing or Say Anything. If you've already seen those movies (along with John Hughes' entire output from the same era) and if you're a really big Reese Witherspoon fan...well, it may just keep you mildly entertained for 87 minutes. And that's more than can be said for some romantic comedies--especially those overly complicated two-hour affairs that really only have 87 minutes worth of story to tell. Plus, you'll get to see what Witherspoon looks like with short dark hair: Robin Tunney (The Craft).

Summary: The actors make this one great!
Review: Let's just forget that "Road Trip" completely ripped-off this film and focus on the fact that the choice of actors and the way they do thier job makes this movie just as freakin funny as any Bill Murray movie. Pay attention to the way they say their lines and how they interact with each other--you'll laugh your butt off! This is a great movie, any price you pay for it will be worth the viewing, 100% !

Summary: A sort of poetry...
Review: Maybe this movie was formulaic. You know the boy and girls pledge to be faithful will go awry. You know one of them will mistakenly send a revenge letter, and that this will necessitate a road trip. You even know a car will be totally destroyed. Maybe you've seen enough of these movies to know the beginning, middle and end by heart. SO WHAT? You know a haiku will have 5-7-5 sylables, but that isn't what's important. Sure the movie was formulaic, but they filled it out brilliantly. (And by the way, it was MUCH better than "Road Trip" which came out summer '00)

Summary: Great funny movie!!!
Review: One of the best romantic and funny movies of the last 10 years! The story is almost the same like the movie Road Trip, only it was made earlier and is much better!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: One of Reese Witherspoons's better movies!
Review: Overnight Delivery was a good surprise for me when I watched it on TV. Paul Rudd does a great job as Wyatt Tripps, a college student who is afraid his girlfriend Kim (Christine Taylor) is cheating on him. He seeks revenge and joins up with Ivy Miller (Reese Witherspoon) to do so. Witherspoon did a awesome job as Ivy, a good movie of hers to watch before she did the amazingly annoying Sweet Home Alabama and Legally Blonde.

Summary: YOU MUST SEE THIS!!!
Review: Overnight Delivery, starring Paul Rudd of Clueless fame and the up and coming Reese Witherspoon, is a fun and at times eccentric film about Tripps(Rudd), a undergrad who has to go hundreds of miles across the country with Ivy(Witherspoon) to stop a letter that has been sent-- you guessed it-- "overnight delivery" to his girlfriend that could ruin their relationship. Together Ivy and Tripps go across the country in a VW Thing-- seeing this car is enough reason to watch this film!!!-- and run into a number of obstacles, and although this movie plays on an old, consistently reused plot of having to get somewhere fast but constantly having problems along the way-- this movie gives it a new entertaining spin. Although the movie was technically written by Kevin Smith of Clerks, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy fame, most of his twisted sense of humor and waxing intellectual on trivial events was written out of the final script by the studio and he actually--- as far as I understand-- would like no credit for the film. A great film overall and although it would have been interesting to see what Kevin Smith would have brought to the storyline (especially Silent Bob and Jay-- if you don't know what I'm talking about, rent Mallrats) this movie is pretty good!!

Summary: nice come out
Review: Reese Witherpoon(LEgally Blone 1 and 2, Best Laid Plans) meets Paul Rudd(The Cider House Rules and Halloween6: The Curse OF Michael Myers). Rudd wants to breakup with his girlfriend played by Christine Taylor(Zoolander and Campfire Tales)beacause he suspects shes cheating on him, so he sends it out with Larry Drake(Dr. Giggles, Dark Man) who is crazy as hell but Rudd doesnt feel like the letter is right so then him and Witherspoon race against the crazy ass Drake to try to stop him from giving her the letter...inbetween the story the 2 become close and fall for each other at the end..so it turns out better then expected

Summary: An enexpected surprise, this movie is great to watch!
Review: Reese Witherspoon is good in anything, and with the combination of Paul Rudd, that makes this movie in the top ten of 1996!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Overall good movie...
Review: The movie was okay...Paul Rudd is a loser...and Reese Witherspoon (as usual) was the bomb. The movie deserved 1 star, Paul Rudd deserved NONE, and Reese herself gets a total 5. Paul Rudd should be shot, and Reese should be the queen.

Summary: I cant beleive no one else has reviewed this!
Review: The plot of this movie is that this guy has a really ... prissy beautiful girlfriend in college (a different one than his) and he sends her a used condom and a picture of him wioth another girl, and it will get to her on Valentines day. after he realizes the error of his ways, he goes on the journey to stalk down the crazy UPS guy to get his package back before she gets it. He joins up with a girl he meets, and it is hilarious and great and has a great great suprise ending. i love it.
