Rating: Summary: Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray's Best Work Review: This is an excellent follow-up to Dumb and Dumber. Woody Harrelson's Roy Munson and Bill Murray's Ernie McCracken are memorable as two competing bowlers. True, the jokes are kind of raunchy but still are incredibly funny. Probably the funniest movie released in the past 20 years.
Rating: Summary: Are you a fan of twisted humor? You will love this movie. Review: The first review does have it wrong. This movie really breaks away from the hum-drum, and provides a new style comedy every bit as funny as Theres Somthing About Mary. A real hidden clasic.
Rating: Summary: laugh a minute if you're into this kind of humor! Review: if you liked dumb&dumber and there's something about mary, you'll definitely like Kingpin! i can't wait till this one comes out on DVD!!!
Rating: Summary: This is way better than that "Mary" movie Review: I think the Amazon.com reviewer got this all wrong. This movie actually makes you care about the characters and thus it makes the humor even greater when they make fools of themselves. There's so many little humorous details that enhance the film, like when Bill Murray's hair flops up during the bowling scene. This is definitely a funny movie.
Rating: Summary: excellent, don't listen to the other reviews Review: This is a fantastic movie if you like animal house type humor, 5 stars, baby!!!
Rating: Summary: Ranks with the All-Time Comedies Review: You'll need to see it 2-3 times to get all the one-liners and obscure references(e.g. "Way to Go Looper"). This is one very rare comedy that ranks with the all time gems like Animal House, Stripes, Blues Brothers. Don't miss.
Rating: Summary: God bless the Farrellys for bringing this to us Review: Oh how I love this movie!! I'm tired of people, namely critics, panning it!! It's just too funny. There are so many scenes that are truly memorable, I can't even begin to tell them. One that truly stands out is what Roy has to do in order to appease his landlady. You feel quite sorry for him from that point on. Bill Murray proves that he is a comedic god when given good material; Harrelson and Quaid do very nicely in their respective roles. Good film to watch when you're in the mood for outrageous comedy. If you like this, you should also check out "There's Something About Mary", the comedy that took the theaters by storm last year. Please, guys, don't keep us waiting!! Bring on the next grossfest!!
Rating: Summary: You can't argue taste, can you? Review: Tom Keogh may not find this movie funny, but to some of us it's the funniest Farrelly Brothers movie there is. it's worth buying the movie just for Bill Murray alone - his smarmy, womanizing bowling champeen is easily his best work since Ed Wood's Bunny. And as far as the hideous landlady goes, what's not to love about lines such as "You really set something loose in me, Tiger... there's just something about good sex that makes me ----". I rest my case.
Rating: Summary: One of my all time favorites. Review: This movie works. I saw it the first time on a plane with most of the funniest scenes cut out, and now after watching 10 times rank it up there with my all time favorites. It has a great sound track and it doesn't "over spoof" like the Naked Gun genre. This movie is much funnier than Dumb and Dumber and Something About Mary. How did they pick Quaid for the Amish kid?????
Rating: Summary: An absolute riot Review: I don't think Leonard Maltin and whoever the other idiot is could handle the sickness of this movie, but it's one of the best comedies of the 90s, right with "Happy Gilmore" and "There's Something About Mary". Harrelson and Quaid are good, but Bill Murray once again steals the show as the villain, Ernie "Big Ern" McCracken. Don't miss this, it truly is a riot.
