Summary: Kinda fun, but definatly not Sandler's best work
Review: After the bomb of the ridiculous and terrible "Little Nicky", Adam Sandler needed something to pull him out of the water. After seeing a preview for Mr. Deeds a few months before it was released in theaters, I had high expectations that this might be the movie to save Sandler's career. I was more wrong than right. It had it's funny moments, but just not enough. The laughs came in small and not as often as expected. But it wasn't all a huge waste.

Mr. Deeds is about a small town nice guy, Longfellow Deeds (Adam Sandler) who has just been informed of his inheritance of $40 Billion after his uncle dies, whom he had never known of. He immidiatly leaves his little hick-town and heads straight for New York where he inherates his money. But the thing is, Deeds does not care about the money, he cares about smaller things. So he then starts to bring his small-town nice guy personality into the lives of the greedy souls of New York.

Also with Winona Ryder, as a sneaky reporter who poses as Deed's girlfriend just to get the inside scoop on his life for her t.v. station boss.

Mr. Deeds was definatly better than Little Nicky, but just not good enough to pull Sandler's career back to the height it was at. But still a very fun movie that is at least liked a little by everyone.

Mr. Deeds runs for about 90 minutes. It is rated PG-13 for some crude humor, some nudity, language, and some comic violence.

Summary: there's a new kid in town
Review: adam sandler's remake of the classic people came to love eearlier. i peasonally think tim herlihy did a pretty good job rewriting it to this new form. of course he changed a few things to please the people of today. also steven brill did a great job as director, the commentary by these to were great. of course the best would be mr.sandler who is also an executive producer with mr. caracciolo. the producers are sid ganis jack giarraputo, we all known who these two are. then of course the cast was great adam, winona, peter, jared, allen, erick, and john. they all did great, go buy it. i don't want to give away the story.

Summary: Funny & Easy to Watch
Review: I loved this movie! It was funnier than I thought it would be. The whole story was really sweet. The casting was excellent and all the actors did a great job. Sandler was in top form and gave an endearing performance. And there is plenty of physical comedy to keep you going in addition to the sideline love story. The end has a bit of a twist that I didn't see coming and everyone is happy. Great laughs and great fun.

Summary: Very funny
Review: This is a great Adam Sandler movie. Based on the 1936 Frank Capra movie Mr. Deeds Goes to Town. The original was good in its own way, but the new movie adds a lot of new jokes and lot sof fun. Sandler is Longfellow Deeds, who inherits $40 billion from his uncle after the uncle dies. He leaves his small town in New Hampshire to go to New York and claim his inheritance. The movie is very funny and worth watching.

Summary: Cut-and-Paste-Comedy
Review: When the billionaire Preston Blake dies in a climbing accident his good hearted nephew, Longfellow Deeds (Adam Sandler), inherits an enormous wealth. Longfellow owns the local pizzeria in a small village and he dreams of publishing one of his poems in a Hallmark card. He is also a righteous individual who helps those in need. When Longfellow moves to the big city of New York, the press begins to dig into his background and the unscrupulous reporter Babe Bennett (Winona Ryder) does anything she can to get a story. Mr. Deeds has some good actors in its cast such as John Turturro, Winona Ryder, and Steve Buscemi, however, the film does not deliver a solid story. The film seems to consist of a large number of small skits that is glued together through Longfellow's adventure that appears to be rather incoherent as the story unfolds. This is why the film receives such a low grade, but as a comic adventure it will provide many hilarious moments and belly aching laughs.

Summary: Pretty good if you're a moron
Review: Not to belittle the legions of morons in America, of which Sandler is the moron king, because everybody deserves to be entertained. Actually, this movie is reasonably okay, if you think Adam Sandler is funny, and sometimes he is. The most interesting part is seeing his cronies from the Wedding Singer in alternate roles. Also part of the problem: Sandler's movies are nepotistic affairs with blank checks written by the moron managers of Hollywood, so there is very little self-regulation to be found, which might otherwise produce a movie of quality, heart and taste. The money is evident, but Sandler's the king of lowbrow, so taste never is. Winona Ryder is pretty to look at, and pretty funny as well, and that guy playing the 'Inside Access' honcho is hilarious. I don't think Frank Capra made very good movies either, but it's pointless to compare. This is an Adam Sandler movie--consider yourself warned. You should feel guilty if you laugh at this movie, and thanks to my inner moron, I laughed too.

Summary: Inappropriate for kids younger than 9
Review: I thought this movie was going to be good. I couldn't believe why I wanted to see this dumb movie. Too inappropriate. Too much bad language. I think it should be Rated PG13 mild language, rude humor sexual contact and climax. Also, I can find Adam Sandler really annoying. Hope Anger Management is better than this movie. If you can have any Adam Sandler movie, make sure it's not this type of ... . I rate it half a star.
