Summary: hilarious bowling movie
Review: Don't believe the critics, they have to be conservative and keep their jobs. If laughter is what you seek and enjoying comedic satire , KINGPIN delivers. Some of the scenes are simply gross, so it is not a firstdate movie. However, Bill Murray is in it and he'll make you cry with his sarcasm, and Randy Quaid plays a surprisingly willingamish fallguy. The movie jokes about all facets of a bowlers big dreams, but for a great roar of silly laughter , you can't complain at all.

Summary: The controversy rages on; but I'm in love with it
Review: The very fact that nearly every review here is either five stars or one star says it all. I don't really understand how a film as sweet and funny as Kingpin could turn people off as much as it has- although I can understand the humor being a bit too gross for some folks (although even the negative reviewers here say they usually enjoy gross humor). Nevertheless, I'm proud to be one of the chosen who can love it like an angelic, ugly child, and I offer no excuses or apologies for my taste. I recommend that everyone try it out. If you aren't into it after the first fifteen or twenty minutes, turn it off.

Summary: If you don't think this is funny, you just don't get it
Review: C'mon...this is MUCH FUNNIER than "Mary." Just seeing Bill Murray's "United Way" type ad is worth the price of admission. If anything, the boys from Cumberland, RI were trying too hard with "Mary." Kingpin does drag in a few spots (when Roy revisits Ocelot), but it is packed with hilarious bits. The spoof on "Indecent Proposal" is classic, with Chris Eliot playing his usual cameo bit. My next drink in a casino will be a sake & seltzer!

Summary: A great, great big guilty pleasure!
Review: This film is funnier that "Something About Mary," I'm sorry. But it's true. Woody is the perfect Farrelly hero (he's repulsive, yet charming in this film). And Murray is one of the all time great comic villians here. Has there ever been anyone worse than him in a movie. The film also has my favorite condom joke of all time- "Glow-in-the-dark condoms: I mean those things are fun even when you're by yourself."

Summary: Classic Funny
Review: This one will be played millions of times down the road and joins the ranks of the classic comedies - Animal House, MASH, Blazing Saddles, Caddyshack.

Great movie, laugh out loud riot, and won't catch all the jokes first time through. The Farrelly brothers do it again.

Don't get "Munson'd" - watch this movie.

Summary: Dumb and Dumber was awful, this is a classic
Review: Could Dumb and Dumber be made by the same people who made this and Something about Mary? Unlike the sopomore slump the Farrelly's first movie was a freshman slump, unfunny and mean, while their second film has heart and big laughs. Where in D&D everyone seemed TRYING too hard to show how funny everything was supposed to be, Kingpin underplays and plays it straight (mostly) to great effect. Kingpin is underated and plays nicely with Mary. I salute the Farrelly's, it was a jump as if the makers of Bio-Dome then went on to do Raging Bull.

Summary: One of the two worst movies I have ever seen
Review: This movie is not only bad, it will make you feel like taking a shower after watching it.

Let me first say that I think that most comedy like South Park, George Carlin, Monty Python and the like are great -- I'm not easily grossed out or offended, but this movie was staggeringly bad. Awful writing, unforgettable (in the worst sense of the word) lower than bathroom humor, and just a mean, depressing, completely unredeemable movie.

Summary: THE FUNNIEST OF THE FARRELY BROTHERS FILMS!!!!!
Review: This is the funniest movie that I have ever seen the one liners and sight gags are classics. Woody Harrelsons best comedic effort by far, and Bill Murray is at his best in this film.I don't want to leave out the fact that Vanessa Angel is very nice to look at as well." The old shaving cream trick in this movie is a hoot, I never laughed so hard, not to mention Roy working of his rent money with his land lady. Buy this film you won't regret it. You still owe me another months rent munson, LA!LA!LA!LA!

Summary: FUNNY!!!!
Review: The Farrelly brothers have certainly made a name for themselves lately with There's Something About Mary and Dumb And Dumber. This film was highly overlooked. It is definitely the funniest of the Farrelly movies and most offensive. Woody Harellson ( who hasn't given a great performance since Natural Born Killers ) gives to us one of the most believable idiots in movie history. The thing that was wrong with Jim Carrey's character in Dumb And Dumber was that his character was too dumb. Carrey was believable, but the character was seriously flawed. In this case, Harellson comes across as a recognizable dim-wit. We can all relate his character to someone we remember.Bill Murray is a complete back stabber in this, but you love to hate him. " Dee...Deeper, kid! " I haven't seen Murray this funny since Where the Buffallo Roam. " Hi. No not you......you! Hi. "This is one of the funniest movies ever made. You will surely have a good time.
