Summary: A Wonderfully Romantic Movie
Review: There is not much to say. I saw it in the theatre with a group of friends. We laughed and we cried. I then ordered it on pay-per-view when staying in a hotel on a trip. I went out and bought the movie the day it came out on DVD and sat down to watch it with my parents. They loved it too. It is nice to be able to sit down and watch a movie and escape from the trying times of today. Anyone who loves romantic comedies should make a point of seeing this movie.

Review: This movie is titled a comedy, but I didn't laugh once when I saw it in the theater. As a matter of fact, it is one of only 2 movies I have ever walked out on. The acting was decent, but not great by any means, and after sitting through well over and hour of this movie, I couldn't take any more of it

Review: Even for me, a guy who normally likes shoot 'em up action films, I found this film really warming. It wasn't smarmy or tacky like a lot of chick flicks I've seen (or been forced to see). This is really has a great story and there's no wondering why it did so well in the movie theaters.

Review: This is a truly a beautiful movie. The contrast between the lifestyle of the two differant cultures is so well shown. The brides family resembled a lot like an indian family, where eating, dancing, drinking and merry making is in abundance. Marriages are a beautiful occassion to be celeberated with pomp. The grooms family depicted a family which has been so aloof from the rest of the world. They hardly had any friends and relatives. It is sad to notice that a lot of american families resembles the grooms family. Family unity is one of the most beautiful part of our lives and we should make sure that everybody is intact and well woven into it. A good lesson to learn.,

Review: So much has been said of this movie already, but I would like to add my two cents. First of all, the success of this movie is created by exaggerating the cultural differences between Americans and Greeks. Everytime you play with the concept, you are taking a risk. This time the risk that the production team took paid off wonderful dividends. This movie manages to be hilarious and funny, yet it has a grain of drama in it, and delivers few scenes that will make you laugh until your stomach hurts. I especially loved how all those actors and actress devoted to their roles and gave their best shot... also having some Greek friends and being familiar with their culture -- some of those about their customs just made me smile for hours even after the movie was over. What I especially appreciated about this movie is the fact that eventhough people consider you ugly and a natural loser -- it ain't so. All it takes is an inner decision to be charming, gorgeous and successful with your love life. Believe it or not, your life will resemble your inner attitude toward it.. What happens in this movie to the main character -- isn't just movie drama.. it could happen in the real life, too.

Summary: People were exiced over THIS?!?!
Review: It's basically just boring and it has no real plot. Some people think it's good and I can understand that. It can be very funny at times and the actors are very good. I love Toula's father. He's so funny. And the old lady's funny too. I think I got the most laughs out of her. It's an okay movie and worth watching a couple of times, but it's not worth buying. I recomend just renting it and seeing how you like it. If you like it, go ahead and buy it, but in my opinion it's not that great.

Review: Sometimes too much hype ruins an otherwise decent movie. That's what happened for me with "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". I was a little suspicious when I found so many available copies on the video rental store shelves late on a Saturday night. There are good moments in this movie but it comes across as a good nightclub routine dragged into a two-hour movie. I believe it would have worked better if the movie were about the father with the daughter's wedding as a segment of the story. I would recommend that you rent, not buy, this video. I'm sure you will enjoy it but I'm not sure you will want to see it a second time.
