Review: Where can I start? The day that I stumbled upon this film was a day that I will never forget, a day that brings a tear to my eye and a day that I actually can't remember... Anyway, as for the film... It's an absolute Classic, if you're wanting to know the plot, read the other 101 reviews of this film, if you want to know what makes it worthy of 5 stars, then watch it. Steve Martin hasn't always been the funniest person on TV, but in this film he is immense. IT IS THE CHEESIEST FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN. I can't but help quote it every now and then in my every day speech! (and no, I'm not a fruitcake) The film is just full of worthy catch phrases and one of the all time classic jokes, actually it's a bit rude, so I probably shouldn't quote it or they won't put this review on the website. Anyway, trust me, buy some popcorn, sit back with the loved one and get carried away on a ridiculous ride with a video that's completely detached from normality, where consequences don't matter and which, by the end, promises to make you laugh, smile or cry. Enjoy. PS It's on DVD too, double happiness, and no, I'm not a fruitcake.

Summary: Continuing story of Henry Hill... Sort of...
Review: I havn't actually seen this movie but DON'T stop reading because of it. I apologize for the capital letters but I needed to get your attention somehow. Anyway, if you've seen Goodfellas, which is a great film, then you know who mobster Henry Hill is. Well in the end he is put in the witness-protection program and this film is loosley (but not ultra-loosley, just pretty loosely) a continuation of his life in the witness protection program... except a comedy. Another neat noteis that an older version of the script was written by the wife of Nicholas Pileggi (who wrote the book Goodfellas was based on [Wiseguy].)after talking extensively with Henry Hill. Anyway that's all. I'm gonna go now... Ok... Seeya.

Review: My Blue Heaven is a joy! We're not looking for a heavy serious movie here--this is light, it's funny, it's stereotypical but you can tell the actors are having a lot of fun with it. Steve Martin shines as Vinnie, the cool gangster with a heart of gold. Joan Cusack and Rick Moranis give us performances that are so enjoyable to watch because they are enjoying them so much. Don't miss the dance scenes - they'll get you up and moving! By the way, anyone know where to get the soundtrack?

Summary: Do Opposites Really Attract?
Review: "Sure they can," this movie answers, "if the circumstances are wacky enough!"And the circumstances certainly are wacky enough. Steve Martin plays a former mobster who has just been released from prison and has decided that he really needs to be able to go straight---I mean, he REALLY wants to go straight! The biggest problem, it seems, is that Martin's got a female assistant district attorney on his tail, who appears to be tearing her hair out over the fact that he ever got out of prison. I'm not going to give away too many plot details, but by a strange twist of Hollywood comedy writing, Steve Martin the ex-con ends up playing matchmaker for his attorney (or his probation officer?---Rick Moranis) by setting him up with his nemesis, the assistant DA! And if you like Latin music and rhythms, check out the night club scene, with Martin, Moranis, and two other women dancing the merengue! Ay, ay, ay!
