Rating: Summary: Bunny the Lifeguard says "go and see this flick" Review: I'm sorry but Jackass is the funniest show in television history, and this movie takes the cake as the funniest motion picture. What these guys put themselves through to make people(and themselves) laugh is unbelievable. ... I'm glad they're finally releasing the MTV series on DVD, I've already watched my VHS dubs to death and they're still funny.
Rating: Summary: the movie was the funniest thing i've seen in my life Review: i recently saw a special showing of the film, and even if you don't like the show, you must see the movie, you can't even hear your own laughter over everyone else in the audience. when i left, my sides hurt, my face was killing me from smiling. a must see, anyone that doesn't has no personality. must see!!!!
Rating: Summary: Jackass is a new low for television Review: Jackass is quite possibly the stupidest, most low-brow comedy tv show i hav ever seen. ...i would much rather watch comedies that make you think and use punch lines that dont involve a visit to the emergency room. the simpsons, seinfled and south park. now those are real comedies. johnny knoxville is just some guy who ended up getting a show on mtv. it's not like it's that hard, cuz they dont even play videos anymore. but thats not the point. jackass is stupid...
Rating: Summary: A Movie About The Story Of My Lige Review: If you have seen the previews for Jackass and dont want to go see it yet, you have no personality. It looks ten times funnier than the t.v. show that sends me rolling on the floor laughing. My and my best buddy Lyndsey will be there the second it opens.
Rating: Summary: How can you go wrong with Jackass on the big screen?? Review: I am so happy that they are finally putting the greatest show, Jackass, on the big screen. Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Bam, Pontius, Wee-Man, and the other jackasses are going to make one of the funniest movies ever. Wheher its riding a shopping cart into a sidewalk or piercing your [body] together, this movie will make you pee your pants because IT IS SO FUNNY!!!!! If you like Jackass or CKY YOU MUST SEE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Jackass...Good Disturbing Fun Review: Ok, so the first time around I actually watched this movie with my grandma, becuase I thought it would be kind of a funny and kind of disturbing experience. And she liked it. And I, an 18 year old female, loved it...HA, not exactly trhe target audience, eh? So there you go, this is a movie to appeal to a wide ranging audience. But seriously folks, this movie (obviously it's more like and extra-long and extra-freaky version of the TV show that spawned it than a traditional movie with a plot) is hilarious and entertaining in a unique sort of way. In order to thoroughly enjoy this film you may need to get over your innate sense of intellectual judgement that thinks that this signals the end of civiliztion and simply allow yourself to laugh and/or gawk. The stunts are shocking, gross, dangerous, or just plain outrageous--and often all of the above--but are always hilarious if you can just allow yourself to laugh. Half of what makes these stunts so funny is how much the guys crack themselves up doing them, and the exuberance with which they pick themselves up and do this stuff again...and again...and again. Think "boys being boys," plus some firecrackers, a few thongs, some hungry animals, tattoos, barfing, old man makeup, one very big shopping cart, and one very very little car. "Un carrito...Un carrito juguete." It's the TV show, just bigger and almost totally uncensored. Plus, some of the extra footage is awesome, and I have to say that the "If you're gonna be dumb..." music video is quite super. All that being said, many people will absolutely hate this movie. People who pride themselves on maturity and good taste will hate it. It will make many people uncomfortable, and everyone will cringe at the pain that the stunts sometimes entail. Sure this film has critics who think it's disgusting that this can pass for entertainment, and that it must reflect something awful in our national psyche that so many people love to watch these stunts. All I can say is that I think of myself as a noramlly well-adjusted and humane person who just likes to laugh at some genuinely crazy and hilarious people who can make a living of their overabundant supply of testosterone...or something. I guess. I think that's just super, sounds like the American way to me. One final note: please don't let kids see it. Quite honestly sometimes after seeing it you cant help but look up at your mangy ceiling fan and think "hmmm, if Steve-o could just jump up their on a trampoline and smash HIS old fan, why couldn't I? How dangerous could that be?" Or "How much would it REALLY hurt to have a baby alligator hanging onto your nipple by the teeth?" That's why it's rated R. When 12 year olds go seeing it they end up like that kid who burnt down his house after seeing the TV show. It's not the fault of the material itself, it's just that everyone has a little Jackass in them, and for kids this movie will just be dangerous, not to mention disturbing. All that being said, if you want some awesomely freaky entertainment and you're over 15 or 16, check it out!

