I Love You to Death

Review: Watch this with someone who knows you well enough to appreciate that awful, embarrassing snort-laugh you have when you can't catch your breath. This movie has put a nice twist on the jealous wife who wants to murder her cheating husband. Who'd think it could be funny! The characters aren't polite or glossy, they're down-to-earth and hilariously direct. Watching these actors chew up the scenery is a treat. Tracy Ulman really does nearly love Kevin Kline to death, enthusiastically assisted by loved ones Joan Plowright and River Phoenix and two hopelessly high hit men, William Hurt and Keanu Reeves, who can't (and never will) get it right. Everyone concerned does a terrific job and you may just find yourself liking these unlikely but endearing characters. Just like Joey and Rosalee, there's no accounting for what you love-you just do.

Review: Who is the dullard from Independence Mo. who said this flick is dull? I bet sitting around their living room is a hoot ! This film is hysterical. The characters played by Kevin Kline, Joan Plowright, William Hurt are wild. This is apparently based on a true story. This film pokes fun at many many things, especially male testosterone. Life in Independence must be really crazy if this film is stupid and boring to folks who live there.
