Summary: underrated film
Review: Ok, this is not as great as the original version starring Dudley Moore, and Peter Cook. But, it is quite good, and it has some truly laugh out loud moments. Liz Hurley is is fine form, literally, and Brendan Fraser is his usual loveable jovial klutzy self. The whole scenario when Elliot is the worlds most sensitive man is brilliant. Reminds me of this kid i went to high school with. Dont' listen to the negative reviews of this movie. Yes, This movie wont have any profound influence on your life, but for 2 hours time you'll have a good laugh. Cheers!1

Summary: Very charming and funny
Review: I have to say, I didn't expect much from this film, and was therefore pleasantly surprised by it. Brendan Frasier was a delightfully handsome geek, and Elizabeth Hurley was perfectly devilish! Funny, witty, charming, sexy and even a bit thoughtful, "Bedazzled" is a delightful romp that's worth viewing.

Summary: Bedazzled-Not your average Devil movie
Review: Ok, I may not go to church, or pry or do any of that stuff, so I thought that the thought that the devil could be Elizabeth Hurley was quite amuzing. I saw her in both Austin Powers movies, and she seemed so different in this movie. Elliot (Fraiser) the office geek who has no real friends, just thinks he does, goes to a bar one night, unsuspecting that he would meet the devil. At first when he exchanges a few words with his crush, Alison, she walks away when Elliot is looking the other way. He says he'd "Give anything to have that girl in his life," Elizabeth Hurley comes into the scene. A wonderful sexy devil, she bears several revealing outfits. I for one praise The cast of this movie, for makeing a new version of the older one, in 1967. I hope this is helpful, and have a Happy New Year!

Summary: Bewitched by Bedazzled
Review: I wanted to say how much I enjoyed this film. Elizabeth Hurley and Brendan Fraser were wonderful together. The movie was funny and get me on my toes! Fraser plays a nerd who is granted 7 wishes by the Devil (Hurley). Each wish was entertaining and some were downright hilarious.The thing that stuck out for me was the moral principles being explained throughtout the movie. They added substance and character depth. This is one movie I would recommend for everyone.

Review: This is a very funny, silly movie that was one of my favorites of the year. It's lighthearted and optimistic and was a pleasant surprise in every way. Elizabeth Hurley is drop dead gorgeous in a variety of sexy red outfits, a big bonus, making this watchable time after time.

Summary: Same theme, different story
Review: Wishing for something isn't all it's cracked up to be. The office nerd finds out that just wishing for a woman to fall in love with him has consequences even he couldn't imagine. Brenden Fraser expands his acting abilities by portraying various versions of himself based on who he "thinks" the woman of his dreams wants in a man. Elizabeth Hurley struts about as the sensual, sex-starved Evil One. Great casting. I'm not sure anyone else could have pulled it off. I never knew Satan had an English accent but it fits perfectly. Give this movie a chance. The message is clear. For entertainment value, it can't be beat.

Summary: Not spectacular
Review: If this film were an album it would be S Club 7: midly entertaining for the first ten minutes but then you just get bored of it. Saying that, 'Bedazzled' isn't awful, it's just unspectacular. It's mostly about wish fulfilment gone wrong. Think of this as 'Wishmaster' for pre-teens. Fraser is good value as geek, intellectual, gay, sports star etc. whilst Elizabeth Hurley hides herself behind an array of different outfits hoping that no-one will notice that she can't act. That said, she is the most entertaining person in the movie because she is so funny. This is half due to the script and half due to her dubious acting ability. Each nightmarish (or about as nightmarish as a '12' rated movie can get) scenario is amusing. This will keep you watching but it won't keep you entertained. It's one of those movies that will raise a smile every now and again but not an outright laugh. It doesn't go into morals or philosophy but feels it has a right to have 'God' pop up as a criminal in prison. Still, there's that sweet ending that makes you feel like you've got your money's worth.

Summary: Can stand on its own, even as a remake
Review: The original version with Cook and Moore was great, but this version has enough charm and wit to carve its own place. Brendan Fraser has had an up-and-down film career, to be sure. Some of his film choices have been, well, less than bedazzling. But he really gets to shine in this film. He essentially plays 6 or 7 variations of the same desperate character, and he breathes great comic life into all of them. As The Most Emotionally Sensitive Man In The World and a Very Manly Basketball Player, Fraser shows remarkable comic talent. His character's office co-workers also appear as supporting characters in his wish/fantasy segments, and they are delightful in minor but comical bits.
It is not always fair to compare remakes to the originals, and in this case "Bedazzled" is a film title with TWO very funny and clever versions.

Summary: Funny, Clever, hipply sweet...
Review: This remake of the Peter Cook-Dudley Moore BEDAZZLED more than holds its own in a funny, clever often sweet movie about a young man "looking for love in all the wrong places". Brendan Fraser is excellent as guileless, Computer Nerd Dud(ester) Eliott willing to barter his soul for ALISON, the girl of his dreams. Elizabeth Hurley plays the simultaneously ingratiating and voluptuously seductive SATANess who contrives to con Eliott in the Faustian
bargain. The chemistry between Fraser and Hurley makes this movie work with scenes that are overtly comic with humor that is funny without being vulgar or mean-spirited. The original BEDAZZLED is probably a minor classic. Dry,hip,British wit. This remake has parts which have Fraser as "wet" and goofy as he can be. It may not BEDAZZLE...But it will make you laugh.

Review: Can`t understand why many people rate this movie as one of the year`s best...
It`s a so, so comedy, not with too many laughs. One that`ll keep you tuned on cable TV, but I doubt you`l watch it again and again on your DVD. Video transfer is very good, sound also, using the surround speakers and sub channel very well. Elizabeth Hurley and Brendan Fraser seem to be doing something while they had nothing else to do. Their acting is a passtime. So is this movie.
If you`re a fan of Hurley, she`s better and sexier on Austin Powers. If you`re a fan of Fraser, look for The Mummy.