Rating: Summary: A Jackass Movie Review: I remember watching the T.V. show once, and thinking much of it was funny. Then one day when I was in a video store, I saw that the tape was on sale, so I thought, "Why not?", and bought it with a few other things (a Who dvd, and Monty Python cd as a matter of fact).
It seems that everyone has one or two things that they know are pretty stupid, but they secretly enjoy them anyway. This is one of them. The other for me is Cheech and Chong, but even they can do a better movie.
All this movie represents is them dickin' around for an hour and a half. Some of it was funny, some of it was disgusting like seeing people throw up about 5 times, but a few parts were very funny, like waiking up Bam's parents, and definatley the Golf Corse Blowhorn. That was the only time I really laughed hard.
Some stuff though, like Dave eating a pee soaked snow cone is uncalled for, and just stupid. If you like the show, you'll like the movie. If you hate the show, you'll hate the movie. If, like me you kinda liked the T.V. show, then... you get the idea.
Since this movie, they broke up for financial reasons, as my friend informs me. Knocksville is in a few movies, but will probably fade out. I think Bam has a show now, that is almost exactly the same as this one, and Ryan is a regular. As for the rest, we'll probably never hear from then again.
Rating: Summary: You will love or hate this movie - I love it! Review: When all is said and done, Jackass is something that either appeals to your sense of humour, or doesn't. It's as simple as that. If you loved the TV series, you'll adore the movie. If you didn't like the TV series, don't even bother watching this. It's exactly the same, although the movie stunts are a little more extreme.
If your sense of humour revolves remotely around intelligence or your films to challenge and engage you intellectually, forget this. Don't even bother with it. On the other hand if you are prepared to put your intellectual pride to one side for an hour or so and engage the same sense of humour you had before you got a responsible job, mortgage, kids and all the other outlook changing responsibilities of life, do yourself a favour and see this movie. Not everyone in adulthood can still laugh at the puerile and stupid things that would have had them howling as kids, but for those of us that can, this movie is a treat.
When I first saw the movie, the golf cart scene had me literally rolling around on the floor in tears. I haven't laughed so hard for years. It's one of those rare Jackass stunts that clearly goes wrong at the end, but that just makes it even more amusing. Other personal favourites are the scenes involving the "old guys" including Shoplifter and the guy falling asleep on his electric cart in the middle of the busy intersection. Puerile and stupid, but if your sense of humour extends to that, you cannot go wrong.
As with the series, some of it is hilarious, some of it makes you cringe, and some of it is just plain sick. However, it is a breath of fresh air in our litigious society where people are increasingly shrinkwrapped in cotton wool for fear of personal injury lawsuits. These guys went against the grain and made a lot of money, and gained international recognition by enjoying themselves, acting like total idiots and entertaining others. Whether you like them or not, it's impossible not to respect them for it.
Good, unpretentious fun. Well worth it.
Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC MOVIE. ONE OF THE FUNNIEST ! ! ! Review: I bought this movie about three months ago and I saw it three times that day. I loved it so much...I think thi movie will keep you in your chairs for almost two hours. But...why did I say alost two hours if the movie is one hour with twenty minutes ? It's because there are special features and one of them are about thirty minutes of deleted scenes !! That's longer than one episode. The deleted scenes are great and very, very funny. You should see the last one, a big ending, but is faild. But even though they should have put it in the end of the movie. The next day I saw it twice again, but one time was with the audio comentary. There are also two music videos, one by ANDREW W.K. who plays great melodic hard rock and the other one with Roger Alan Wade I think he's called. Buy this one. NOW
