Summary: ok i admit that this is sandler's best film
Review: i admit i refuse to see LITTLE NICKY back in 2000 when it played in theaters. i am not much of a fan of adam sandler though some of his sat.night live sketches were funny but his films like THE WATERBOY and MR.DEEDS: UGH! i didn't wanna see LITTLE NICKY; i didn't wanna hear that very screechy demented accent of his. so there was NICKY playing on TBS sunday night, saw it and then the chuckles came from me. i was laughing pretty much though harvey keitel's take on daddy satan was atrocious! i also digged the cameos from quentin tarantino, dan marino, henry winkler, rob schneider ('you can do iiiiiiiiiiit' from WATERBOY), ozzy doing his famous bat biting bit, carl weathers, the harlem globetrotters, bill walton, SNL alumni, etc. rob smigel as the voice of nicky's partner bulldog, beefy is hilarious (telling nicky to 'release his evil' on a roommate's can of coke; he changes the inside flavor to a pepsi--fun-ny). i laughed plenty to give this ***. a decent job by sandler.

Summary: a big disappointment
Review: Adam Sandler does a great job repackaging the same character from film to film. He is always the tender-hearted, mis-understood man with low self esteem who is ultimately rescued by the love an unlikely girlfriend. In this movie, however, good acting notwithstanding, comedy dies a thousand deaths.

Sandler plays Nicky, youngest son of the Devil. Lucifer, who retired as the Devil 10,000 years earlier, is played in short cameos by Rodney Dangerfield. The current Devil, played by Harvey Keitel, is the doting father of his 3 sons. Now that his 10,000 year reign as the current Prince of Darkness draws nigh, Nicky's older brothers, Cassius & Adrian, are vying for their dad's throne.

After a varied turn of events, Nicky (who suffers from a malformed face and a speech impetiment... among other things) must go to Earth on a mission to save his father from decomposing in Hell. Despite his demonic roots, Nicky is too kind-hearted to be too devlish, and is terribly out of his element on Earth, where he is misunderstood and always confused.

The film is star studded with professional athletes and with Sandler's former SNL cast-mates.

Stereotyped religious zealots, demonic possesions, belching fire and peeing acid... these are the many sight gags used through out that just don't seem to work. The special effects are good enough for a film of this calibre, but the whole story is just so perposterous. With this type of story, you're expected to suspend some facts from memory - but this film asks you suspend your cerebral cortex and your brain stem... only the medula oblongata has a chance of sitting through this dry tale.

The blasphemous occurances may have experienced some redemption if the film had actually been funny. As always, Sandler proves himself as an accomplished actor in any role - whether as a leading man or as a bafoon - but even his talents are not enough to ressurrect this from the bowels of movie hell.

This is not the worst film I've ever seen by a long shot - but it is still pretty stinking awful.

Summary: Worst movie I've ever seen
Review: I hate this movie, because it was a waste of my time and money to watch it. I never laughed nor cracked a smile.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not very good at all sorry to say
Review: The one thing this movie has going for it is an extreme amount of cameos. Rodney Dangerfield, Quentin Tarantino, "Chubbs" from Happy Gilmore, Henry Winkler, the list goes on. This is however the only good part to the film. Other than that, the film is just lacking in every department. The acting is bad, the plot is original but bad, and the whole film just reeks of repulsiveness. I wish I could give this movie a better rating as I'm a big Sandler fan. But Adam Sandler playing the son of satan who has the goal of bringing back his two brothers through the gates of hell in a magic flask is just not appealing. Like I said though, the cameos make it somewhat interesting to watch. Only, and I mean only if you really like Adam Sandler should you purchase this film, otherwise use your money for something else. This movie won't appeal to those who don't appreciate very corny, goofball comedy.

Summary: I liked this movie, good entertainment
Review: This movie is geared to teenagers and young adults because of the humor. I myself liked it a lot because it had several funny parts. There was not much of a plot, but that was not expected in this type of movie.
Adam Sandler was funny, and this movie gave an abstract view of how Heaven and Hell work.

This movie may be one that you want to rent though, as it is one of those movies that you can see twice and be done with.

I gave this 5 stars because i have no complaints, and it was funny entertainment for about 2 hours.

