Summary: Served Its Purpose
Review: Bedazzled is a film that altogether was funny but a film that wouldn't watch repeatidly. Brendan Fraiser and Liz Hurley mix well on screen together but that isnt enough to make this film any better. The gags in the film are shortlived with the comic value running rather short as the third and fourth which have commenced. This a film that is worth a watch but i dont recommend that you go out and buy it by word of mouth.

Review: What more could you want from a movie? This movie has romance, humor, action and a happy-ending to wrap it all up. Now, this is what movies are all about! You can expect anyone from kids to teens to moms and dads and then grandparents enjoy this movie. With a variety of plots and climaxes, this movie is quite enjoyable all the way through. Elizabeth Hurley shines in this movie with Brendan Fraser-both are perfect for their roles. You won't be dissapointed with this movie. Its one of my favorites now. One way or another, this movie should keep you glued to your seat. Now, all I can say is enjoy!

Review: Maybe it was just me, but I didn't find this very amusing or interesting for that matter...perhaps unlike others I don't find Liz Hurley all that... The premise of the movie is the lonely loser meets the devil and she gives him 7 wishes...Ya ok, believeable... The humorous parts weren't that funny...and I think they could have picked a better loser than Brendan Fraser..although I think Liz Hurley played her part to a T... I wouldn't recommend this film unless you like sappy lightweight humor movies...

Review: I watched this movie last night, and it was TERRIBLE! The jokes are not funny (you can see them being set up a mile a way), the dialogue is terrible, and the acting is even worse. I actually turned it off about 3/4 of the way through, as I was just so bored I couldn't even finish it. In fact, I think the only reason I made it 3/4 of the way through was because Elizabeth Hurley looks great! Otherwise, pass on this movie.

Bedazzled is further proof that dark fairly tales need not come under the name of Walt Disney. The film is like an adult version of 7 wishes from the soul catcher, a remake of the old 1967 favourite. As it may not be as plausible as the original, this is still darned good stuff, a highly recommendable piece of comedic viewing.

Elliot Richards (Brendan Fraser), a socially incompetent technical advisor working at a call-center, has had a crush on Alison Gardner (Frances O'Connor) for nearly four years. One evening, which already started particularly bad for Elliot, she ditches him. Elliot wishes for her to be in his life with all his heart - and is heard. An incredibly beautiful young lady addresses Elliot, and after introducing herself as the Devil, Lucifer, the Princess of Darkness (Elizabeth Hurley), she offers him a deal: Seven wishes for him, his Soul for her. Quickly, Elliot is convinced and accepts. But every wish he gets fulfilled has massive disadvantages as well, and soon Elliot wants to get out of the contract. The only thing that matters to him now is being able to take his chances by himself.

Indeed, Bedazzled is not the perfect film. It drags on towards the end, the jokes are sometimes largely unfunny and some of the humour is just typical. But, you can't resist Elizabeth Hurley in some very revealing clothes. She is excellent as The Devil, it's official that she has never been this good since Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery in 1997. Brendan Fraser is almost as good as her, it's easy to say he has lots of comedic talent, he does a great job of playing six different characters, each get caught in horridly embarrassing situations. There are also some very clever scenes to boost the film, including one of the scenes where Elliot awakes from his wish, and Hurley's shaded character is 'teaching' a class, and there is a greatly funny act in which Elliot wishes to be the most sensitive man in the world...

Bedazzled is a surprisingly above-average picture, far from perfect, but way away from bad, and it is to be as genuinely enjoyed as the first film.

Summary: Liz is Hot!
Review: Liz is incredible, and I'll never understand why she was with that phony Hugh. Try to sit through the original version of Bedazzled and you'll appreciate her presence. No one's looked this hot since Jane Fonda in 'Barbarella' and now Jennifer Love Hewitt in 'Heartbreakers.' Two warnings: the scenes where she is in a French Maid's outfit and where she has a snake around her in a bikini, from the previews, are unfortunately missing from the movie or the extras. The most it shows are flashes of those scenes during interviews. This big disappointment makes it a better rental than purchase. Hopefully the DVD of 'Heartbreakers' will include the scene with Jen on the treadmill, which is also noticeably missing from that movie. Don't make the same mistake this DVD made.

Summary: A Quality Film
Review: Far from perfect, Bedazzled shines at many times. The premise is quite smart. As Brendan Fraser gets seven chances from Satan (Elizabeth Hurley, another good reason to see the movie)to be a "better" person by becoming other types of people, laughter results. From a professional basketball player to Abraham Lincoln, Fraser tackles a lot of roles rather successfully. There is also a good moral to the story which you can wait for and find out yourself. Go ahead and at least rent Bedazzled. You shouldn't be disappointed.

Review: I liked the movie,but maybe it was just me but did they show GOD and THE DEVIL sitting at a table at the end of the movie having a good time? I wonder if this was an attempt to make the ultimate feel good comedy,showing the world that if they can get along why not everyone?

Summary: 3 1/2 Stars - A funny, lighthearted movie.
Review: Bedazzled is the perfect movie if you want to watch something fun and amusing. Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley both give good performances here, Fraser's being particularly good as he gets to play several different types of characters (all the same guy in totally different situations). While this will not go down as a "classic," it is still an enjoyable movie to watch - and re-watch. The Columbian drug lord bit was HYSTERICAL!! Several of the other sequences were great as well (the basketball bit, the "writer" bit). The only one that didn't work as well was the "Mr. Sensitive" sequence, and it still had a couple of good lines. The transformation in Fraser's character is particularly good. From a total geek in the beginning to a more self confident guy at the end (although still a little bit of a geek), Fraser's performance really shines. If you want something with real depth, skip Bedazzled. If you just want a fun, lighthearted movie to watch then Bedazzled is just what you're looking for.

Summary: Better than the old hokey one with Moore and Cook
Review: Elizabeth Hurley is much MUCH better as the devil than Peter Cook was. Although Dudley Moore was probably more pathetic than Brendan Fraser, Fraser was still pretty good. I think some of the other reviews were unnecessarily harsh. Who would you rather have granting you 7 wishes, dopey Peter Cook, or the ultra sexy Liz Hurley? I watch movies to enjoy myself. Whether they're actions films, comedies, and yes even romances. I don't look for the meaning of life in a movie and I guess I'm petty easy to please. Also I think Leonard Maltin is a bit on the whiny side. "remake...never catches fire." I bet he didn't like the first one either. Anyway, if you're in the mood to laugh a little and ogle at Liz Hurley being a really bad girl (and I strongly believe that there is nothing wrong with this), this is the movie for you.