Not much else to say though, as there was not much else about the movie.

~Hope this helps

Summary: Little Nicky- a movie as messed up as it's subject
Review: First and foremost, little nicky is better than the average Sandler work. i personally found it funnier than big daddy, and that isn't an awful movie.
Little Nicky does, most importantly, provide laughs. Some of the jokes are quite humourous, even though they shouldn't really be laughed at by any sensible person, others are just disgusting. Your average jokes in little Nicky provides a titter. Other jokes provide bigger laughs and others aren't funny at all. This movie is in bad taste, especially for a 12 certificate, and some jokes will inevitably lead to quite serious offence. If you want to know what i mean, some of little nicky's targets include wheelchair basketball players and priests. This doesn't make the movie necessarily not funny, just some may find the jokes offensive. Other jokes, as in many recent comedy films, are puerile childish gags, but are quite funny and i must admit that Little Nicky made me laugh numerous times. Little Nicky does provide the laughs, some jokes are actually quite memorable and the movie displays a sense on mischeivous fun throughout. Off topic, some of the sets in little nicky are very good, especially for a comedy, for instance the 'hell'.
Little Nicky doesn't disappoint in terms of laughs. If you expect to see the funniest movie you have ever seen, than yes, you will be disappointed, similarly if you expect to be laughing throughout. Big belly laughs are rare in little Nicky, but luckily it does provide numerous chuckles, and if you like gross-out gags you won't be disappointed. Unsurprisingly for a comedy, the plot is weak and the acting poor, but Adam Sandler is reasonably convincing as the messed-up son of the devil and an angel, and seeing as little Nicky shouldn't really be marked on these grounds, it's not a big problem. There are other comedies i far prefer to little Nicky, but it might be slightly on the good end of the average scale. This film is actuall a 2 1/2, but a three will suffice. Comedy afficionados and people who want a laugh will probably love little nicky, but if you want a serious film you will be sorely upset. My personal recommendation is to see it, ask yourself how much you enjoyed it, and then think about buying the video or DVD.

Summary: Being Evil Ain't Easy
Review: I didn't go see this in theaters, because it looked REALLY stupid, but when it came out on HBO I gave it a chance because I am a huge Adam Sandler fan. And boy am I glad that I gave this movie a chance! It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny! This is some of Sandler's best work yet.
The Hell costumes and sets were fabulous, and I thought that it was remarkable that Adam could keep his face in that weird position for such a long time.
I also found that Little Nicky, and an Adam Sandler character from SNL (Gil Graham) share many traits. If you have ever seen this character then you'll know what I mean.
Overall, this is a HILARIOUS movie, and I highly reccomend that you rent/purchase it!

Summary: Maybe it's not Big Daddy. So what?
Review: After watching this film, I didn't think it was as bad as some of these reviews were saying. Although the Cameos by Jon Lovitz and Rodney Dangerfield were thrown in, most of this film felt funny, as in a subliminal message on a Chicago record, Popeye's chicken, and "this Pepsi tastes like Coke." Although the ending gives this film a cult-like feel, this film has enough good monets to rent on video/dvd. Even Quinten Tarantino takes has a place in this films fun, and I enjoyed Ozzy Ozbourne and Dana Carvey's cameos, as well as Reese Witherspoon. Although I am leaning towards a two-star rating, I feel that this is a **/4 film, so it would be a borderline between 2 and 3 for 5. I still liked it.Thank you for taking the time to read my review and feel free to leave me a helpful/not helpul feeback. God Bless America!

Summary: I liked it!
Review: Going into this movie I was waiting for one cameo and one cameo only, that of Reese Witherspoon as an angel (isn't she just?). While I waited, I was suprised to find that I actually quite enjoyed it. It had me constantly laughing, especially the dog, the dog was great. You definately got to take it lightly, it's supposed to be out there and crude, that's why it's funny. You can also play spot the celebrity, they're every where. But my favourite scene of all was, of course, Reese as Holly. Man was she beautufil as an angel. She was really the funniest cameo and she made the movie even better. Overall, it's a little wierd, it's an Adam Sandler movie after all, but still fun. Oh, I loved Rhys Ifans as well and the worshippers were a hoot!
